"Tri" indicates THREE. Whether you say that "God" is THREE beings who have always existed (in which case "God" did NOT beget a Son) OR say that God is one being who "manifests" as THREE, (in which case God did NOT "beget" a Son) you are still talking about a "Tri". Jesus NEVER ONCE spoke to the Spirit, or prayed to the Spirit, or taught us to pray to the Spirit, or glorify the Spirit, or worship the Spirit. The Spirit has NO THRONE, and has NO NAME. How am I to believe that "He" exists as a THIRD divine "person" ?1 point -
Days of Praise

November 2, 2015 Shadowy Things “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.” (Colossians 2:16-17) The closing verses of Colossians 2 contain a litany of holidays and regulations that were plaguing the newly formed New Testament church. Essentially, any other regulatory system is not a God-ordained means to evaluate spiritual purity. Dietary and man-made holidays can be carried out by a total unbeliever and can be easily faked. “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” (Romans 14:17). Paul told the Galatians these things were “weak and beggarly elements” that enslaved them to the observations of “days, and months, and times, and years” (Galatians 4:9-10). Even the Old Testament Law was merely a “shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things” (Hebrews 10:1). Even more dangerous, however, was the worship of natural, “unseen” things that would plunder the Christian of eternal reward (Colossians 2:18). Worshiping angels (messengers) is simply wrong. Worshiping fleshly intellectualism (the rudiments of the world) leads to error. Worshiping asceticism (voluntary humility) is foolish. These phrases in Colossians are unique to Scripture. The emphasis seems to be on a natural mysticism—using physical or naturalistic imagery to find spiritual meaning. All of the form and imagery of the flesh and the man-made rules and regulations made “after the commandments and doctrines of men” (Colossians 2:22) do not honor God—they merely satisfy the flesh. The “joints and bands” of the body (church) bring about a godly increase. “Holding the Head” ministers and nourishes the twice-born (Colossians 2:19-23). HMM III1 point -

Paleo-Hebrew: This comment is without foundation. It is speculative and held by a few people, but not by the historic majority. The majority opinion is clearly that the Biblical MSS that were written in Hebrew were written in Ashuri script. This is not a denial that Paleo-Hebrew existed as a script. We have the evidence that it existed on the face of three Roman coins and in a few documents among the DSS. But, this is not evidence that the Biblical MSS were written n that script. If you believe that the Biblical MSS were written in that script, please cite the MSS. For an article that discuses the evidence both pro and con, see: http://www.jewishmag.com/160mag/original_hebrew_script/original_hebrew_script.htm1 point -
Who is the One New Man Created on the Cross?
pnattmbtc reacted to Wingnut for a topic
Pnattmbtc I also want answers from Samies own mouth, but I bet they will sound something like the following. Done from foundation of world. All to receive every benefit Christ has to offer unconditionally? No. Each does as conscience dictates, empowered by Christ. Only if it is important to YOU must you believe in Christ. Can receive all benefits without even hearing of Christ. Being attached to body of Christ, all are empowered by Christ to overcome in their own special way. No. Conversion was done at cross. Now its just about "overcoming". There is no being born again, coming out of past "lost" life, since you have been found from foundation of world and written then in BOL. Samie uses words like "Christ" and "overcome" and phrases from the Bible promising good things like "eternal life" and being "empowered by Christ". But we are not talking "Christianity" as you or I understand it, which involves believing in Christ, the historical figure. His concept has no absolutes for all such as repenting of sin (breaking Bible laws), baptism, or any specific way of life such as the 1050 NT commands. Such specifics would require that one actually had a Bible, had read it, and obeyed it. This would exclude all BC folk except Israel, and even most AD folk. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck etc. then it is a duck. What Samie talks about, apart from using Bible terms, is for all intents and purposes not "Christianity" as you or I understand it. As you commended him before for his creativity, commend him for creating a completely new and different form of "Christianity" which offers all the benefits which Christ promises, without obedience to what the historical Jesus who walked the earth commanded. To me personally, this makes it anti-Christ.1 point -

“The Time Of Trouble and Close of Probation“

I haven't watched the video so perhaps I should just keep my mouth shut... But while it is to our advantage to know religious history I have a hunch that the end-time scenario will be larger than a repetition of religious coercion by the one with the most Christian power. At the least there is the 3-way alliance to see come to pass, although I believe that is well on its way. I am anticipating more to happen in the world of Islam, too, but in my mind more actions that will not only see more beheadings but also opportunity for God's people within the system to be able to flee. But maybe not. Then I foresee a development of Christ's children to become meek as He was when He lived here. Meek, loving, and persecuted. I think it will be BIG1 point -
Friend Zone?

People are different. My ex-wife was very uncomfortable with males, other than me giving her a hug. From my personal observation, those who did it once and did not read the signs had a problem and were probably people who should not be hugging other women. Working in a hospital where I had a lot of interaction with patients, fellow employees, and family members, I made it a rule that I would never initiate contact with a female. I would wait for them to initiate the contact and I would respond in like manner.1 point -

it doesn't appear that we can "hover" above the forum topic to see the "first post" and "last post", as we could earlier. I liked that, since I didn't need to click into a topic in order to see what it was about... and if I wasn't interested, I didn't waste my time clicking in and out of it..1 point
