For her full understanding we would have to ask her what she meant.. I believe it is meant to be compassionate and not try to impersonate the Holy Spirit. She said that statement after she did the harsh judgement on someone even though she said "She was shown by the Lord" she was 100% wrong.1 point -

And what is it you would like to see to undo the terrible things of the past? No one has ever denied or tried to justify the evil actions you have posted. It can't be undone no matter how many times it is rehashed. Using events like that to excuse violent behavior by some now doesnt help either. Blaming all that disagree with your viewpoint dosent make them racist or likely to commit those same acts.1 point -

gender is not orientation. i listened to the story of the woman who lost her female gender.... and after many years it returned. it would not have been any help for people to heap condemnation on her as a great sinner because she experienced gender confusion and lived it out. It would not have helped her to fire her, or deny her a supportive community during the years of her displacement of her gender identity. there was deep cause for these changes and societies denial of her process would have been only harmful. i knew a very effeminate man who had very hetero orientation. One change does not necessarily follow the other. no one is purely feminine or purely masculine... we are all somewhere on the continuum. some men prefer very androgynous women some extremely prissy women... and it goes the other way for women... This is not sinful but yes it is something impacted by the sin condition in nature throughout the world. The scripture says we are not wise to compare ourselves to one another... We are to be ourselves in humility, and allow others the same. No one is righteous no not one, but only Jesus. God profoundly understands and perfectly loves everyone of us regardless of how the sin condition is impacting us in any and every way.1 point -

I don't see gender confusion as willful sinning. Is PTSD willful sinning? when you are groping for answers and you can only see a small part of the picture at once... this is the effect of sin, but it is not breaking the ten commandments. is it a sin to have psychotic delusions or any delusions? is it a sin to have confusion in your life about many various things? is it a sin to lose yourself? or to be overwhelmed by loss and lose you way? i don't understand this condemning people who are struggling with the impact of the sin condition. There is not one person who is not dealing with the impact of sin.1 point -

Ross, I hope this does not come across as picking on you.. that is not the case. Just because a person is not convicted of the same sins that I have been, does not mean they are willfully sinning.. I still like EGW Quote from her sexual behaviour books in Testimonies on Sexual Behavior, Adultery, and Divorce (1989), p. 242 If we err, let it be on the side of mercy rather than on the side of condemnation and harsh dealing Do you support her on that?1 point -

We'll likely never see eye to eye on this. I do not believe Hobby Lobby is paying directly for contraceptives under the ACA. Rather they are paying for the option to have the contraceptives and therefore, are not responsible in the event that one of their employees chooses to take contraceptives (for birth control or any other myriad of reasons women take them). Hence, it still boggles my mind as to why they believe their religious freedoms were impinged. The funeral home is not a church. They are not in the business of judging the morality of their employees. Churches do that. That's a church's business. See 1 Corinthians 5:12-13.1 point -

In paying a salary to anyone, Hobby Lobby may or may not be paying for someone's (men and/or women) indiscretions. (Here's a dollar. I can't tell you what to spend it on.) No, you don't need to spoon feed me case evidence. I wanted to hear from YOU directly why YOU felt any of these cases infringed on religious rights. My comment, "what, not even a link?" was sort of tongue in cheek. As far as a change in sex...who cares? What difference can that possibly make to someone who is working in a funeral home? It's not a brothel. No one's having sex in that funeral home (or, at least I hope they're not). I still fail to see how either of these cases infringe on religious freedom. I was hoping that you'd enlighten me.1 point -

Not all minds are alike.... We do not live or die to one another but to the Lord. Joeb, I am simply not in a debate with you... I am not fighting point by point... Sorry if this disappoints. I am simply responding to this thread from my walk, my understanding, and sharing what is clear in my mind... We do not have to have the same view to be walking with God in the light he has given us. In this world we all only see in part. Corinthians 13. I think we all find the balance of faith and our expressions of service and love and obedience... The obedience of faith is something different than the obedience of earning brownue points with God... That is all.1 point -

Speaking of the Hobby Lobby case, Justice Ginsberg herself (who authored the dissent in the Supreme Court decision) has now gone on record (in the L.A.Times, at least) as saying this case has now opened the door for litigants to claim privileges which are not available to anyone else. In other words, this case is bad law. And she predicted it from the beginning.1 point
