I think you will find several very open minds here, if you've been gone for a while. Rudywoofs (Pam) posted excellent guidelines here. I also have many "different" ideas about eschatology and salvation the one would find in traditional/historical Adventism. My basic rule for posting some of my more "out there" stuff is that I NEVER (well - rarely) tell people they are wrong and I am right. The harshest thing I usually say is that "I don't agree with you", and explain. If you treat others here with the respect you would like, you shouldn't have any problems.

Dennis, If you *do* decide to post here, I recommend the following: 1) do NOT copy and paste from your website... 2) don't try to "teach", as if we are all a bunch of misguided ninnies who haven't studied, and you are the one with all the "answers" 3) simply put forth your statement of belief(s), along with your proof and/or concise explanation (again, do not copy and paste from your website) ... 4) be open to other opinions about the meaning of your various "proof texts" — not everyone sees the same thing in them.

We pray "lead us not into temptation". God ALLOWS the Devil to tempt (test) us. God "set a hedge" around Job to protect him, because of Job's obedience and loyalty. Then He took the hedge away, allowing Satan to "test" Job. But he still prevented Satan from killing Job. So who is responsible - the one who actually attacks, or the one who keeps the attacker on a chain until someone needs "testing"?? God can heal, but does or does not - based upon His "plan". Thousands and thousands of children have slowly starved to death on this planet. We prosecute parents who do not provide food, shelter, and protection for their own children. We call it child endangerment, when parents or other designated adults leave children in peril. I guess that standard does not apply during wartime?? Or perhaps the children of those who "know not God" are NOT counted as "God's children". I realize that we were all born into a war zone. What part is God responsible for? He is all-powerful. He COULD set limits to protect little children, or animals, but He does not. The "whole creation" groans in pain. I'm just asking... Looking for "better" answers.

If we blame God for the evils that plague the Earth, we take the side of Satan, who is actually responsible for mankind's' separation from the Creator. In the end, we can expect the deletion of all, or nearly all, of the record of human memories, especially the bad memories of pain, suffering, and death which will result in the wiping away of all human tears. Thus, those who are picked to join the Kingdom will have no memory of the bad things that happened to them during their Earthly life. Perhaps all of the infants who died of illness, accident, crime, or war will all have a place in the Kingdom, too.

He seemed to become a pretty humble person in his latter years. I didn't really care for his antics, but he was definitely one of the best boxers. The thing that stood out for me, was the fact that he stood up for what he believed and than didn't run away like many others.

lol .... don't be too hard on LHC... you'll get used to what appears to be his out-of-context scriptures .... lots of the time, they don't seem to jive with the topic or comments, but they *do* to LHC...

Good thing the true body(church) of Christ will be choosen by the Father and not by men who bind others to man made doctrines.

One of the greatest deceptions that the master deceiver can accomplish is to get the sheep to think that the other sheep are wolves in sheep's clothing and to take their eyes off the Shepherd who is quite able to discern who's who. Lest we forget how the Lord has led us in our past history. Who were the wolves in 1888? And who were the sheep? In Christ's Day, who were the wolves and who were the sheep? In Jeremiah's Day, the folks had difficulty distinguishing between the true prophet and the false. Should it be any different today when supposed differences arise? Discernment is of the Lord.
