That is funny right there! But let's not give Donald Trump any credit because the country seems to be doing very well at the moment even though his sins are being cataloged religiously here!1 point -

5 Fun Facts About The Traffic Light On November 20, 1923, the U.S. Patent Office granted a patent to Garrett Morgan for his three-position traffic signal. Here are 5 facts you probably didn't know about the traffic light... Traffic Lights Were Invented by a Former Detective Lester Wire was a Salt Lake City detective who conceived the idea of electronically controlled traffic lights in 1912. At the time, patrolmen were required to direct the traffic at a busy intersection, so he used a wooden box with green and red lights on all sides, mounted it on a pole and wired it to the electric lines used for trolley cars. A patrolman was still needed because it was operated manually, but the officer could sit comfortably in a booth and out of the weather to direct traffic. Cleveland Boasted the First Traffic Light in the Country The first four-way signal was placed at the busy intersection of East 105th and Euclid Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 5, 1914. It was controlled by a police officer from a booth, the same as those invented by Lester Wire. Although the first electric traffic signal had red and green lights only, it was the first use of a modern signal. The Yellow Light Didn't Exist Until The 1920s It was obvious fairly early on that having only green and red lights on a traffic signal might be a problem because drivers had no warning when to slow down except for a buzzer or warning whistle, and the traffic signals caused a lot of collisions. By 1920, William Potts, a police officer in Detroit, had added a yellow signal light to warn motorists that the light was about to change. Although Officer Potts used it, the patent for this invention was credited to Garrett Morgan in 1923. Morgan ended up selling his patent to General Electric. One of the Oldest Traffic Lights Is Still in Use Ashville, Ohio, is home to the oldest traffic light that is still operational. It looks less like a traffic light and more like a spaceship with its oval shape, metal finish and one light in the middle like a giant eye, but it was installed in 1932. Amazingly, it has been in operation for more than 80 years. Railroad Lights Were the Inspiration for the Colors Used The traffic light was modeled after the signals used on railroad tracks and crossings. There's little evidence as to why the colors red and green were chosen to represent "stop" and "go." But science has validated the decision: because red light has a longer wavelength than green, it can be seen from farther away. The sooner you see the light, the sooner you hit the brakes.1 point -

Yes - and presumably if on the other hand, we are the ones who have been wrong all along about the Sabbath, the Mark of the Beast, the Investigative Judgement, the scapegoat, the sanctuary, and "unclean" foods, we'll gladly accept His teaching.1 point -

Rachel: The firstfruit is the best of the harvest. The reason why I know because my mother was a an old farmer. She goes by the original calendar lunar/solar find in Gen 1:14. The old farmer use to use a pamphlet called the Farmer's Almanac! You see YAHWEH uses the moon which where the meaning month comes from. After the flood is when seasons actually begin. Gen 8:22 The first fruit was very important, which included the first born who would become the High priest of the family. It all pointed to YAHSHUA and it represented the best! Deut 18:4; Rom 11:16 Finally, THE MESSIAH is the FIRSTFRUIT of those who are asleep and will rise again! 1Co15:20 My point all throughout the Bible is speaks clearly about the firstfruit. The best of the best. Blessings!1 point -

I went thru a number of Adventist forums reading up on the Shelton affair (no, no, the whole mess!). It was a good example why you stay out of other peoples business and don't try to sort out their sins. You can listen to one side and then the other and you will see completely different stories. Talk shows such as Dr Laura who take calls from upset spouses and give out advice are not doing a responsible action as they never heard from the other side. (Dr Laura does seem to pick out the ones who are lying well.) But unless you are a trained counselor and have both parties in front of you, best stay out of it. This even includes politicians on the national stage. You cannot know the whole story. If you cannot know the whole story and pass on incomplete information you have, you seriously are guilty of a falsehood for passing along an incomplete truth. I can even tell you of a couple who went to an Adventist preacher for marital counseling, the couple divorced, and the wife married the pastor! Not touching that one either! Moral of the story is, for the majority of the church, it is little different from the world. People are largely SINO (SDAs In Name Only). The tongue gets very bad reviews in the scripture. It is even called "loshan hara" (bad tongue). https://torah.org/learning/halashon-review1/1 point -

The Central California Conference has failed to elect a President. https://conversation.spectrummagazine.org/t/central-california-conference-constituency-meeting-ends-without-the-election-of-a-president/19382 What this means is only speculative. However, it is a clear indication that our members are involved.1 point -

I agree and the Bible makes it clear that THE HOLY SPIRIT will be doing the sealing of the 144,000 the remnant. The scene in Revelation start to shows the Time of Trouble, but in Chapter 7 an angel from the east swiftly flies and tells the four angels to not let the events begin until the remnant are seal first. So they are seal before the Time of Trouble. Dan 12:3; Matt 25:9; Eph 1:13; Rev 6:14-17; 7:1-3; 12:7; 14:4, 14, 15 (This Verse proves that YAHSHUA has not returned. All of HIS angels will return with HIM! This whole Chapter deals with the 144,000 receiving their reward for the work they've done.) These remnant during the Time of Trouble, having THE SPIRIT of Elijah; when he did YAHWEH'S warning of Wrath on IsraEL. The remnant will have power from on HIGH to do exactly the same thing and more. It is the Wrath of THE LAMB! Rev 6:16; 11:5, 6 THE WRATH of YAHWEH is the 7 last plagues and then during the sixth plagues YAHSHUA is coming by the 7th, the earth is in turmoil and YAHSHUA has come. Rev 11:13-15; 16:15, 17-21. Then for a thousand years the saints will be in the city to judge the wicked. 1Co 6:2; Rev 20:4 Finally, the 2nd time the saints will come back with YAHSHUA to execute judgment on the wicked after the thousands years! Jude 1:14; Rev 20:3, 5-7 When the 144,000 are sealed they would have stopped sinning to be sealed by THE HOLY SPIRIT! Their work is to reap the harvest of souls that will come out of the Time of Trouble. Dan 12:3; Rev 7:9-15; 9:4 They will do the final work that THE HOLY SPIRIT had Elijah to do! Praise FATHER, THE SON and THE HOLY SPIRIT FOREVER MORE! Blessings!1 point -

sometimes I think the Adventist church couldn't survive without some sort of drama going on... We could have some sort of reality TV show, on the same level as "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" or "Dancing with the Stars." We could name it, "Rubbernecking with the Remnant" .....1 point -

well, thats what I mean. Kevin & B/W have not "sinned" and saying they did makes a mockery out of your "concern" about DT You seem to be confusing the issues here; and every time you carry on about it, you just get further from the right sin, and matching it to the right name. Know what I mean?1 point -

When we say things such as "people like you..." it is generally considered a stigma and personal insult. At least, in North America. Theres nothing wrong with calling sin by its right name, but one has to have the right sin with the right name. I dont think you have to worry about this half as much as you are. Mat_7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Mat_7:4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Mat_7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Luk_6:41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Luk_6:42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.1 point -

You can believe what you want; I have no reason to believe she was Mary Magdalene. I have no reason to believe her name was even Mary. There are many "Marys" or "Miriams" in the NT. Your belief on who the prostitute was proves nothing.0 points
