  1. The problem that will becoming is not about people being forced to worship on Sunday, We should all worship on Sunday and every other single day of the week. The 4th commandment is about which day you rest upon and which 6 days you work on. Let's not forget to read the 4th commandment when we talk about Sunday Laws.

I remember as a new adventist, being told that going to Church on Sunday was the mark of the beast.. going to Church is not keeping the Sabbath, Those folks eventually left the Church, foundation can not be based upon stupidity and have long term substance.

How and when does Satan personate Christ?

Too late to be saved in the ark, yes, but not too late to be saved in spirit. They still could repent and be saved, though not from drowning. Same for all the little children left outside the ark --they still would be saved, though not from drowning.

The Kingdom of Heaven is Like ...

We've started studying The Kingdom of Heaven in our SS class at church. We started with Matt. 13. Rather than quote the entire chapter, I will simply refer you to verses. Matt. 13:1-9 is the parable of the sower - the seed that fell on the road, on rocky ground, among weeds, etc. Matt. 13:10 - 17 explains why Jesus speaks in parables (code?) In Matt. 13:18-23, Jesus explains the "code" in the parable of the sower. Then He immediately goes to the parable of the weeds in Matt. 13: 24-30. What if these parables - rather than being independent of one another, are sequential? The owner of the field in which the sower was sowing is the same as the owner of the fields with the weeds. Assuming the same "code" given in Matt;13:18 - 23 applies, wouldn't this parallel what happened in the early church? Some of the seed (i.e., the Gospel) fell on empty ears, some took root; but for various reasons it didn't survive, and some produced abundant fruit. In the field of abundant fruit, someone sowed weeds the is analogy of false teachings coming in to the true church - which it did according to several of the Epistles. The owner of the field (Jesus) directs the servants to let them grow up together - and indeed it has. Then the field owner tells them that at harvest time, to cut and burn the weeds (unsaved people posing as believers); and gather the grain for His barns (the Kingdom) Indeed, Jesus' explanation of the parable of the weeds in Matt. 13:37 - 43 seems to confirm this. Does this sound anything like Rev. 14:15 - 20? Consider the parable of the mustard seed (Matt.13:31- 32) If the code of Matt. 13;18-23 still applies, the birds who ate the seed in the parable of the sowers might be the same birds as are sitting in the mustard tree - not necessarily a good thing, if the tree represents the church. Then you have the parable about the kingdom of heaven is like yeast (Matt. 13:33) ... I have always believed that the yeast in this parable is a "good" thing. Everyplace else in the Bible, yeast is a bad thing; so why would it be different here? Nothing says the baker woman was good. What if she was a false church sowing seeds of deception inside the church? And on it goes through the chapter. Anyways, Jesus said elsewhere that the Kingdom of Heaven was already among them. The gift of the Holy Spirit on the church since Pentecost os evidence that the Kingdom of Heaven is indeed among us; although we are not yet in the dominion of heaven. Could the "Kingdom is heaven is like ..." be a coded prophecy rather than just a story?

We may not know the year, but we DO KNOW the day. Probation will close in fulfillment of the Day of Atonement prophecy, just as Christ died in fulfillment of the Passover prophecy, and the Spirit was poured out in fulfillment of the Pentecost prophecy. And it will close on the "day of atonement".

Politicians will do anything to stay in office, especially when it come to using the religion card.

How and when does Satan personate Christ?

If everything on the Temple Mount is destroyed by a bomb from Iran, and then the Jews are allowed to build a new Temple on that Mount, then I think SDAs would have to rethink the 70 weeks. Mrs White said that "old Jerusalem will never be rebuilt". So - right now, we are just giving opinions. We'll have to wait and then see.

How and when does Satan personate Christ?

I have wondered whether we ought to be keeping the Sabbath, and the Feasts during the hours kept in Jerusalem. After all - the people went up to Jerusalem to keep the Feasts. And in the new earth, we will all go up to Jerusalem to worship the LORD "from one Sabbath to another". It seems illogical that the folks back at home, would be keeping the Feasts at a different time, than the folks in Jerusalem.

    What about the “Muslim God”?

I totally disagree with the article. The God I worship has a Son, who is also God; and loves us and wants to save us. The Muslim god has no son, is vengeful, and wants to judge and punish us. Either they are different gods or God is schizophrenic. (Sorry Father; don't mean any offense!)

Much effort is put into unifying religions under one roof, a roof of thought contrary to biblical injunctions. The most unifying normal religious practice is the day of the week. It will take any person's personal loyalty to God Himself to allay the fears of those facing the threat of death if not acquiescing to false religious demands. 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.....Revelation 13 God is Love!~Jesus saves!

I was talking about the candidates, it's true, because I would be astonished if the current president made such a move in his final year in office. I could be wrong, it's an empirical question. I would presume any law change of this magnitude would need broad popular support, rather than just being decided unilaterally by the president, whoever the president is.

How and when does Satan personate Christ?

JoeMo, Satan will not only personate Christ in a spectacular setting, he tries to do it daily in our lives. I know that you are seeking and it is not easy to sort out all of the things that we encounter. And there is a devil who is actively impressing his slant on the things that we find. The Satanic perspective is so subtle that we don't always perceive that he is in the mix. He specializes in promoting misunderstanding, miscommunication, and mistrust. Then when our poor human minds get muddled, he tries his best to seal us in a state of confusion. But at this time in human history, it is crucial that we cling to Jesus, plead for the Holy Spirit and His discernment, and keep studying the Bible. Private (idios as it is in the Greek) interpretations abound simply because Satan is a professional: he tailor makes the deception to fit the character of the students. Maybe he thinks that if we have found the solution that fits our perspective we will stop looking and fall short. Through prayer and Bible study, Jesus can remedy that notion. [aside: Keep me in prayer if you will. I was getting ready to circulate my newest book (The Great Controversy: Earth's Gran Finale) on the Ides of March (15 March 2016) and a major publisher of Christian literature got hold of a facts page (Monday). They requested that I send the manuscript for them for review (which I have). So I am delaying the e-book release until they have had ample opportunity to read the book. Their acquisition department assures me that they have streamlined the process and I should be hearing back very soon. The Lord has promised to take charge of the work and to finish the work. And the events will be rapid ones. Who would have thought that a major publisher would have requested for me to send them the manuscript. I have always been the one to try to find them and get somebody to give me a minute to make the pitch.] Christian regards,

I think it's an interesting question. Some people predict a Global Sunday Law, but that is a lot harder to get to, in my view: it's a lot easier to convince majority-Christian America than countries that are majority-Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim or atheist to adopt a Sunday Law. I think part of it is that EGW did not really have a global view: while she based her work on history in Europe and America, she mostly wrote about the prophetic future of America, and it was a National Sunday Law that was the main focus.

Why do we discard the Communion bread and wine?

We don't know who prepared the bread and the wine. The owner of the house may have prepared those as well. The Passover night in Egypt was different from subsequent Passovers in some ways. In Egypt the Israelites slaughtered the lambs in their towns in Egypt, but later God instructed that the Israelites could not sacrifice the Passover in their towns-- only in the place where God would choose to establish his name. (Deut. 15:5-6) As slaves, the Israelites may not have had any wine for the Passover meal in Egypt. Later God instructed that they were to bring the tithe of their wine (and other things) to the place where God would choose to set his name, and there they would consume it (as well as strong drink and other things) as they feasted (Deut 14:23-26). Another difference was that in Egypt God told the Israelites to eat standing up and ready to travel, but later they ate Passover reclining. Would it really make a difference whether the disciples prepared the Passover or the man who owned the house prepared the Passover? Jesus told his disciples to tell the man ‘The Teacher says, “My time is near; I am to keep the Passover at your house with My disciples.” ’ Unless Jesus was a false prophet, he actually did keep the Passover with his disciples at that fellow's house. The Bible never says anywhere that the observance of Passover was replaced by anything-- that is just man-made Christian tradition (similar to the notion of Sunday-keeping). Also, the "for all" part of the phrase "once for all" never appears in the Greek text of the New Testament. The Greek word means emphatically "just once". The phrase "once for all" is how the translators have chosen to render that in English. Unfortunately, the "for all" part of that phrase can imply a replacement of something, so people mentally insert after "for all" whatever thing they feel should be replaced or whatever concept they want to convey . Thus we have ended up with spurious meanings such as "once for all sacrifices" or "once for all time" -- meanings which are not actually found in the original Greek passages. However, those meanings are deeply entrenched in the traditions that were handed down to us. Determining which day of the month was the 14th was not so straightforward when Jesus celebrated Passover with his disciples. The sighting of the first sliver of the new moon was used to determine the beginning of each month. If Jesus and his disciples were in Galilee at the beginning of the month, they could have sighted the new moon a day earlier than it was sighted in Jerusalem, if there had been haze or clouds in Jerusalem partially obscuring the sky near the western horizon. Thus Jesus and his disciples could have celebrated the Passover meal on the correct day for Passover according to their own sighting of the new moon, and then Jesus could have died the next afternoon on the correct day for Passover according to when the new moon had been sighted in Judea.

How and when does Satan personate Christ?

I have been an Adventist since 1955! My mother studied her Bible and found the Sabbath through THE HOLY SPIRIT! She asked her pastor (my mother was a devoted Black Missionary Baptist), she felt that the Bible was not just for the Hebrew or so call Judaic religion. She felt it was for everyone. We left the South moved to the North, New Haven CT. She started having all types of so call Christian religions to study with, including Jehovah Witness. She asked them all about the Sabbath none could give her a straight answer from the Bible. This include Catholic, Baptist, Presbyterians, Methodist and many others. At her job this guy was playing around using Scriptures from the Bible. She got on him and he showed her he was taking Bible studies, he gave her one of the lessons. She said she heard a voice state this is what you have been looking for. She took Bible studies and they kept saying they keep all of the Commandments. She stopped them asked about what day is the Sabbath! They would not tell her Saturday, instead the 7th day of the week. She made them tell her that the day is Saturday and she shouted for joy! Them she kept the Sabbath in the VA hospital even though others were SDA. She prayed and all said a light came over her and refuse to break the Sabbath anymore. Her boss was a Catholic and a military Nurse working in the VA in 1955. My mother was the only one who kept the Sabbath in New Haven VA Hospital!!!!!!! My mother was baptized and my father was struggling but stood to be baptized the very next Sabbath he was dead!!!!!! My mother remain faithful, she sold EGW books and Arthur S. Maxwell. She became also a great Bible Teacher on her job and community. Ask Mount Zion church in New Haven CT. and the South Atlantic Conference here. My aunts became Adventist, (only one left about 20 years ago, one died in the truth.) She also got discounts and bought all of EGW own writings, Arthur S. Maxwell children books and the green Bible SDA Commentaries. I wore out volume 1. I studied everything and check everything out especially Genesis. Adventist did not believe in the trinity and still don't. We knew that it came from Constantine during the fight with Arianism from the Jesuit priest. We did not believe in either view, we believe that THE FATHER, THE SON and THE HOLY SPIRIT were SUPREME BEINGS. We did not fully understand everything neither did EGW!!!!!! We believed in her visions not all she wrote because it was base on history during the early 1800. I became a Bible Historian because of Gen Chapter 10 and what the SDA stated about Ham read it please! Yes, I left the truth but not my faith, I never joined another so call Christian religion. Do I have problems with SDA today, yes I do. We have allowed the tares to creep just like during the time of YAHSHUA! We do not study the Bible individually but take the words of ministers who say "Thus said YAHWEH when YAHWEH has not spoken. They twist the Bible and we do not understand the word search because don't do it. EGW said she saw that word were changed in the Bible, I have asked many of you to look up the "god," instead many of you get mad at me. The word is a pagan word that derive from diurnal which means SATAN!!!!! You have to search and it tell you to see Zeus who the Greeks worship who was diurnal or SATAN I return to the church but with a degree because of what I read and study as a youth. My mother was making changes but Satan took my second father away from her she had a stroke. He became an Adventist through his daughter that I gave Bible studies to. I met him and introduce him to my mother. She married him because she raise her five children a lone. Sadly, I introduce her to a man who was an Adventist but he was a liar and the marriage lasted one year. He cheated and she left him and the woman he had a child with him both left the church, also he cheated with another Adventist. My mother heard him talking with this woman and the marriage was over. I met my second father when we return to Georgia. They were married for thirty years and he became a SDA but his daughter did not want them to be married. She became a Bible worker Director out in California, but married a crooked doctor in our church who was not a SDA and he claim he was a preacher!! He was crooked, put in jail, she took him back and he left her. She then return home took her aging father from my mother for one year. I got him back but the stress was too much my mother had a stroke!!! Later dementia set in and I am keep her today. She is 91 and I burred him also took care of him as well. He died 2007, and I have been back in church for over thirty years, 1976 to be exact. There is a lot I have not shared with you. I shared this with you all to let you know SDA is my faith and not a denomination!!!!!!! I studied the Bible and understand what was translated or transliterated and what was not, it was CHANGED! So I stand on the Bible and yes I have various version because I know the history of the Tyndale, KJV and the Vulgate Bible. You all need to study the history of the Bible, you would be shocked! So that's my story and that why I do not agree with everything we claim! We are not to add or to take from the Bible, read it and you find that it will tell you that!!!!!!! Oh yeah also my mother, and her sister with their husband and me and a few others build our own church with our own money here in Greenville Georgia, the conference has never been happy they accepted us somewhat! We will survive and we are a part of the SDA sisters of churches! So go figure!!!!! Check me out, I have nothing to hide!!!!!!!! Blessings!

Sorry hch, I'm with Thomas on this issue. We never corresponded until he joined CA; yet we both have independently arrived at the same conclusion. How and when does Satan personate Christ?

Sorry, no. Like I said before,(twice) IMHO these scriptures point to a choice people must make. If you want to remain evil - go ahead. If you want to be holy - go ahead. God will never take away our free will to repent. Our free will is one of the main things that makes us human; and "made in the image of God". To say that a time is coming in this age where God won't let us make a choice for or against Him implies that we could no longer choose Christ. If that time comes, it happens IMMEDIATELY before the 7 bowls of wrath - not 3-1/2 years prior.

Who are the seven heads of Revelation 17?

This is indeed sad. All presidential candidates say that we must go to the Middle East and destroy ISIS. We don't need to go there - they are already here - just waiting for the word to wake up. The MB increasingly flexes their muscle and interferes with business in America by leveraging the First Amendment (freedom of religion) against us. Over 150 Muslims walked out of a packing plant here in Colorado because management would not allow them to all leave an operating production line to pray 5 times per day. The Muslims did not return to work for 3 days; so they were fired; and the company hired replacements. So the MB cries foul and demands that the packing plant rehire the Muslims. A bakery refuses to provide a cake for a gay wedding and is fined over $135,000 by the government putting them out of business. In the same arena, the government fines a trucking company for firing a couple Muslim drivers who won't deliver beer to stores. Equality for both religions? NOT!! The POTUS almost exclusively (at least initially) blames terrorist Islamic acts on lack of gun control rather than Islamic terror. Tell that to the people for Paris - which has some of the toughest gun control laws in the world - whose people were mercilessly gunned down by Islamic terrorists. Tell that to the people of San Bernardino. There are mosques and Islamic Cultural Centers going up all over the U.S. in small rural areas where there are no Muslims - at least until the new mosques and cultural centers are built. By the way - many (if not most) of these new mosques are financed by the MB. They are also frequently built adjacent (or very close) to Christian churches; and are built larger and taller to imply Islamic dominance over Christianity. This is not a rant against Islam. Most Muslims I know are peaceful and patriotic - just wanting to be left alone to live their lives in safety and security. This is a rant against radical jihadists who by warfare or subterfuge are trying to impose their own version of Islam on the entire world. It is also en expose' on those religious and political ostriches who cling to political correctness and arcane, outdated eschatological assumptions and refuse to even consider the signs of our times NOW rather than what they were 150 years ago. If this attitude doesn't change, I fear that the free world will lose the war before they even realize they were in one. Look at the refugee crisis in Europe right now; and the disrespect Muslim hardliners are showing their benefactors. Do we want that here in the U.S.? If that is our desire, let's stay on the track we're on now; and buy burkas for all of our wives and daughters. Oh yeah! Quit worrying about a National Sunday Law and start worrying about a National Friday Law.

How and when does Satan personate Christ?

"In the middle of the ‘seven’[i] he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he [an anointed one - not Jesus] will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him" (Dan. 9:27) When you add the rest of Daniel 9:27, the one who puts an end to sacrifice can't possibly be Christ. He would NEVER set up and abomination in the Temple. Furthermore, Of His Kingdom there will be no end; the "anointed one" in Dan. 9 appears to have a rather unpleasant demise at the end of the "week"; wich would be 3-1/2 years after Christ died. From the middle of the 70th week until the end is 3-1/2 years - a time, times, and half a time - 1260 days by the Jewish calendar. The same length of time as the Great Tribulation. Is this just a coincidence, or is the 70th week really referring to the last 7 years of earths history? I believe it is the latter. All of the resources you pointed to are very learned men; but - as certificated SDA pastors, they must support the denomination's view (which is likely their own strongly held opinions as well). I'm not saying they are wrong and I'm right; I'm saying I don't believe as they do. Only time will tell who was right. Or we both might be wrong - we never really "know" how prophecy will unfold until it unfolds.

How and when does Satan personate Christ?

Hitler rose to power in Germany, because the people were in dire straights, and were looking for a strong leader to "save" them. The Antichrist will come to power in the same way, because of the same economic and war torn conditions - world wide. In Egypt, Pharoah came to power as the people gradually sold all they had, and finally themselves - to buy food (security). Whoever holds your DEBT - holds you. Revelation specifically says the Beast power will forbid men to "buy or sell" unless they have "the mark" - a sign of submission to the Beast. This is economic control. When you buy something on line or sign up for a service on line, you most often have to check the box "I accept" - meaning I accept your conditions of sale. We all know that an implantable chip is a very real possibility, and a cashless society with electronic "money".
