No one really "knows" how prophetic events will unfold until they unfold. No matter what the end-time scenario turns out to be, our main goal should be to be ready for Jesus to come. If we are not ready for Jesus to come, we won't be part of His Kingdom regardless of the scenario; and regardless of the 3 angels message. Their message is not only alive, it's urgent at this point.

If you are in saying that Jews are no longer God's chosen people, I disagree. There would be no Christians if there weren't Jews beforehand. Jesus was a Jew. The Abrahamic covenant in Genesis 15 was unconditional. God's covenant with David was unconditional. Ajew (jesus) will one day rule the world (indeed - the universe). The 144,000 are all Israelites - 12,000 from each tribe. I point you to Romans 11 where Paul warns new Christians against disregarding Judaism We are NOT to be proud or arrogant thinking that we are "superior" to the Jews. "I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew." (vs 1-2) ... "Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious." (vs 11) ... "If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either." ... As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. Replacement theology (i.e., that Christians have replaced Jews as God's chosen people) is a satanic lie that has been used by Romans, Christians, Muslims, and Nazis to make Jews the longest and most universally hated people in history. If the Jews have been rejected by God, why are they still the supreme target of satan's wrath? Rather than God replacing the Jews with Christians as the chosen people, God has given Christians the privilege of being included with the Jews as God's Chosen people.

These base pairs establish the genetic differences that identify each of us as a unique person. It is this complexity of human life that contributes, in part, to our differences. One thing we modern folk need to remember is that the folks from the OT did not have the benefit of 20/20 hindsight to see where they were making their errors. We can look back at the Law being given; and I don't think most of the Hebrews could relate the Law of circumcision and sacrifices as types of the Savior to come. They (and their descendants) were looking for a worldly Lord and King. Even the apostles didn't understand what Jesus meant when He gave them the sign of Jonah. The guys on the road to Emmaus didn't even understand the resurrection. I'm not so sure that even satan knew the full consequences of killing Jesus. We need to give them (except satan) a little grace. "No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory." (I Cor. 2:7-8) SDAs have a few man-made traditions of our own that arguably "suspend Sabbath - like exchanging cash for a Sabbath meal ticket at camp meeting. It's still "buying lunch"; just using Adventist script instead of U.S. Gov't script; or talking about money and other church "business matters" from the pulpit on Sabbath.

Circumcision itself never became a tradition of man; but NOT circumcising on Sabbath became a tradition of man. Healing the sick and injured itself never became a tradition of man; but NOT doing it on the Sabbath did. The rabbi's took the blessing of God's law and turned it into a tradition of man, thus turning the blessing of Sabbath into a burden.

I was speaking of the legalism stage of moral development that is seen in young children toward rules of any kind. It is sometimes seen in new believers as well. If we presented the truth about the God's original covenant at Sinai, then the true gospel could be easily taught, and legalism would show up in the church just as often as the word "legalism" shows up in the Bible. Let's look at all the Bible passages that teach that legalism is a bad thing. I don't know if I've looked at all such Bible passages. In many of the passages that are brought forward when teaching against legalism there is actually no rebuke for wrongly motivated obedience -- the rebuke is for disobedience, usually disobedience to some more important aspect of God's law. Someone else will need to start this off because I can't presently think of any passages that teach against legalistic obedience. I think the Bible teaches fairly consistently that obedience is a good thing. The legalism that was a problem in the church when I was young was based on a misunderstanding of the purpose of God's law, and a misunderstanding of the Gospel.

Gerry: Even if we were to say that God was deceptive, that would not justify our being deceptive. To say that God was deceptive would not be a blanket justification to be deceptive everywhere, at all times.

God is infinite in power and kindness both... He is superior to to anyone one in all creation, fully trustworthy and gracious. God is more intimate than a life long mate. He perfectly knows every things about me, every dream i have ever dreamed, every expression of my DNA, every thought, every breath, moment of my life , and every experience and all those of my ancestors, every influence that has contributed to who i am. His will is that i should have life and have life more abundantly. He empowers every right thought every right action... knows every need, every weakness every deficiency... He is my all in all....

I do not think that it is being wise as a serpent. I would be interested in a private message telling me who the retired evangelist is, if you do not want to make that public. If I understand you correctly, the evangelistic series will be held in the SDA Church building. If so, there is no way that local people will not discover the fact, at least once they enter the building, that it is a SDA building. If so, to cover up the sign looks bad.
