    Who's fooling who?

I've said this before and I'll say it again ... IMHO applying the "day for year" concept to all prophecy is a mistake. That concept only applies to the specific prophecies (judgements, actually) where it is mentioned. 1844 was just another year. Also, 1844 would NOT be the last time related prophecy (if it was indeed a time-related prophecy). I have posted previously a time prophecy which makes proper use of the Ezekiel's "day for year" prophecy that foretold the reestablishment of Israel as a nation in 1948. That actually did happen as prophesied. While that prophecy may not foretell the exact time of Jesus' return, it does indicate that the time of the end may be at hand.

    Variations in SDA Belief

As I think about this further, it sounds more like the reign of the antichrist rather than YHVH. The beast will force the world's people to give up their individuality and freedom and worship him so they can be clothed, housed and fed. They will essentially be giving up their free will. Those who refuse will be eliminated. Those who exercise their free will to be loyal to God will be rewarded with being able to make a free-will choice to worship and obey The Father and Son throughout eternity. Being in their presence will make it MUCH easier. Plus, when we are changed in the twinkling of an eye, one big thing that will change is our current genetic predisposal to sin. As new creatures, we will be genetically predisposed to NOT sin. We will still have the free will to do so; but it will be much more difficult to do so. Call me selfish, but why would I want to screw up a good thing by going against my new sanctified immortal nature by sinning? I've screwed up my life on this planet enough by sinning. Thank God for the grace and mercy of Jesus!

A/S, You have a very imaginative and creative mind, which appears to be heavily influenced by "Ancient Aliens" on the History Channel. I also enjoy the program; but I also really enjoyed "X-Files" and "Twilight Zone" too - as entertainment. I have also read a lot of Stephen Hawking and his theories on the feasibility of extraterrestrial beings from another star system or galaxy visiting earth. In our 4-dimensional universe, Hawking presents a quite convincing argument that that such a feat would be impossible given the known laws of physics. However, it could be possible that another dimension - invisible to our 4-dimensional sensory system - "overlays" our 4-dimensional universe. That would be the spiritual realm.
