    Is Jesus omnipresent?

I am posting to you personally, because you have made it personal. When you get personal Kevin H, and say things like "your mistake" , you are being DISMISSIVE. I do not appreciate it. Just state what you believe, and why you believe thus, and leave it at that. Who are you to say what God our Father, "should" or should not have done? I don't know WHY God wanted to create beings in His own image. He just did. I believe the Son of God - after creating beings in the image of His Father and Himself - then took on the form of the created being (as an "angel" - the Angel Michael) to represent His Father to created beings. He did this long before incarnating to become a man. Matthew 11:27 "no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him." You would think - if the Holy Spirit is a THIRD divine being, that "He" would also know the Son, and "He" would know the Father. 1 Corinthians 8:6 "yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things . ALL THINGS are from the Father - including His begotten Son. Ephesians 4:6 "one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all."

    Trump/Wilson Derangement Syndrome

Well said! I agree wholeheartedly. As Christians, we report to one King - the Lord Jesus Christ. Nonetheless, scripture commands us to respect our leaders. Trump is far from perfect (so am I); but he is doing his best to improve the condition of this country is spite of the insane opposition he faces at every front! look at the antics of the Democrats at the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings! They make Trump look like a docile kitten and the pillar of sanity.

    Trivia

5 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Uncle Sam On this day in 1813, the United States got its nickname, Uncle Sam. Here are 5 things you didn't know about the king of the pointy-finger Army posters, Uncle Sam... 1. The Name Came Before the Image. The name "Uncle Sam" got its start way back in 1813 when troops nicknamed meat supplies as "Uncle Sam" due to the initials "US" on the packaging. The "US" stood for "United States," but the man who ran the meatpacking business that created the supplies was named Sam Wilson, so "US" quickly took on a tongue-in-cheek meaning. The image of Uncle Sam as we know him, though, didn't take form until the mid-1800s, and the current image wasn't even created until about the time of the Civil War when cartoonist Thomas Nast based the likeness on that of Abraham Lincoln. 2. He Wasn't the First Illustrated Personification of the United States. Uncle Sam may be well-known now thanks to military recruitment posters, but he's not the first instance where someone tried to represent the United States with an illustration. Columbia, a female representation, was the original personification of the United States starting way back in Revolutionary times. She remained a well-known figure throughout the 1800s but gradually lost ground in the public eye to Uncle Sam. There was also Brother Jonathan, who had his origins way back in England but who became a co-representation of the country with Uncle Sam in the mid-1800s. 3. He May Represent Only the Government - Not the Country. If you're uncomfortable with throwing Columbia out of the picture, you're not alone; a common belief is that Uncle Sam really only represents the government of the U.S., while Columbia continues to represent the country as a whole. 4. He Was Originally Younger and Clean-Shaven. Before Thomas Nast took a turn illustrating Uncle Sam, the figure was younger and did not have a beard. In fact, he never had a beard until Nast -- also the man who created the modern, bearded representation of Santa Claus -- decided the figure should have some facial hair. 5. There May Be Two Modern Comic Book Connections. "Sam Wilson" is a pretty common name, but Marvel Comics may have decided to base its superhero character "the Falcon" on the meatpacker Sam Wilson. And in 2014, when the comics publisher decided to remove the character of Steve Rogers from the position of Captain America, guess who got the job? Yes -- the Falcon, or Sam Wilson, now personifying the country in a superhero capacity.

    Is Jesus omnipresent?

I'm not saying that I understand exactly HOW the Son of God was "begotten" . I believe it is plain that He existed before anything was created. I also believe that He was "the Son of God" before anything was created. I believe it very possible that ONE became TWO - that God divided Himself, - like cell division. As one being, God could not truly literally DIE while at the same time He continued to uphold all things. Not if He really DIED. There had to be TWO - of HIM. There had to be TWO, so that one could resurrect the other. Before God divided Himself - to become TWO separate beings (each with mind and will) - the being known as "the Son" did not yet exist as a separate being. You could say that He existed IN God, like Levi existed "in the loins of Abraham", but neither Levi nor The Son yet existed as separate beings from their "parent" of origin.

    Is Jesus omnipresent?

I do not see a problem with the Son of God being called "mighty God" or "everlasting Father". He is our God, but His Father is "His God". He said so, long after He returned to Heaven. As for "everlasting Father", the Son of God existed before time, therefore He is "from everlasting", or "from eternity". The Hebrew has no word grandfather. Every male ancestor was a "father". In our language today we could call God the Father - God our Grandfather. I do. I often pray to Him as such.

    Is Jesus omnipresent?

I believe Christ was warning His disciples against any secret coming, one which did not involve "every eye" seeing Him, in a cloud of glory.

    Robert Certain, USAF

I will suggest that the story of Robert Certain may be of interest and it may stimulate thought on the part of some. Others may see nothing in it. I will simply leave it to the individual as to how to react to it: It was December 19, 1972 and Robert Certain was the pilot in command of a B-52, flying his 100+ combat mission over Viet Nam, when the B-52 was shot out of the air. He survived the fall to the ground and was captured. He spent the next 101 days in the so-called Hanoi Hilton where he was a POW, until released to the U.S. authorities. By the way, he had married six weeks prior to being sent into combat. During the time that he spent as a POW, he began to evaluate his life and where he was headed. He came to the conclusion that God was calling him to enter ministry. As he completed his clinical recovery from his stay in Viet Nam, the Air Force informed him that he could have any job in the Air Force as long as he was medically fit for that position. So, he responded that he wanted to become an Air Force chaplain under the sponsorship of the Episcopal Church. So, while continuing on active duty in the Air Force, Robert Certain went to the Seminary to become qualified to become an Air Force chaplain. He became an Air Force chaplain in 1976. In 1999, after 30 years of service, he retired from the Air Force with the rank of Col. Following the attacks on September 11, 2001, he began to experience what we now call PTSD, and entered into treatment. As part of his therapy, he published the book: Unchained Eagle. That, along with the therapy allowed hin to break the cycle. In 2006, he led the memorial services for former President Gerald Ford. Today his lives in Texas with his wife of some 46 years. NOTE: Most of the information given above came from: Kristin Davis, "Faith Forged in Captivity," Military Officer, September 2018, pages 63 & 64.

As for me, I am not certain that I even understand it at this point in time.
