Carson Campaign falling apart
Jeannieb43 and 2 others reacted to Bravus for a topic
"my observation from reading the LA Times & Seattle Times (both very liberal newspapers), and generally watching CNN and ABC News (never Fox), is that our POTUS comes across as being more concerned about gun control than he is about terrorism or protecting Americans." Which is entirely, 100%, the rational concern to have. The chance of being killed by a random American with a gun is literally hundreds of times as great as the chance of being killed by a terrorist. If you want to protect Americans (from actual death and injury, rather than from irrational fear), gun control is absolutely the place to put your energy.3 points -

I'll agree with you on that. Though possibly not for a reason you'll like. A comedian friend summed it up perfectly: The GOP debates are supervillain contests. The way to win is to demonstrate more evil - I'll bomb more people, start more wars, drop wages and conditions further, and so on - and also to be ruder, more arrogant and more aggressive than anyone else. Dr Carson has some pretty evil policy positions, but he's just too civil in discussion to win a supervillain contest. Trump, on the other hand, is so good at supervillaining he doesn't even need to show up to win!2 points -
Left-Handed People Now Eligible For Disability

HomeAll NewsLeft-Handed People Now Eligible For Disability Left-Handed People Now Eligible For Disability ALL NEWS BREAKING NEWS POLITICS TRENDING NEWS /FEBRUARY 7, 2015 /HOLLY BITTINGER /11319 VIEWS /BENEFITSCOMEDYDISABILITYELHDHUMORLEFT-HANDEDLEFTIESLHNANEWSOBAMASATIRESOCIAL SECURITY As of February 1st, people suffering from severe cases of left-handedness may be eligible to receive social security benefits. Lefties everywhere celebrated a long awaited victory with the passing of the Justice for Dexterously Challenged Act, which adds left-handedness to the growing list of recognized disabilities. The JDC Act was readily welcomed by President Barack Obama (pictured above), who is left-handed himself. He carefully signed the document, taking not to smear the ink, a common problem among lefties. President of the Left-Handed Nondiscrimination Association (LHNA) Mary Cavil told us, “We’ve been fighting a long time for this day. Left-handedness is associated with creativity and going against the grain, but what people don’t seem to realize is that many of us struggle with everyday tasks like adjusting the car stereo or using a can opener. And others are subject to harsh discrimination, being told by school teachers that writing left-handed is a sign of the devil.” While some lefties may have the luxury of being more ambidextrous than others, Mary suffers from ELHD, or “extreme left-handed disorder,” rendering her right hand completely useless and making it impossible for her to hold down a job. With over 33 million new eligible Americans, applications are already pouring in. Image: Barack Obama1 point -

I really like and respect Ben Carson. He is a deeply spiritual, god-fearing, and balanced individual. But I question whether or not he's presidential material because of his lack of political experience and connections. He is just too nice of a guy. I just don't know if he's willing (or capable) of playing as dirty as some of his fellow candidates.1 point -
Door-to-door evangelism
Naomi reacted to Kevin H for a topic
I don't mind door to door work, only the pressure that they are looking for either converts or sales. Door to door to share information both ways and for people to choose what they wish from what is shared and no pressure does not bother me.1 point -

May I suggest two possible options? 1. The Admins add to the sign-up page for newbies that their display name needs to be their real 'birth-certificate' valid birth name. Or just their 'real' first name as public display name. 2. On same mentioned page, tell newbies that any wicked comments posted with threats, insults and graphical evil will be reported to their Internet Provider. The result of which will cause close down of their account with that IP service. Each log-in to this web site records the user's ip number in a list. (provided one isn't using a proxy).1 point -
Was Paul a misogynist?
Unchained reacted to Lauralea for a topic
It sounds like you copied this from somewhere. Not too many on CA would wear a Versace gown and obviously this is satirical. And no Paul is not a misogynist. This is written almost like an unbeliever not like someone who has a clear understanding of the text. Shamefacedness is modesty or a lack of inapppropriate boldness. Broided hair had strands of gold elaborately woven in. And not to judge but personally I find a nice tankini with shorts more appropriate than a bikini. Some say women at times were interrupting the service with questions. Paul also commended Phoebe an early church leader and spoke of Priscilla. I am also not sure if some of the details of behavior were cultural. Paul did say he thought he had the word of the Lord about remaining single in that day and time but said it was him saying it. Paul also told Onesimus to return to Philemon his master.1 point -
Pastor Elizaphan Ntakirutimana - - FREED
Stan reacted to Gerr for a topic
Quote: I have often wondered what will I do when faced with the death decree? It would be so easy to rationalize and say something like, Well, God will forgive me if I just do this or that a little bit if He knows my heart is with Him. So I think we can learn from the experience of those in Africa who went through that. Whenever I have been tempted to commit a willful sin in the past, I would go to the bottomline and ask myself, "Is the pleasure/advantage I'm gaining now worth losing my eternal salvation?" Losing eternity for a few years gain is not a very good bargain! Gerry1 point -

His name is Carl Wilkens - he is the Milo Academy (Oregon) pastor now. He was the ONLY American to stay in Rwanda to try and protect the innocent during the genocide.1 point
