IMHO, it's because the 7th Millennium is spent here on earth governing the remnant of nations that survive the wrath of God. I know we don't agree on that; and that's okay.

Stop it ! You two are ruining this discussion. This pattern of attacking each other is why I left this forum for almost a year.

I'm still thinking about OT passages that point to Messiah as priest, as well as king. The prophecy of Zechariah Cpt 4 is one. The anointing of priest, and the anointing of king are combined in the one golden bowl, which is then the conduit for the Spirit to the churches. I believe this prophecy is about Christ and what He would be. If the prophecies were so easily "seen", the majority of Israelites would not have "missed" half of them. Sooooo very often, it is only when the prophecy is fulfilled, that we can "see" the prophecy clearly. Even Paul had to isolate himself, to study back through the OT, to confirm what He had experienced on the Damascus Road - that Jesus was indeed the long awaited Messiah, and had fulfilled the prophecies. He needed that study to strengthen his arguments with devout Israelites (who knew their OT).

Those who were presented with the Gospel of Jesus as Messiah, and rejected that message - refusing to seek actual atonement through Jesus Christ, were/are "cut off". They will NOT inherit the promises given to Abraham - either of land or priesthood, or admittance to "the City whose builder and maker is God". One is attached to the Olive Tree (Israel) because of belief, and is "broken off" "because of unbelief" (Romans 11:20). If every DNA descendant of Abraham thru Jacob is/was an heir "due to being physical descendants" then Paul would not have described them as "broken off". Paul also said that God was able to "graft them in again". Romans 11:23 "And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again." When Paul wrote this verse, DNA descendants who had rejected belief in Jesus as the Christ, were NOT ATTACHED to the Olive Tree. Hence they were not regarded as Israelites in the eyes of God, so far as the promises were concerned. It's about faith in Jesus Christ as "the only way" to God the Father. It's not about DNA. Jews could be "broken off for unbelief" and non-Hebrews could be "grafted in" for belief.

I think that Gal 3:29 in context here is saying that NOT all physical descendants will belong to Christ, and that when the gospel went to "the Gentiles," they were included, but I think scripture has plenty of evidence to show not all physical descendents of Abraham would be "saved" or "belong to Christ."
