Christ’s Ministry in the Heavenly Sanctuary # 24

Jackson, you trivialize my response. I did NOT say that we can blame Satan for our own personal choices. I believe that God (and the Heavenly Court) will identify Satan as the initial and ultimate cause of all sin - because of his rebellion against the way of Yahweh, and because he has deceived, and because he has lied concerning the true character of Yahweh. Satan will be held responsible FOR the death of Jesus. NIV Leviticus 16:20 "When Aaron has finished making atonement for the Most Holy Place, the tent of meeting and the altar, he shall bring forward the live goat. 21 He is to lay both hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the wickedness and rebellion of the Israelites-- all their sins-- and put them on the goat's head. He shall send the goat away into the wilderness in the care of someone appointed for the task. ALL the sin of ISRAEL was put onto the head of the live goat (which I believe represents Satan). The goat was then released in the "uninhabited place". I personally believe the "uninhabited place" will be this earth, destroyed by Satan. It will remain desolate for 1000 years. It will later be restored to life by Christ, at the end of the 1000 years.

    The Close of Probation, II

Perhaps we are not to the point where He will remember no more. I have come across the belief, which I can agree with, that that moment will occur when God says "... Let the righteous be righteous still." One of the beliefs regarding the tribulation period is the righteous will search their souls for unconfessed sin and will not be able to find any. Because not only will God no longer remember, but neither will the soul under tribulation. Because if the righteous person could remember, then God would know and remember! Weird thing about it all is, I do not think the Devil will be able to remember either or he would have something to torment the now sealed, saved, and sinless person waiting for the coming of Jesus.

Looked at your charts and found what are to me errors. Are these charts of your own creation and if not, where did they come from? Pretty much everyone that creates an end time chart includes some Bible verses to try and find support for their version. From what I have seen, pretty much everything you have posted that I have read does not match what I find in the Bible and other SDA writings. So, I would suggest a careful study of "Great Controversy" and "Daniel and Revelation" along with other SDA type books on Bible prophecy.

    The Close of Probation, II

My perception exactly. I have no misgivings re: God's willingness to give all to those who have the slightest inclination to receive His unfailing love, as well as cutting short at the earliest point of time, any pain caused as a result of one's own willingness to hold on to anything that defiles the soul. Nahum 1:8-10 NKJV 8 But with an overflowing flood He will make an utter end of its place, And darkness will pursue His enemies. 9 What do you conspire against the Lord? He will make an utter end of it. Affliction will not rise up a second time. 10 For while tangled like thorns, And while drunken like drunkards, They shall be devoured like stubble fully dried. God is Love!~Jesus saves!

Grrrr! Wish we could edit! This does not mean I am not open to new ideas, but a serious restructuring is something I will immediately dismiss with a serious compelling demonstration from the Bible and I do not see that happening. Should have read: This does not mean I am not open to new ideas, but a serious restructuring is something I will immediately dismiss without a serious compelling demonstration from the Bible and I do not see that happening.

    The Close of Probation, I

I think I will stick to the historical Seventh-day Adventist chain of events in eschatology as discerned by the early church pioneers. While there may be a bit of confusion about some minor points relative to the Ottoman Empire, most of it (Daniel & Revelation by Uriah Smith) lines up well with the Bible. Also, as many of the early pioneers studied their Bibles and came to their opinions, they were often confirmed by the visions of EGW. While many in the church today are "falling away", if you will, I am not impressed by many of the theories that have been devised to take the place of the early pioneers conclusions. This does not mean I am not open to new ideas, but a serious restructuring is something I will immediately dismiss with a serious compelling demonstration from the Bible and I do not see that happening. Understandings not available prior can be interesting and it is not like I have heard some very interesting concepts presented from the pulpit by SDA pastors. In the meantime, riddle me this, for the Anti-deluvian people, when did their probation end? I do not accept the the end of probation is going to be when Jesus is arriving from heaven and the verse from Revelation indicates He has already judged the world. BTW, the righteous who will go to heaven are not judged as they are not under condemnation (or judgement, the same Greek word). So, His reward He has with Him. Many have problems with the 2300 day prophecy, that is not really my problem. I accept that the Most Holy part of the Sanctuary started in 1844, as discerned by the early pioneers. Complicating everything, is that many theories about the sequence of events were devised ind the early reformation period, and some even by Catholic monks, specifically to confuse the issues when the students of the Bible began serious Bible study. And as a result, there is now serious confusion throughout Christendom regarding endtime events.

To avoid the issue? The issue is political. It is used as a battering ram to denigrate Biblical beliefs. Would I love to see all sinners repent and come to Christ, no matter what their sin? Of course I do. I know, and have known, gays and lesbians and never treat them any different than I do anyone else. But, and this is a big but, I would not see an unrepentant theif baptized into the church. I would not see an unrepentant bigot baptized into the church. I would not see an unrepentant pagan baptized into the church. I would not see an unrepentant liar baptized into the church. Sin needs to be repented of and forsaken before baptism. There is far too much open sin in the church and that open sin is one of the greatest reasons the church is spiritually weak and enfeebled. The Bible tells us this and the SOP tell us this. Look at what Paul told the Corinthians when they had a member who was sleeping with his father's wife. He castigated them soundly and told them to get him out of the church, not only for their sake, but for the sinner's sake. To place a person at ease about their spiritual condition when known sin is being openly lived is NOT in their best interest. It gives them a false sense of security. It leads them to think sin is OK. It is not. No sin, and I don't care what sin you point to, is OK. If we keep on committing it, it will keep us out of heaven. That, is God's word on the matter. The Bible tells us that too clearly to be disputed. Accepting people and accepting sin are two separate issues. We are always to accept people. We are never to accept sin.
