    It is really a "Vortex"

Not really in a straight line. There are many directions we are all traveling. I found these estimates: To make one complete rotation in 24 hours, a point near the equator of the Earth must move at close to 1000 miles per hour (1600 km/hr). The speed gets less as you move north, but it's still a good clip throughout the United States. How fast does Earth orbit the sun? Earth's spin, of course, is not the only motion we have in space. Our orbital speed around the sun is about 67,000 mph (107,000 km/h),according to Cornell. Yes, the Sun - in fact, our whole solar system - orbits around the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. We are moving at an average velocity of 828,000 km/hr. But even at that high rate, it still takes us about 230 million years to make one complete orbit around the Milky Way! The Milky Way is a spiral galaxy. The motion that's left must be the particular motion of our Galaxy through the universe! And how fast is the Milky Way Galaxy moving? The speed turns out to be an astounding 1.3 million miles per hour (2.1 million km/hr)! However, these numbers vary depending on who you are following, but reasonably close. You cannot just add them all up because they may not be in exactly the same direction. As one source said, you would need a lot of trigonometry to figure an exact speed. But I have seen guesses as high as 4 million miles an hour. And I haven't seen anyone weigh in on whether the entire universe is moving!

    SDA Church Shelters

lots of churches of many denominations offer shelter to people when they're in need... I find it odd that the NAD "news" seems to think this is a brand new idea..

    SDA Church Shelters

As a person who has formerly lived in the Rocky Mountain Conference, I have some knowledge of what the RMC congregations are doing. Currently church congregations in the area of the RMC, both SDA and non-SDA, are housing homeless people during the Winter that do not meet the requirements (in several areas) of the Red Cross as stated in the article that I cited. If homeless people can be housed under less strict conditions, why introduce stricter requirements at a time when the need for housing will be greater? I also find the requirement that people who are so served will not be allowed to eat anything that contains a pork product. I do not believe that the Bible teaches that we should so restrict others who may be in a critical situation.
