The glory of God's creation.

I drive by the U of H campus just about every sabbath. I think the issue has long been forgotten. Was it solved? I doubt it. There are many unresolved problems facing humanity. If racial issues in the USA was the last and only issue plaguing humans I would be more concerned. Truth is there are many problems just as bad or worse that humans have no clue how to fix. The only solution I can think of is live for God, live each day, each moment as if it is your last. Only the Lord has an answer for the problems of this world.

I sorta agree, but also sorta disagree with the above. In presenting the "truth" to people, I think it's important to realize that we are not the voice of God. We can say the same words to unbelievers as Jesus said to the Pharisees, and think we're doing "right" because we're quoting right out of the Bible. But most of us don't have the innate authority that Jesus did that commanded the attention of people. Jesus could be "in their faces" on "on their cases" with total knowledge that He was doing the right thing. That's not so true with the rest of us. The example in the OP was given about watching mines being placed on a pathway. Do you warn people? Of course. But many won't believe you. They need "proof" — that proof can be provided by you, or they can test it themselves. How would you show them? I would throw rocks or some other heavy object that I could find in order to set off one of the explosives. Nothing like examples to prove one's point. In the same manner, personal testimony is one of the most powerful weapons against Satan. Just my 2¢

Answer: The Treaty of Paris, signed on September 3, 1783, ended the American Revolutionary War between Great Britain on one side and the United States of America and its allies on the other. Britain acknowledged the United States to be sovereign and independent. The treaty set the boundaries between the British Empire and the new country, on lines "exceedingly generous" to the United States. Details included fishing rights and restoration of property and prisoners of war. The treaty is named for the city in which it was negotiated and signed.

If works do not save us then what are the function of good works in the believer's life? For a witness so that others might be drawn to Christ. As indicator that we are resting in the finished work of Christ. More about number two momentarily.

I agree. To whom much is given, much is required. Along with the privileges come sacrifices!
