The issue is simple. An active shooter has begun shooting into a group of people. Two persons obtain their weapons and begin firing at the shooter. Well, if you read the following news account of this incident, it is not as simple as one might think. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 explicitly says that there will be a rapture. Whether it comes before, during, or after the second coming; whether it is those taken or those left, there will be a rapture where God's elect from all ages are taken off of the earth. "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."

I know if men can't keep YAHWEH'S NAME, which is in HIS Law, but changed by man; men will not keep their own laws. However, America from its beginning repudiated justice for stealing Indians land and destroying them. They also took Africans from their land and took over their land as well. The problem here is the myth that has been created in our church that the beast is the pope and SDA will be persecuted over the Sunday Blue law. Revelation mention the Sabbath once, but clearly states that the remnant will keep all of HIS Commandments. We confuse tribulation or trouble with persecution base on Strong only with the Greek and not with the Hebrew Dictionary. We have make false conclusion because all the pioneers believe that the beast was the papacy. They all came out of Protestant Churches and from the early Reformation this was the belief of all who separated from the Catholic Church. It is documented and Uriah Smith base his book from the Protestant belief and not from the Bible. EGW realize through THE HOLY SPIRIT after the 1888 GC session. She and her son went over her manuscript she wrote Testimony to the Ministers and Gospel Workers. It was finish and published just before she died and she said that Daniel and Revelation was not understood yet, but it would be just before YAHSHUA comes. What is taking place today is the movement away from those who claim to be so religious. They have shown where their heart truly ly and it is not with truth! The Bible says how can you love THE MOST HIGH who you have not seen and hate your brother who have seen. The Bible also said that as it was in the days of Noah and Sodom so shall it be in the days of YAHSHUA! Trump was set up to show the hidden agenda of the Evangelicals and SDA who voted for him. The same cruelty that they committed on my ancestors using the Bible is the same thing they are doing to day with the people of South America! We have more violence by White shooters killing a lot of people at one time with assault rifles than anyone else. They kill in colleges, stores, churches, the gambling mecca, schools and more. You can see the pure hatred and racism on Fox News and in Congress. It is like Trump shot them all with a dart, they are full of awful things without remorse. They curse more in Congress then ever before and Friday it was a disgrace! The Bible said be sure your sins will find you out and it is coming soon on evil Trump. Young people are turning away from religion because of the lies that they see and then it will not be long before all of this will end! Happy Sabbath and be bless!

I used this logic for over 20 years to "prove" their was no secret rapture. I have since come to believe that their WILL be a rapture (Adventists call it "Translation" at sometime during the latter part of the Great Tribulation. Through my studies, I have come to believe the seals to be the result of man's wrath against man, the trumpets are the result os satan's wrath against man, and the seven bowls are God's wrath against evil men. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!" (Romans 5:8-10) "They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath." (1 Thes. 1:9-10) "They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath." (1 Thes. 5:9) Rev. 14:14-20 talks about the harvest of the earth. If one looks at the book of Rev. as more or less chronological, this harvest happens after the trumpets and before the 7 bowls of God's wrath. I believe that God's people will be raptured or translated (whatever you want to call it) or otherwise protected before the wrath of God falls on the earth. There is strong biblical evidence that all (or almost all) human life remaining on planet earth could be extinguished by the seven bowls of God's wrath. This is just my current opinion. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong.

The Bible clearly says it was Satan using the serpent and I don't think Satan is plural or more than one. The serpent was created by ELOHIYM and that is clear! The Bible call his helpers demons. The problem I see is you are confusing the work of Satan as him and is not the same thing. He work using men and I know it was Satan who appear as an angel of light. Paul said marvel not Satan can appear as an angel not YAHSHUA! None of the Scriptures you provided makes any claim to Satan appearing as YAHSHUA! Again an assumption is a theory and not base on facts. The Bible deals with facts and it means what it says and says what it means. I go alone with facts and evidence and not men's assumptions! So why do you read them? By the way, and to set the record straight: Here in this forum, we encourage discussion over a wide range of positions. I am confident that some would say that some of the posts made by The Wanderer are useless. Regardless, we are delighted to have The Wanderer post here in this forum and for the contribution that he makes here, even if on occasion he does post a useless post.

If people are not allowed to question the activities of their God or religion, then IMHO that God or religion is being oppressive. I agree that Spectrum is "activist", but so is "BarelyAdventist". But shouldn't they (or us) be allowed to challenge some institutional standards?

God is transcendent of time. He knows our future because He's been there. That doesn't mean He chooses our future; He just knows it cuz He's seen it.

It is true that the prophecies pointed to a perfect offering. The Messiah would be perfectly obedient to God. Yes. But saying that He would not sin, is not the same as saying that He could not sin. It goes back to the argument about God's foreknowledge. If God sees the future, does He make the future. Does God manipulate the will of man, to make him do certain things? I do not believe that He does.

I read the article; and I got more out of the comments. I think implying that Doug is an idol is quite a stretch. It's a little less of a stretch to call EGW and idol; but it's still a stretch. I prefer Isaiah over EGW; but Isaiah is not my "idol". Just because I would prefer to see one preacher over another doesn't make the preferred preacher an idol any more than my preference to see the Foo Fighters over the Beach Boys makes the Foo Fighters my idol. An idol is something we worship - not something we simply enjoy or appreciate. I don't accept much of what Amazing Facts publishes; but I respect Doug as a sincere and decent human being. I must agree that giving EGW's writings equal footing with or precedence over the Bible is cultish and "wrong".
