The Nonimortality of the Corporate SDA Soul

The authoritarian point of view is deeply ingrained in our society. When we look at our political structures in Canada and the United States, even though we have both had federal systems, for almost 230 years in the US and for almost 150 years in Canada. Yet many people think that somehow the federal authority is the boss of the states or provinces. Many citizens of both countries do not realise that the states and provinces are sovereign within their area of jurisdiction. Here in Canada, when a province does something that people in other provinces don't like, one often hears comments like "the Prime Minister (the federal leader) shouldn't allow province X to do that", ignorant of the fact that the federal PM isn't the provincial premiers' boss, just like the US president isn't the boss of the state governors. It's the same with the church, many members think that the conference president is the boss of the church congregations, that the union president is the boss of the conference presidents, that the division president is the boss of the union presidents, that the GC president is the boss of everyone. When a district pastor is elected conference president, it's seen by many as a promotion; when a conference president is elected union president, it's seen as a promotion, etc. Maybe this attitude comes from the business world where a president is the boss of the VPs, who are the bosses of regional managers, etc. Or maybe it comes from people's view of the military where there is a Commander-in-chief and a "chain of command". I don't know. On SdA sites in the last week or two, I've seen members refer to the unions as not respecting the "chain of command" as if such a thing exists in the church.

Women do not die...... James White

Got love his logic “We object to that narrow-souled theology which will not allow the old ladies to have dreams because the prophecy says, ‘your old men shall dream dreams;’ and that will not allow young women to have visions because the prophecy says ‘your young men shall see visions.’ These stingy critics seem to forget that ‘man’ and ‘men’ in the Scriptures, generally mean both men and women. The Book says that it is ‘appointed unto men once to die.’ Don’t women die?” (James White, Advent Review and Sabbath Herald, February 25, 1862; Spiritual Gifts, vol. 3, p. 24). ANYONE else see where I am going with this?

    SDA Pastor Speaks to Leadership

No, we should do nothing to provoke premature attacks on truth. Jesus would leave areas where the conflict was aroused and hatred for truth was putting people out of control. This did not mean he was conceding any truth just that he knew the time had not come yet. When anyone tries to force the hand of God.... when we try to take on these issues in our time line by our strikes on the "enemy" ... this is always a mistake. Jesus never caused any needless pain or suffering... never. Even when pain and suffering will come, God keeps it to the minimum. God does not want us to be emotionally wrought up by these things, the work of righteousness shall be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. What we can do it take the time every day to seek God and receive the heaven bread for strength... , and let our light shine. This does not mean hitting people over the head with our mag lite. Jesus came like the morning sun, the rising of the Son of righteousness, gently steadily shinning brighter and brighter. And that light will keep increasing till Jesus comes, steadily and brighter.

    Trivia Quiz--Police Enforcement

Pam, I will accept your answer as correct. A golf cart could not have legally been driven to the shopping center. Yes, I did drive my NEV which can be driven where a golf cart can not be driven. You must remember my August posting when I purchased the NEV along with a photo of it. How is it going: Well, I like it. When I added it to my automobile insurance policy I estimated that I would drive it 100 miles a month. So far, I have not driven it that far in a month. The actual energy costs to drive it for one mile are less than it costs to drive my full size vehicle. However, my fixed costs of purchasing it as a used vehicle plus my insurance costs (even though they are much less than my full size vehicle) result in my per mile cost to drive as more than my SUV. My wife has driven it. Although it does not appear that she will drive it on any kind of a regular basis. However, she has often gone with me when I drove someplace in it.

  5. Do you have Scripture to back up the distinctions you're making between the 10 Words and God's Law of Moses? I realize this has been a common teaching ever since Gentile Christians stopped following the example of Jesus, but is it actually based on Scripture? Which passage of Scripture tells us that the Ten Words will be "the test of sin for all mankind"? Likewise, which passage of Scripture tells us that the commands from God's Law of Moses such as, "Love the LORD your God with all your heart" and "Love your neighbor as yourself" will not be a test of sin for all mankind? Also, how do you make the Ten Words separate from the scroll of God's Law of Moses on which they were written? How would you even know what words were written on the stone tablets by the finger of God if those Ten Words had not been recorded in the Scroll of the Law? The stone tablets did not endure in a form that is still readable by us, while the words written on the scroll did endure. Where is the Scripture that teaches that God's Law of Moses written on the scroll was intended to be temporary, while the Ten Words of the Covenant written in stone were intended to endure? If it were true that God's words written on stone are more enduring than God's words written in a scroll, what would that imply about God's words, commands, statutes, laws, and promises that God gave to Abraham that were not written down on anything at all? When we consider the awesome power of each of God's words, does writing them on stone really add any significant longevity to any of God's words? The apostle Paul makes it clear in Galatians 3 that God's promises to Abraham (that were not originally written on anything at all) were still valid at the time Paul was writing, decades after the veil of the Temple had been torn. If the Ten Words of the Covenant written on stone and protected inside in the Ark of the Covenant are eternal, why do you claim that God's Covenant with Israel written on those same stones in those same words and protected inside that same Ark is somehow not valid today? If the Ten Words are still valid as Law, where is the passage of Scripture that teaches that the Ten Words are not still valid as a Covenant with the Israelites? The writing of God's Law of Moses onto a scroll rather than into stone may have been a matter of logistics rather than a sign that one part of God's Law was eternal while another part was temporary. How many stones would have been required to contain the writing of the whole Scroll of the Law? How heavy would all those stone tablets have been to carry from Sinai through the wilderness for 40 years?. Would there have been enough room inside the Most Holy Place to place all those stones beside the Ark of the Covenant? Since God could presumably write in stone with his finger somewhat faster than Moses could write in stone with tools, how much time would it have taken Moses to carve all of God's commands into stone? How long would it have taken Moses to carry down from Mt Sinai all those additional stone tablets? Scripture tells us that all of God's Law of Moses actually was written on stone once the Israelites reached the Land of Promise. "And on the day you cross over the Jordan to the land that the LORD your God is giving you, you shall set up large stones and plaster them with plaster. And you shall write on them all the words of this law, when you cross over to enter the land that the LORD your God is giving you" (Deut. 27:2-3) "And you shall write on the stones all the words of this law very plainly." (Deut. 27:8) "And there, in the presence of the people of Israel, he wrote on the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he had written." (Joshua 8:32)

The case for endorsing Hillary to be the next president...

But Michelle Obama is being dishonest and disingenuous. She supports a woman who has viciously attacked women who say they were the victims of her husband’s sexual deviancy. They are no different than the women coming forward now, except their stories have stood the test of time, and have been corroborated. Yet they get no sympathy from Michelle and Hillary, only scorn and ridicule. Worse, Michelle proves her disingenuousness by having supported a man who was not only sexually immoral but played a part in a woman’s death. In 1969, U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy left a party late one evening with 28-year-old Mary Jo Kopechne. Kennedy drove the car instead of his chauffeur so he could be alone with the young woman. As he was driving down the dark road, he made a wrong turn and drove the car off a bridge into the tide-swept water below. Kennedy made it out and swam to shore. Kopechne didn’t. He never called the police that night, and instead slinked back to his hotel room. The young woman died of suffocation when the air-pocket she was in ran out of oxygen. If he had done what was right, she might be alive today. Despite this history, Michelle and her husband embraced the senator, benefitting from his political support. She never felt any personal grief over Mary Jo Kopechne. She never shuddered when Kennedy put his arm around her as they celebrated political victories together. The same is true for the alleged victims of Bill Clinton. Michelle apparently never felt shaken by what happened to Juanita Broaddrick, who testified that Clinton attacked her, biting her lip to keep her quiet, then pushing her onto a bed and raping her. Michelle has expressed no empathy for her, even though there were witnesses to Broaddrick’s injuries. Michelle never claims to have trembled for Paula Jones, who said Clinton pulled her “over like he has done this a million times and grabs me and pulls me over to him to the windowsill and tries to kiss me.” He then dropped his pants. Then he started — he pulled me over to him while he was leaning up against the wingback chair and he took his hands and was running them up my culottes. And they were long. They were down to my knees. They were long, dressy culottes. And he had his hand up, going up to my middle pelvic area, and he was kissing me on the neck, you know, and trying to kiss me on the lips and I wouldn’t let him. And then I backed back. I said, ‘Stop it. You know, I’m not this kind of girl.’ Where is Michelle’s outrage for Jones? Why does she support the Clintons, who have maligned this woman for years? Does she tremble at the thought of it? Has it shaken her to her core? Where is Michelle’s disgust for her husband’s indecent exposure—a criminal act? Unlike Trump, he’s caught on tape actually committing the crime! Despite the giggles of the women on the plane, is this not a sexual violation? At the very least it’s a sexual perversion. My president should be nothing like the man who stood before me all those years ago in saggy sweatpants, with an erection and a wicked grin, filling me with panic and shame. Seeing the video of Obama on that plane brought back that moment and those feelings for me, making me relive it all over again. Does Michelle tremble for me? Pretending to Care about Victims Is Merely Manipulation So what about Trump? Can a woman like me, who knows firsthand what it’s like to be sexually abused by a man, vote for him? I’m one of the women Michelle says she feels for. She says she understands my pain. The truth is, she knows nothing of my feelings, my pain, or my shame. Her words are full of manipulation, using women who have suffered for her own purposes. In a way, she’s no different from the predatorial men who use women like objects to feed their own lusts. For Michelle—and Hillary—it’s lust for power, and they’ll use anyone to get it—even women like me. “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! 21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all the saints. Amen.… Revelation 22 God is Love!~Jesus saves! Both the president and his wife gave a nauseating but convincing performance. Their outrage was something to behold. Poor dears have ever heard such talk, don't know anyone that talks that way. Yet not so very long ago they honored those that talk and sing trash on a daily basis. They make their living at it. I believe the one goes by the name of "Common". His ankle bracelet went off in the White house. Not a problem he only pistol whipped a man and makes reference to cop killing and those awful guns he appears to love. Beyounce and JayZ were not honored by invitation to the White House for their gospel music. They like the smutty language and smutty actions on stage, make money on their smut and poor Michelle so over come by Trump's remarks, has claimed Beyounce is a role model for young girls. It is a wonder that both of them didn't choke on their own false piety

Are the three Angels' Messages Dead or Alive?

HCH, I do find you're 'wiggling' quite amusing. Your way 'catch 22' statements certainly leave you a way out because they are so convoluted that most of us simply do not want to 'straighten' them out. USA from JerUSAlem, that is a real good one. Like I said '4 corners of the earth', world is flat.

This controlling and authoritative spirit is very disturbing, and I hope and trust it is to be met with the truth of the character of God, and the working of the Holy Spirit to make known the power of the Gospel. i am almost completely speechless watching this unfolding.
