It was Federal that was the focus of my post. I would not dare to speak for all of the others. Why would I even mention Federal? Because as a former Federal employee I met people who thought that I had a job that provided benefits well beyond what I had earned and well beyond what they got. Often times I would find, if I talked to them, that they thought I was getting benefits that I was not.

JoMo, has as I expected that he would do , given some of the background of the alleged prophecy of St. Malachy. My point in the OP was not to deal with the controversy that exists as to the authorship of that alleged prophecy. Rather, it was to point to the Roman Catholic background of this present idea that dates back to the 1595, at the very least.

Thank you, Joe, for testifying to truth that salvation does not come from being baptized in an SDA full body baptismal font or being voted into church membership, nor investing endless unpaid hours in church service. ....and the confirmation of validation of God by His resurrection.

Salvation is not through the church; it is through faith in the grace provided to us by the death of His Son. The SDA (or any other) Church will not get you into heaven. Faith in Yahweh will.
