I am simply responding to this thread from my walk, my understanding, and sharing what is clear in my mind... We do not have to have the same view to be walking with God in the light he has given us. In this world we all only see in part. Corinthians 13. I think we all find the balance of faith and our expressions of service and love and obedience... The obedience of faith is something different than the obedience of earning brownue points with God... That is all.

I am having trouble the Constitution in the Bible. My citizenship is in Heaven. Not a bad place to have it, it changes attitudes a lot.

It is a blatant lie that black groups like the naacp are not sensitive to and are aware of violence in the black community. Besides conservatives and those on the right do not care about the issue other than using it as a convenient club to whack their political opponents with.

Speaking of the Hobby Lobby case, Justice Ginsberg herself (who authored the dissent in the Supreme Court decision) has now gone on record (in the L.A.Times, at least) as saying this case has now opened the door for litigants to claim privileges which are not available to anyone else. In other words, this case is bad law. And she predicted it from the beginning.

He was a widower and she a widow. They had known each other for a number of years, having been high school classmates and having attended class reunions in the past without fail. This 60th anniversary of their class, the widower and the widow made a foursome with two other singles. They had a wonderful evening, their spirits high, with the widower throwing admiring glances across the table . . . and the widow smiling coyly back at him. Try as he would, he just could not recall. He went over-and-over the conversation of the previous evening, but his mind was blank. He remembered asking the question, but for the life of him could not recall her response. With fear and trepidation, he picked up the phone and called her. First, he explained that he couldn't remember as well as he used to. Then he reviewed the past evening. As he gained a little more courage, he then inquired of her, "When I asked if you would marry me, did you say “Yes” or did you say “No”? "Why, you silly man” she replied, I said Yes. Yes, I will! And I meant it with all my heart!" The widower was delighted. He felt his heart skip a beat. Then she continued. "And I'm so glad you called. I couldn't remember who asked me!"

I think maybe when someone responds in a petty and juvenile manner they are either jealous or angry that not everyone sees things their way. What bothers you? The fact that Trump did this whatever his reason or that he got a bounce in the polls? That the receipents were grateful for some much needed items? Do you resent the flood victims from getting some much needed aid from someone you hate? Usually when someone mocks or ridicules someone else"s gift to others they think they could have done better What have you done personally,hands on for the flood victims. Not possibly writing a check but hands on to help them? Why do you resent their appreciation and gratitude for what they received?

I have NOT read this entire thread. I do have a single comment though. How can righteousness by faith ever be considered to be a dead idea, for righteousness by faith is the entire third angel's message?

Oh yeah - I forgot about that. Although I am not a universalist, I think God wants to save everyone who wants to be in the kingdom; but He's not gonna drag people into heaven kicking and screaming. If we choose to be a part of the family of God, I believe He has provided a guaranteed path to heaven in the person of Jesus.
