LXA Genesis 18:8 And he took butter and milk, and the calf which he had dressed; and he set them before them, and they did eat, and he stood by them under the tree. (Gen 18:8 LXA) Abraham did not boil a "kid" in its mother's milk. He only served both meat and milk product at the same meal. The Talmud (Oral Torah) expanded the prohibition to include mixing any kosher meat with any kosher milk product, in cooking and also for consuming at the same meal, but these commands are not in the written Torah. This is from www.jccmb.com, the Jewish Community Center One of the important aspects of observing kosher is keeping milk and meat properly separated. This prohibition is derived from the verse, "Do not cook a kid in its mother's milk." This verse appears in the Torah three times, twice in Exodus (23:19 and 34:26) and once in Deuteronomy (14:21). According to Jewish tradition, According to Jewish tradition (Talmud Chullin 113b), the Hebrew word g'di (kid goat) is understood to mean any young domestic animal—not only a kid goat. The repetition of the verse teaches us that it is not only forbidden to cook meat and milk together, but it's also forbidden to then eat or derive benefit from the mixture. In fact, the [Oral] Torah forbids the cooking, eating and benefit of the meat of any kosher domesticated animal, in any kosher milk. The [Oral] Torah simply gives an example of a "kid in its mother's milk" because that was common practice in ancient times. Rachel added [Oral] for emphasis.

Christ told the Scribes and Pharisees Matthew 15:3 He answered them, "And why do you disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?" Matthew 15:6 "Thus by your tradition you make null and void the word of God!" Mark 7:9 He was also saying to them, "You nicely set aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition." Mark 7:13 "Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like this." Doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement of the Scribes and Pharisees interpretation of the Law. To me.

Oh boy! Just when you thought it couldn't get worse!

Susan Fodor Magaitis is a Seventh-day Adventist pastor who works for the North New South Wales Conference. She and her husband, Steve, are co-pastors at the Avondale Memorial Church located next door to Avondale College in Australia. Susan Fodor Magaitis was also commissioned as a pastor through the laying of hands during a ceremony presided over by Neil R. Thompson, Ministerial Association Director for the North New South Wales Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. When things couldn't be getting worse, we have this "pastor" writing literature that would usually get any male pastor fired immediately! The recurring theme of “Ghost Girl” from start to finish is an explicit, oral sex act or sex scene penned by the Seventh-day Adventist Youth Pastor in Australia, Susan Fodor Magaitis, not once but several times! This is equivalent to pornography. And even though Susan, the porn-writing theologian, tries to clean up the story by teaching important life lessons, it’s still depicting literary porn. http://adventmessenger.org/seventh-day-adventist-female-pastor-theologian-and-published-author-from-australia-peddles-dirty-novels-on-amazon/

The thing about the various rites in OT Temple services of the Levites, is that your point has often been argued about over the years. People can do any of those Temple rituals anytime they want; but I already gave scripture that says they wont be needed after Christs death; for His Sacrifice trumps all others. Not sure how anyone can deny this. Saying that we MUST still do those ritual sacraments of the Levites, is like denying the original promise of Gen 3:15, and saying that the Bible contradicts itself; and that adds up to a denial of the need for Christs Sacrifice. If people feel a need to do some of those, its their right, I suppose, but it will never again mean what it used to. Bible says "Christ died ONCE for all"; therefore, why would ANY other sacrifice be needed? Just to make ourselves look pious and "prove" we are "religious?"

There is a very good reason to interpret the "works of the law" in that way. The community that wrote the Dead Sea scrolls used the phrase "the works of the law" to refer to their community's man-made regulations that stipulated what a person needed to do to become and remain accepted as a member of the community. The context in which Paul also used the phrase "works of the law" is dealing with the requirements that Gentile believers were being pressured to comply with to become accepted as full members of the community of believers. Paul was advocating that Gentile believers should be accepted into the community because of the promises given to Abraham's descendants, of which Jesus is foremost, and the Gentile believer's position as a bondservant of Jesus, rather than on the basis of the traditional Jewish man-made requirements not found in Scripture.

It sounds more like you are posting some sort of mixed up behavioral analyses, rather than scriptural exegesis here. Scripture IS plain and clear that none of those sacrifices would be "valid" after Christ was crucified: "Once" means the opposite of all the oft-repeated "sacrifices" in the Temple that you speak of here, and its essential to put it into context: I would rather go with scripture, rather than anecdotal "rebuttals."

I kinda think that - no matter which Law one is referring to - once we have been justified by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, we are convicted on breaking the law; but not condemned - especially if we confess our transgression. Living in the Spirit rather than under the Law means following where the Spirit leads us in our path to being an imager of Christ. We will all mess up along the way; but if we keep our eyes on Christ and follow the Spirit's lead on the path to sanctification (trust and obedience), eternal life (free gift) will come with rewards for a job well done as well.

That's right! 144,000 + 1! Why should we be surprize, Enoch prophesied, Elijah also and their reward they were both translated to Heaven. The 24 elders and the other witnesses came up from the grave with YAHSHUA! The Tribunal Court in Heaven has a jury the 24 elders. Court has other to witness to the investigation trial. Flesh beings are on trial, all names are place in the Book of LIFE; YAHSHUA died for the whole world. Investigated Judgment is both those who are blotted out and those who remain in the Book of LIFE! That is why most do not understand Rev Chapter 6. The World Book of LIFE was open and the four horses represent different time and stages the earth went through because of flesh beings. From the Adams to those sealed during the Time of Trouble and those lost as well; sealed ones will remain in the Book, wicked will be blotted out! EGW grew during a time when YAHWEH truth had been covered up. Mysticism and paganism had clothes themselves into false worshipping YAHWEH by the Whore and her daughters the Protestant churches. The pioneers was dealing with so many lies, like souls do not actual died, how many CREATIVE BEINGS are there? Three, two, or tri (1/3 +1/3+1/3)=1 is a trinity; HOLY SPIRIT: is it A BEING, a ghost, THE FATHER suppose spirit or YAHSHUA suppose spirit or could HE BE A BEING too? The lunar solar Calendar or Gregorian Catholic calendar (we used today), YAHWEH'S Holy days (they are called Holy Convocation and not feast days), vs Satan unholy days both are set times ( these are feast days: Christmas, Easter, New Year, Valentine, Whitsunday or Pentecost, Halloween, and many saint days)' the Sabbath vs Sunday, the Commandments are they just 10 are they more, eating animal flesh, what is a swine? Other health laws. There were so many things that had to be understood and it took courage during the time of the worst type of slavery on the earth! Chattel slavery to Afrikan people base on the color of their skin. Do you think this was easy it was not! None of them understood everything, they studied and they lived up to all they knew at the time. If EGW did not have the visions that she did, the rocks would have cried out the truth! Did the SDA reject the path YAHWEH was slowly leading them on, yes in 1888! But, HIS WORD will not come back to HIM VOID! Truth will conquer against darkness! I do not ask anyone to believe me, read the history of the church and history period. Ask why did they keep the Day of Atonement; one of YAHWEH'S Holy Convocation Days, to discover the Investigated Judgment! People of all kind sometime do not want to hear the truth, the whole truth! Choices have to be made! True deep studies have to been done! Prejudices have to be eradicated (please do not mix it up with racism even though it is under its umbrella)! You have to check out what and why do you believe the way you do! If you hold on to it without checking it out thoroughly-that's prejudice or biasness! We need to stop putting people down until you know the history completely about their lives and not myths or fairy tales. We all elevate who we want and put down who we dislike! We need to check out their lives and see if they lie. A liar cannot bear at all good fruit! We all have sin but their are those who continually sin and brings others down with them! They will lie and do evil things to others, they have no justice, they are selfish, and so much more! Finally, I stated the above because so many have told many untruth about EGW. Both in and out of the SDA Church. She was a messenger, who believed; she did not understand everything, but lived up to all that she knew. She made mistakes base on what she believed in the Methodist church to be true and it wasn't. She said when you see that she or the pioneers believed in something that was in error ( just like they find some things they use to believe was in error), she said to correct it base on the Bible and not on what we say! She wrote Testimony to the Ministers p. 105-119 because of that feeling. Thank you Sister White and praise always to THE MOST HIGH! Truth will be reveal, so YAHSHUA can come! Blessings!

Matthew 23:2 saying, "The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses;" They might have been sitting in positions of authority over the people. Didn't make them righteous, or good teachers of the Law - or even accurate teachers of the Law. Many descendants of King David ruled over Israel. A few were righteous and ruled wisely. Most were not, and did not. Jesus did not teach people to rebel against the ruling authorities (whether Babylonian, Roman, or Jewish), except where those authorities compelled them to violate God's Law, or to renounce Christ as LORD.

    Trivia

5 Things You Didn't Know About Martha Stewart_2 On October 8, 2004, Martha Stewart reported to prison to begin serving a sentence for lying about a stock sale. Here are 5 fascinating facts you may be surprised to learn about everyone's favorite lifestyle guru... Stewart Used to Be a Stockbroker. Occasionally a picture from Stewart's modeling days shows up on this or that website, so many know that she used to be a model. Fewer people realize, however, that she was also a stockbroker in the 1960s. She was successful and had some unorthodox strategies, including wearing hot pants occasionally in meetings. She worked in stocks for six years before leaving for family reasons. As a Child, She Babysat for Some Legendary Baseball Players Martha Stewart grew up in New Jersey and worked as a babysitter occasionally when she was ten. She babysat for the children of Mickey Mantle, Gil McDougald, and Yogi Berra, all of whom were ballplayers for the New York Yankees. Mantle and his wife had four little boys, and Stewart not only babysat them but helped to organize their birthday parties. Her House Arrest Was Extended Because of a Yoga Class and an Off-Road Vehicle. Those five months of house arrest became five months and three weeks. Stewart was supposed to remain in her house for five months except for 48 hours each week, in which she was allowed to go to work, go to doctor's appointments, and take care of a couple of other basic tasks. Forty-eight hours per week is just under seven hours each day. Yet Stewart didn't do that well at obeying the restrictions. Not only did she attend a yoga session (not one of the approved activities), she also rode an off-road vehicle around her property. She Tried to Trademark the Name of a Real Town. If you've seen Martha Stewart brand products that use the name "Katonah," you're seeing the result of a compromise forged out of a trademark dispute. Stewart wanted to trademark the name for several lines of products, but the actual community of Katonah, New York, and especially all its businesses with "Katonah" in their names, were upset at the idea of their town's name being hijacked. Even more upset was the Ramapough Lenape Indian Nation, as Katonah was named after a chief. Eventually, the town and Stewart reached a compromise in which she can use the name for specific but limited types of products. She's America's First Self-Made Female Billionaire. On the day her company, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, launched its initial public offering in 2000, the stock tripled in value before closing, and Martha Stewart not only became an instant billionaire, but America's first self-made female billionaire.

You know which two texts this is based off of & prior to saying that it doesn't apply or that the Jews got it wrong I'll remind you it was Christ who said that the Scribes and Pharisees interpretation of the Law was valid up until the point all power was transferred to the Church.

Florida Hospital church at it again ...

I believe that sometime ago I posted an article regarding the children's Christmas program at the Florida Hospital church. Seems they have outdone themselves. Their latest program involvement the story of Daniel and his companions. The program featured a band call "Danny and the Shacks." Seems the leader of this event was the children's pastor Vivian Cook. In the Bible, Daniel refused to contaminate himself with the king’s meat. But at Florida Hospital Seventh-day Adventist Church there is no need to reject the king’s meat. It was announced by female children’s Pastor Vivian Cook at the end of the performance that “a lot of Chick-fil-A” (chicken) and “ice-cream” would be made available for both the kids and parents (video minute 53:52). This is just another mockery of the biblical account of the Prophet Daniel. (You can see this event in the video Facebook link) Female Seventh-day Adventist Pastor Vivian Cook was the “director” for this entire project. She is a children’s pastor who works for Florida Hospital Seventh-day Adventist Church. http://adventmessenger.org/florida-adventist-hospital-church-makes-a-mockery-of-the-bible-during-their-childrens-program/ This article reminds me of one of the pictures you find in the comic sections of the newspapers. How many wrong things can you spot in this picture? If the founders of the church were still alive, how sad they would be. This is all done in the conference that denied Doug Batchelor speaking in one of their churches.

Oh boy! Just when you thought it couldn't get worse!

I have obtained a somewhat public e-mail address for Susan Magitias and I have sent her an e-mail requesting more information about her published work. I had hoped to obtain a more private e-mail address, but, I was unable to do so. As there is a 17 hour difference in time, The time where she is located in later than 10:30 at night, and it is likely that she will not read my e-mail for some time. As I did with the Conference representative, I have invited her to come here and read this thread and to directly post her response, if she would like to do so.

Oh boy! Just when you thought it couldn't get worse!

I have received a response from the elected Conference official, to my request for permission to post his response to me in this forum. He has explained he is free to respond to an individual request for information, as he did to me. However, administratively if the request involved publication in any manner, to include the Internet, that response must go through a more formal process of approval, as it will be seen as an official statement of a Conference position. So, on that basis, he has asked that I do not post his response to me, which I will respect. He has stated that I may state in my words, without a direct quotation, the essence of what he said in responding to me. I may do that in a later post, as I have done in this post. He also suggested that I contact Susan Magitias directly and stated that she would welcome my doing so. I responded that I would do so, if he would give me an e-mail contact for her. He also informed me that the Conference is very busy in preparing for a Consitutancy (sp) Meeting in 2-weeks. From that perspective, I do not believe that it is likely that I will be able to obtain, in the near future, an official statement from the Conference in regard to what Susan has written. The bottom line: I will continue to work on this issue and I will keep you informed as to my progress. My next step will be to contact Susan directly, if I can obtain her e-mail address. Again, remember the 17 hour time difference. As it is the Sabbath in Australia, some may not read their e-mail until after teh weekend.
