    Disposable

We were created. God created us. He could just let us all die (or get rid of us). He could then create another creation. Right? That thought must have gone through the minds of all "created" beings. If HE created us, then HE can just get rid of us. We are disposable. The flood of Noah didn't help. It certainly appeared that God was disposing of humans who were a disappointment to HIM. How was God to let HIS creation know they are NOT DISPOSABLE. HE gave HIS Son - to suffer with them and then to die by torture. This was HIS "I love you" message. "I love you so much, I would die rather than loose you." You are NOT disposable.

    Herring and Schnapps

Old Moishe Rosenberg was relaxing at his hundredth birthday party when a reporter from the local Jewish newspaper who was on hand asked him, "Mr. Rosenberg, what is the secret to your long life?" Old Moishe Rosenberg replied, "Every evening at 9 p.m. I have some herring and a l’chaim of schnapps.” The reporter then asked, "Herring and schnapps? That's ALL?" Old Moishe Rosenberg smiled and added, "Well, canceling my ticket on the Titanic sure didn't hurt."

    The New Son-in-Law

Ira Mandelbaum was a very successful businessman who had a textile factory. After his daughter and son-in-law settled into married life he decided to call in his new son-in-law for a meeting. "I love my daughter, and now I welcome you into the family," Mandelbaum said. "To show you how much we care for you, I'm making you a 50-50 partner in my business. All you have to do is go to the factory every day and learn the operations." The son-in-law interrupted, "I hate factories. I can't stand the noise." "I see," replied Mr. Mandelbaum. "Well then, you'll work in the office and take charge of some of the operations." "I hate office work," said the son-on-law. "I can't stand being stuck behind a desk all day." "Wait a minute," said Mr. Mandelbaum. "I just make you half-owner of a moneymaking organization, but you don't like factories and won't work in an office. I was told you have a good head for business!" “I do,” said the young man. “Prove it,” said Mr. Mandelbaum. "I have a perfect solution for both of us," said the young man. "Buy me out!"

    Give it To Me

"Doctor!" said the woman as she loudly bounced into the office on Tel Aviv’s Hayarkon Street, "I want you to tell me what's wrong with me. Be straight with me." He surveyed the woman from head to toe. "Gveret [Miss],” he said, "I've got three things to tell you." "First, you need to lose at least twenty pounds. Second, you should use about half as much rouge and lipstick. And third, I'm an artist the doctor's office is next door."

    A Tough Customer

Mrs. Rosenbaum was known for being a difficult customer at the local grocery store. "Give me two pounds of oranges,” she asked the saleswoman, “But I need you to wrap every orange up in separate pieces of paper.” "And three pounds of cherries, and wrap up every one in a separate piece of paper, too." The saleswoman obliged. "And what is that over there?" Mrs. Rosenbaum asked pointing to a bushel in the corner. "Those are raisins," said the saleswoman, "but they are not for sale!"

    Leaving Chelm

Chaim Yankel decided it was time to look for a job outside of his home city of Chelm. He managed to get an interview, and when he came home his mother was waiting for him with interest. “Nu, how did it go, Chaim Yankel,” his mother asked. "Pretty good, I think," replied Chaim Yankel, "but if I go to work there I won't get a vacation until I'm married." Chaim Yankel’s mother had never heard of such a thing. "Is that what they told you?" "No," replied Chaim Yankel, "but right on the application it said 'vacation time may not be taken until you've had your First Anniversary.'"

    At the Creation

"Both" is TWO. I do not see a THIRD divine being here. Mrs White's writings - for 45 years, taught only God the Father and Jesus Christ "the Son of the Father". Her writings then changed (about 1893-4) - to include a "third person of the godhead". Some say she "grew in her understanding". Other's say she went beyond Scripture. I do know that her writings changed. There is no other way to put it. Folks who believe that God is THREE divine beings, quote from her later writings. Those who believe only in God our Father, and His Son, quote from her earlier writings. Which is just one reason why I prefer to stick with Scripture ONLY.
