    Hard Questions

This definitely sounds like the faith testing of the children of Israel in the desert wilderness. That is what God's people are walking through today till we get to the Jordan and the Promise land. Blessings

High school's viral sign turns away parents,Good For Them

No one is trying desperately to prove how awful kids are today with the policy of this school. Some are trying desperately to find fault with anyone that does not agree with them. Personally I think it is a positive when any school makes attempts to instill a sense of personal responsibility. Why would an awesome teenager take this to heart as a bad thing? Forgetting lunch or homework is a fairly simple issue to address. Some of the private schools here have very strict enforced rules concerning dress code and especially bullying. It does not say because because they are all guilty,it is for those that are. Where public schools have lost control of these issues the private schools have not. The first incidence of bullying the guilty party is required to call a parent and explain what he did, along with spending the day in the principals office. 2nd offense a parent is required to accompany their child thru classes for the day, monitoring their behavior. 3rd offense they are out permanently. Dress code is the same. It is a reasonable dress code. For those students leaving the house dressed one way and changing away from the parents, they have to call a parent and explain what they have done and why they are spending the day with the principal. 2nd offense a parent is required to escort them from class to class. 3rd they are out. The offenses or need to carry out the penalties are very rare. Rather than students rebelling there is a waiting list for enrollment. Parents are more than willing to pay a hefty tuition . Some I suspect do so for the school to do what they have been unwilling to do and others appreciate the school continuing to enforce the values they have tried to instill in their children. "Good for them" is a judgment. That is quite a stretch to call that judging someone.

Ellen White's 'Failed' Civil War Prophecy - A Second Look

I'm new to this site and am not here to get into arguments with people I don't know. I am an author offering a book for sale that teaches lay people in the church how to give Bible studies in their own homes. I recently saw this Ellen White statement again and realized while it did not come true in 1862, the one isolated sentence I discussed did come true in both 1914 and 1939. Note to phkrause I accepted EGW even before I was baptized and have been a believer ever since. As I said in my post, this supposedly failed conditional prophecy does not shake my faith.
