I find this very interesting, seeing that: Except for my accounting certificate I only have my high school diploma. I am a good guesser. I have an interest in many areas and like to read. The questions about war history were no problem, even the one about Germany's name before WW2 I could guess fairly easily. American history and European history are easily guessed if I don't know the answer. I learned a lot about foreign cultures in my correspondence with many pen friends over the years. When we homeschooled the kids also did this and we learned together. Our geography and history was tied to the places we received letters from. Where I am lacking is in science and maths, also in Greek mythology although I have collected trivia enough to bluff. I learned much about English grammar through studying French. There are ways you can gain an education, even if you don't have the paperwork. In all, I really liked this quiz because the questions covered a wide range. and I believe that the amount of experience a person has contributes to all-around education, creativity and genius because each area enhances knowledge in the others. I just know enough to do some damage, I guess.

And what are we to doe with it? about it? or to it? Laodiceans are notorious about being in need of nothing and they ignore anything that does not fit into their perception. It sure is not like it used to be when we would open a Bible and study the Bible. Now we have canned Bible studies that use those notorious proof texts. Yes the ones that have nothing to do with the subject, but if they did they would really sound good. Someone preaching from the pulpit at our church wanted to make a point about taking the blood of the sacrifice into the sanctuary so he added a text to his presentation that was totally out of context. When I mentioned that this was only done under special circumstances and was not the normal, he replied "I know that but I wanted to make my point." The problem with that line of thinking is that it is wrong to teach error to make no matter how good the motives might have been. Thanks for your comment, Now how do we fix the problem? Or do we just let the 3 angels' messages die off when the third is about to meet its fulfillment?

I'm not so sure I *have* a God (or god, or goddess, or suite of gods). I believe God exists, and is infinite, omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent... but not an interventionist. Rather than worship a god, I seek to follow the teachings of Jesus.

"The reformers — Martin Luther and his fellow reformers — took the historicist view. This is that prophecy is the continuity of historical events of periods until the consummation. In other words, God gave a sequence of events of history to Daniel from his day until the end of time. According to this school, the little horn was interpreted as refering to the papacy. Now we know the papacy would not take that sitting down. So they raised up two scholars, both Jesuits; one is Luis D. Alcazar, who got up the idea of the preterist view. This means that all the prophecies of Daniel were fulfilled within either the life span or the immediate period of Daniel. He taught that by the second century B.C. everything had been fulfilled. If that is true, the little horn cannot refer to the papacy because the papacy came after that period. The other Jesuit, Francisco Ribera, also from Spain, came up with the futurist idea. Part of the prophecies of Daniel were fulfilled during his life span and the last day events will be fulfilled at the end of time and, in between, we have a gap. That is the period of the papacy. So the papacy is exempted from the Little Horn by both the views — preterist and futurist. You can’t blame them for trying to defend their position. I have no problem there. What I do have a problem with is the fact that today almost all Protestant churches have rejected the historicist view and have gone to the Roman Catholic position of either preterist or futurist position. I do not watch 3ABN 24 hours a day, but I feel spiritually fed quite often by the programs on this channel. The Lord has blessed this ministry beyond any wild dreams in spite of Brother --- past mistakes. The same can be said about many of the Bible characters. I do not reject the Psalms simply because its main author was guilty of adultery and murder. King David repented of his great sin and he Lord forgave him. Moses was also a murderer, but the Lord showed his great mercy on him and blessed his ministry. The same can be said about Saul of Tarsus who became the great Apostle Paul. I believe that God is using 3ABN to bless thousands of people who are hungry for spiritual healing. At the same time, I must confess that I wish 3ABN would do more in preaching the three angel's message, and I have communicated this wish of mine to the former president, James Gilley. I believe that one of the greatest sins of the church is it's silence regarding the mass slaughter of the unborn. Our church is silent about this great sin against heaven. This must change. Many non-Adventist are doing God's work in defense of the right to life of the unborn while we are silent. May the Lord lead us to repentance regarding our past and present attitude toward this issue!

Acknowledging the sin and accepting the punishment is a divine condition for restoration. In reality, we all are Christ killers (Ps. 2:1-2; Acts 4:25-28). However, between Caiaphas and Pilate, Caiaphas had "the greater sin" (Jn. 19:11).

But consider that you are in effect asking readers to reject what they read in the Bible regarding the age of the earth. In that context, to refuse to give any evidence to support your claim is unreasonable.

Then if both are correct, creation week was not 500,000 years ago.

Kevin, A. Estab once wrote a poem about looking for the SDA church when he went to a new town. It was unknown to the local police-no crimes there, unknown to the fire station-hadn't burnt down, and so the poem continued until he asked the local funeral director-he knew where it was. If the 3 angels' messages preserve their unknown status, how long will they remain alive?
