New Jerusalem Population
phkrause and one other reacted to Ron Lambert for a topic
The New Earth, we are told, will have no seas, only a few large lakes. Since the surface of the earth presently is 4/5 water, and the extreme latitudes are hardly habitable, with inhospitable mountains and deserts all over--and we still have a human population close to eight billion--there clearly will be room for a great many people in the New Earth. God could always make the planet even bigger if He wanted, reducing the size of the super dense iron core to preserve the same gravity.2 points -

There will be room for all that choose to be there! Really, very simple! God has no limits, only humans attempt to limit!!2 points -

I theorize that God has only barely begun to fill the universe with intelligent life. He will resume this work after the problem of sin has been fully dealt with, and we will be privileged to participate with Him in this work--since we share Christ's throne, and He shares His Father's throne. (See Rev. 3:21.)1 point -

Due Diligence
rudywoofs (Pam) reacted to B/W Photodude for a topic
I sometimes think anyone promoting Christianity in the business setting should be avoided. Many years ago, I needed a minor plumbing job done. I called Christian Brothers Plumbing and they quoted me $2000 for the job. "Oh man!," I said. Not something I could afford. I then called Sun Devil Plumbing who came right over, fixed my problem and charged me $89! I could tell more distressing stories of seeing Adventist professionals, but .... not something I want to go into.1 point -

Due Diligence

I could write a lot about what was in the article. But I won't. I'm inclined to disagree with you, Gregory. The church *also* has a responsibility to perform due diligence. I think they dropped the ball. from the article: "Satanic ritual abuse" ....Oh come on. Give me a break. Totally agree with you there. And therein lies my personal opinion that avoidance of SDA "experts" in any field is in my best interest.1 point -

Need Some Advice :)
LifeHiscost reacted to Gregory Matthews for a topic
I am looking for some advice right now. It seems that I am soon going to be in a place in which I can arrange for some charities to receive some substantial donations. I am looking for suggestions as to which charities should receive the available funds. Here is the deal: A woman in Africa is dying of cancer. She has selected me to distribute some $12,700,000 in funds to charities of my choice. So, I need to come up with a plan. Anyway, the very idea that she trusts me to handle such funds has made my day. Any ideas? NOTE: Please do not insult my intelligence by suggesting that I believe this woman.1 point -

tell her to send all funds directly to the organization called Spring, which sets up wells and clean water sources where there is no clean or readily accessible water. Stump her with this one... tell her all the statistics on people dying for lack of clean water all over the world. https://www.charitywater.org/?utm_medium=ppc&utm_source=adwords&utm_campaign=brand&utm_content=believe&gclid=CjwKCAiAn5rUBRA3EiwAUCWb2wbzow4qBMzTG0M6Jzer6ztjr2zJKC7zu7gF736kvFE214_H2M3cLhoCbmQQAvD_BwE1 point -

Thank you for sharing this information, Greg, and for reaching out in your time of need. I can't help you make the decision, but I'm sure there are many people here who are willing to offer you a bit of advice. I will offer to pray for you instead.1 point -

STAN this is a struggle not just for younger people but all people that are single of all ages my suggestion is that when emotions=== hormones===thoughts===affections===come up in your mind that you ask the HOLY SPIRIT to come in your mind=====a person may fall to temptation but if they will continually keep asking the HOLY SPIRIT then this can be over come dgrimm601 point -

One thing I imagine would help is to help young people in high school become employable immediately upon adulthood. The sooner they have the ability to provide for a family, the sooner they can pursue starting one.1 point -

Jesus alluded to a small number who would be saved in discussing the broad and narrow way. Don't forget the situation at the time of the flood. Some estimate millions of people could have been on the earth, yet only eight people could be bothered to go into the ark.0 points
