Pope Francis 2020 plan is to rally Nations behind Climate change and Sunday law
phkrause and one other reacted to B/W Photodude for a topic
I have read several times here that Sunday laws will not happen and no conflict over the day of worship will occur. We may wish to revisit those statements! Pope Francis 2020 plan is to rally Nations behind Climate change and Sunday law Laudato Si’, is the Pope’s encyclical on climate change, there he offers some suggestions on how to combat climate change, including reducing carbon emissions, carpooling, planting trees and recycling. “These are not bad suggestions, but in the encyclical, Pope Francis also suggests Sundays with keeping a better environment. The implication here is that we need to have a law mandating rest on Sunday, so it appears that his agenda on climate change includes giving Sunday rest and worship mandated by law to improve the environment. https://adventinformer.org/en/bible-study/sunday-worship/pope-francis-2020-plan-is-to-rally-nations-behind-climate-change-and-sunday-law/2 points -

Paganism is Being Enforced by the State in Canada
phkrause and one other reacted to B/W Photodude for a topic
I think our sticks have a different color. There was a Catholic couple one time who came to our church and was even taking Bible studies and considering joining. But one of the sisters who liked to lead off with the bit about the mark of the beast and Rome spoke out. The elder noted that the color drained out of the Catholic couples faces and they never came back. People can go on about the mark of the beast, but very rarely does anyone talk about the mark of God. Misuse of prophecy really concerns me especially when they started heaping it up on visitors or even each other with our personal brand of understanding. Prophecy will save no one, but if the devil can dance you all around the cross keeping your eyes on prophecy so you don't see Jesus, he has done his job.2 points -

and THAT makes total sense to me. Canada has a serious problem in that area. Its why I said in the other topic related to this that Canada has never really had any separation of church & state. History shows this clearly. The other thing that it shows clearly are the harmful, and malicious ways & means that we keep calling "evangelism. And I am not trying to single out a particular church here, but THE RCs have done an enormous amount of damage to society in general with "evangelism," and what really bothers me is that they are intensifying and doubling down on these very same things that history shows regarding how to "evangelize" all of those "savages." I am well aware of all the apologetics that reflect on how "Protestants do it too," but that idea no longer answers any questions of any significant points at all. "Apologies" and "letting" people do their smudging, when the whole time they are waiting to whack them with the evangelism stick just has a really nasty flavor to it. IMO the Elder Andy guy contributes to that. I like the points you made. Didnt mean to flip my wig, but it did rekindle an old flame of "righteous indignation" or whatever one wishes to call it.2 points -

In my Sabbath school class, people slip into trashing other religions all the time. I am uneasy with it. ln our church, no one from the community has been baptised into the church in many years. A person may visit once in awhile, but they seldom come back. It doesn't seem to help to remind people that there are serious problems in our own church to fix before we fix others. Something like that "mote and beams" in the eyes! I tend to think that those who will be saved by God into His kingdom are being kept safe in other churches until the time of the end as they may not make it if they come to our church. Truly sad.2 points -

What I was trying to show here was not the "indigenous people" smudging the students. I was looking more to how government through teachers are working to indoctrinate children in such a way as to destroy their Christian heritege. Be it the smudging in Canada, forcing children in the USA to study Islam and write papers xpressing desires to be a muslim. This even goes even farther when schoold are making children write letters as if to a gay lover and they are even starting to teach sodomy to third graders. It is one thing with a different religious group talks about their religion, but when they attempt to draw the children into the practices, it is wrong. If Christianity is banned from schools, then so should every other religion.2 points -

Correct me if Im wrong but isnt this one of their tactics, towards ecumenical relationships? I share the concerns about doing this kind of things, but more specifically my concern is in the narrative surrounding the Catholic Church and their history re Canadian Indigenous Peoples. Seems to be that "Rome" has used this tactic before with various people groups? lol I don't go to that church militant site for info. Disclaimer: none of this is directed at B/W in any way. I think I know why he posted this, and I know he is not anything like what I am about to say. OK, well, this dude, Elder Andy Roman, who authored this article is a malicious internet "evangelist, presenting us with Loser Theology, festooned with bitter stabs at people that he likely has never met, nor knows anything about. I am stepping out on a limb a bit here in saying that, but I took my time and looked into this guy and I found some really disturbing things. Its important to first realize Elder Handy Andy is not a Seventh-day Adventist, even though he and his website sport about much gibbering regarding "Adventist" beliefs. He has started up his own off-shoot group of like-minded "soup for brains mantra", calling themselves The Eternal Gospel Church," formed in 1992 By "Seventh-Day Adventist Believers," which is really just a long-winded title used to legally separate themselves from other Seventh Day Adventists. Andy Roman has a history of taunting the public with Satan's Billboards and he has had brushes with legal proceedings for doing so. And as if all this was not disturbing enough, Handy Andy seems to prefer calling everyone who doesn't believe as he and his cronies prefer, "witches" or "pagan" and with his special Jesus talk, he likely convinces some of his wanton lip-smacking emotives claiming "cooperation and dialogue" is "of the devil," and thus the smear of "hurrah/boo theory;" once more plagues sincere Christians and others who are his intended victims. Deut 32:17 seems to be one of his favorites: In case you have not figured it out, I am really upset at someone calling Canada's Indigenous Peoples "paganism," and the like. Here is part of what he said in the article cited in the OP: It is just so wrong on so many levels to write off the entire race of Canadian Indigenous Peoples as "pagan" and then comparing them to the people in the Bible that made "a golden calf in the wilderness." The first of many questions I would have for Handy Andy is just how on earth does he think he would ever be able to preach "the everlasting gospel" to anyone, after publicly, and rather forcefully talking about them the way he did? He showed a bunch of mumbo-jumbo from other countries as "proof" of whats "really" going on here in Canada. I have lived with Indigenous people several times during my life. Once was for personal reasons, the other two were for work-related reasons. I know for a fact that Canada's Indigenous Peoples do not fit his Gnostic Expressivism that he calls "the gospel." Ill post more on this in the other topic that I started about history & sociology of church in Canada. All I can say now is a question: Are we, The Adventist Church, or any other church, morally defensible when we publicly stigmatize, and disparage, an entire race because of what we think they believe? Is it morally defensible for any of us to "defend" truth by drumming up kniving quotes from Ellen G White to "prove" how deranged and irreligious another, entire race "really is?" Projecting a very prejudiced racism like this is no way to share the gospel with anyone. Perhaps this is what we should be more worried about?2 points -

Many different "other" religions are now being used that results in Christian children being forced to participate in non-Christian religious practices. Stangely enough, it even includes kids being forced to participate in Islam in American schools where Christian practices are outlawed. Paganism is Being Enforced by the State in Canada, Thanks to Rome A Canadian court has just ruled that all public school children, including Christians, can be forced to participate in pagan mother earth worship ceremonies. British Columbia’s top court has just determined that “smudging ceremonies,” an ancient ritual that cleanses your body and spirit from negative energy, are not religious but “cultural.” Public schools will be allowed to continue bringing Shamans (witch doctors and spirit mediums) into their classrooms to burn sage and cleanse the “spirits” of their students. http://adventmessenger.org/paganism-is-being-enforced-by-the-state-in-canada-thanks-to-rome/1 point -

Myth No. 4: Last Generation Theology teaches that God’s requirements are inconsistent. Myth No. 5: Last Generation Theology is primarily the product of the teachings of A.T. Jones, E.J. I'd say it always is a top down situation. I'd say its less of an exposure thing and more of a reminder thing. Even the ones in charge can get a little over zealous in their activities (sometimes that's ecumenicism). I seem to remember even an Apostle being called out for being a little over zealous in that area. You're definitely right about the danger of playing the role of "the elder brother" who did everything right, we're in as bad of shape as the next person, we just naturally think others sins are worse than our own.1 point -

That's a relief! ?? I do not know Andy. I see his Facebook timeline sometimes. But I never really saw him as malicious. There is a certain advantage to be an independent group. When you are independent with a lot of members you have better control of yur own church. If you agree to have a pastor from the conference, what then follows is you sign over deeds to your church to be kept in trust. The downside to this is the conference can come in anytime they feel you are not behaving in the way the conference deems appropriate and shut you down and lock up your church. This has happened. The other thing is the conference will say who can and cannot preach in your church. when Doug Batchelor andStephen Bohr are banned from preaching in an SDA church there is a serious problem. Don't think the term "pagan" is all that bad. I would rather be called pagan than wicked! There is a difference. People are not all aware that the church is filled with a lot of wicked members!1 point -

Im familiar with that web site. It sounds to me like this guy has also, likely visited "LifeSite News." They have a lot of similar stuff there, purportedly by "Catholic Laymembers. I think it was the church militant site that has tried to associate Indigenous People with "paganism." But even on official Vatican sites, as well as The UN web site has stuff about Catholics participating in this kind of "ecumenical" "outreach," so called. It IS coming from the top on down. You know, this is a very good question. BUT what exactly do they "need" to be "exposed" to, and HOW should we "expose" them? What I have bolded in red is something I will come back to. What I will say, for now is that as Christians, we like to think that we KNOW for sure what everyone else needs, whether we are talking about denominations, political or secular people, almost anyone but us. Most of us don't even know or care what we need, we prefer to just direct it at others. For eg, we say "everybody needs Jesus," and then we go charging full-tilt at our intended targets, with everything but. And then we have the gall to call it "evangelism." Know what I mean? Apparently, people who make it to heaven are described thus:1 point -

5 Things You Probably Didn't Know About "All in the Family" On January 12, 1971, the sitcom "All in the Family" premiered on CBS. Here are 5 fascinating tidbits you might not have known about this groundbreaking show... Norman Lear Based Archie Bunker on His Dad In part, Norman Lear patterned Archie, the bigoted, angry father in the family, on his own father. Archie was also based in part on a similar character that appeared on the British show called “Till Death Do Us Part.” According to Lear, his father Herman called his wife names such as “dingbat” and frequently called his son “Meathead.” Lear said his father called him the “laziest and dumbest white kid I ever knew” and was narrow-minded and a racist just like the television character Archie Bunker. The Show Originally Posted a Mature Audience Warning Because the sitcom portrayed Archie Bunker as a loud-mouthed, prejudiced man who was vocal about his views, CBS expected a real backlash from the show’s viewers. CBS even went so far as to issue a disclaimer, saying that the show intended to make human frailties, concerns and prejudices amusing to show how absurd they were. The network also elected to hire additional phone operators to handle the expected angry phone calls, but the majority of viewers seemed to understand perfectly well what was going on. The Mail and Calls About the Show Came as a Surprise There were many letters and phone calls about the show sent to CBS. Most of those questions, however, were about the theme song instead of complaints about Archie. This is because viewers couldn’t understand the last line in the opening theme song, “Gee, our old LaSalle ran great.” It was bothersome enough that Carroll O’Connor and Jean Stapleton recorded the opening theme again for season three, singing the lyrics more clearly. It Was Difficult to Sell the Show to a Network It took a while for the sitcom to be picked up by a television network. In the original pilot, the show was named “Justice for All,” and Carroll O’Connor’s name was Archie Justice with different actors playing the parts of daughter Gloria and her husband (Meathead). Producers of the show tried to interest the ABC network in the program, going so far as changing the name of the show, shooting a new pilot, and recasting some of the roles, but the network showed no interest in it. It wasn’t until CBS was approached that the sitcom was picked up and aired. The Series Had More Spin-Offs Than Any Other TV sitcom All In The Family was the origin of seven spin-offs, directly or indirectly. Maude with Bea Arthur as Edith’s cousin was first in 1972. Next came The Jeffersons, with Sherman Hemsley and Isabel Sanford as Bunker neighbors who “move on up to the East Side” of Manhattan. Next was the short-lived Gloria in 1982, with Struthers raising Joey after divorcing Mike. Then came 97 episodes of Archie Bunker’s Place. And finally, 704 Hauser brought us back to the Bunker house with a new family living there in 1994. If you include spin-offs of spin-offs like Good Times (from Maude) and Checking In (from The Jeffersons), “The Bunkerverse” includes more than 860 episodes.1 point -

Living Water to be Shared (Tulip: "a Gift to be shared") As the plan of redemption begins and ends with a gift, so it is to be carried forward. The same spirit of sacrifice which purchased salvation for us will dwell in the hearts of all who become partakers of the heavenly gift. Says the apostle Peter: "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God" (1 Pet 4:10). Said Jesus to His disciples as He sent them forth, "Freely ye have received, freely give" (Mat 10:8). In him who is fully in sympathy with Christ, there can be nothing selfish or exclusive. He who drinks of the living water will find that it is "in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." The Spirit of Christ within him is like a spring welling up in the desert, flowing to refresh all, and making those who are ready to perish eager to drink of the water of life. It was the same spirit of love and self-sacrifice which dwelt in Christ that impelled the apostle Paul to his manifold labors. "I am debtor," he says, "both to the Greeks, and to the barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise" (Rom 1:14). "Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ" (Eph 3:8). Our Lord designed that His church should reflect to the world the fullness and sufficiency that we find in Him. We are constantly receiving of God's bounty, and by imparting of the same we are to represent to the world the love and beneficence of Christ. While all heaven is astir, dispatching messengers to all parts of the earth to carry forward the work of redemption, the church of the living God are also to be co-laborers with Jesus Christ. We are members of His mystical body. He is the Head, controlling all the members of the body. Jesus Himself, in His infinite mercy, is working on human hearts, effecting spiritual transformations so amazing that angels look on with astonishment and joy.--Review and Herald, Dec. 24, 1908.1 point -

In the early hours of the Sabbath, I have been reflecting on the posts that HCH has made: * HCH uses a method of understanding the Bible that can be called "presentism," [NOTE: You can look the word up . It is defined on the Internet.] This is a method of understanding the Bible that has a long history. * In early times Gnostics used this method to tell us that the baptism of Jesus at his age of 30 tells us that in Heaven, there are 30 Gods. * In more recent times, this method of Biblical understanding laid the foundation for the book: "88 Reasons the Rapture will Be In 1988." [NOTE: You can find this book listed on the Internet.] This book sold some 4,500,000 copies and an additional 300,000 copies were given away free. * That book was followed by one that acknowledged an error in counting the time and that the actual date would occur in 1989. * It should be noted that the above books did not predict the day and hour of the Rapture. Rather they only predicted the actual 7-day week of the Rapture. * NOTE: It might be of interest to give thought as to why the book that HCH has written has not sold millions of copies. I will suggest an answer. To sell that many, HCH may need to distribute free of all charges some 300,000 plus copies. The free distribution of the book that I mentioned is clearly related to the ultimate sales of that book. * Well, just my thoughts as I begin my thinking on this Sabbath day.1 point -

I like to look at it as "entering" the Kingdom vs. "inheriting" the Kingdom. Anyone who believes can enter the Kingdom; just like all a person has to do to enter the US or Canada simply has to cross the border. Inheriting the Kingdom IMHO implies leadership; and takes personal effort (with the HS and grace) to complete the "training for leadership. I see the difference kinda like the difference between the 144,000 and the innumerable masses.1 point -

They didn't finish the story!: There was a Christian lady who lived next door to an atheist. Everyday, when the lady prayed, the atheist guy could hear her. He thought to himself, "She sure is crazy, praying all the time like that. Doesn't she know there isn't a God?" Many times while she was praying, he would go to her house and harass her, saying "Lady, why do you pray all the time? Don't you know there is no God?" But she kept on praying. One day, she ran out of groceries. As usual, she was praying to the Lord explaining her situation and thanking Him for what He was gonna do. AS USUAL, the atheist heard her praying and thought to himself. "Hmph . . .I'll fix her." He went to the grocery store, bought a whole bunch of groceries, took them to her house, dropped them off on the front porch, rang the door bell and then hid in the bushes to see what she would do. When she opened the door and saw the groceries, she began to praise the Lord with all her heart, jumping, singing and shoutin' everywhere! The atheist then jumped out of the bushes and told her, "You ol'crazy lady, God didn't buy you those groceries, I bought those groceries!" Well, she broke out and started running down the street, shouting and praising the Lord. When he finally caught her, he asked what her problem was . . . She said, "I knew the Lord would provide me with some groceries, but I didn't know he was gonna make the devil pay for them!"1 point -
Prophecy and the Coming Earthquake

But I ask is what he is saying is it according to the Bible? He is correct that YAHSHUA stated exactly what Daniel said in Dan 12:1! But, no one looks in Rev 6:12-17, that showed what almost happened and it was stopped in Rev 7:1! It states some important things; The 12, and 13 was a dual prophecy! There will another great earthquake; and the sun will become black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon will become as blood; And the stars of heaven will fall again on the earth. 1. The heaven departed, 2. Mountain and island were moving out of their places. 3. The kings of the earth, great men, rich men, chief captains, mighty men, bondmen, and free man. They all hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; telling the mountains and rocks, to fall on us, and hide us. From what? 4. THE WRATH OF THE LAMB and THE FACE OF THE FATHER sitting on the Throne. This was the Seven Trumpet about to blow, in the Sixth Seal but was stopped in Rev 7:1 from an angel flying swiftly from the East; telling the four angels that was holding the four corners of the earth. They were about to release the Time of Trouble mention in both Daniel and Matthew, the five wise virgins known as the 144,000 had to be sealed first and THE WRATH OF THE LAMB which is The Time of Trouble was to happen to the wicked. However, the angels of Satan were being release from prison and heading to do damage and YAHWEH, THE FATHER told them they could not even touch the great multitude, nor could they killed the wicked only torture them, and they wanted to died. Rev 9:1-6 Now, Mat 24:24 if you read the Greek christ and prophet are not plural. Here is the proof Mat 24:11 gives you the word many where the other Verse does not! The lamb like beast is the false prophet and the papacy or the whore is in control at this time. Both will show signs and wonder. I would suggest you read Strong Dictionary A false Christ (or Messiah) (one who falsely lays claim to the name and office of the Messiah): Thayer's Greek Lexicon That is the papacy, but this NOT THE BEAST! He will come when the papacy will fail, but the false prophet-the lamb like beast will become stronger as the Time of Trouble comes to an end. Here is the proof, the Gentiles means a group of people doing pagan things under the umbrella of being a false messiah-the papacy and the Catholic Church and all Protestants, and Jews! She will tread down Jerusalem and turned it into Babylon! But the court which is without the Temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.Rev 11:2 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Mat 24:29 Then the beast will come after the Time of Trouble is completed and THE WRATH of THE FATHER starts. Rev 1-17 Then the beast arrives: Rev 11:7--14 In Conclusion: Carter is preaching about money and there is nothing about that in the Bible. The Bible indicates there will be rich men. It also said money will be thrown in the streets! Follow the Bible! Blessings and Happy Sabbath!1 point -

Here you go telling things that are not true! You stated Michael is a man just like king Cyrus was a man! But I will shew thee that which is noted in the Scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but MICHAEL your PRINCE. Dan10:21 And at that time shall MICHAEL stand up, THE GREAT PRINCE which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a Time of Trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. Dan12:1 Yet MICHAEL the ARCHANGEL, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The ALMIGHTY rebuke thee. Jude 1:9 And there was war in heaven: MICHAEL and HIS angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, Rev 12:7 MICHAEL, THE SON of THE MOST HIGH was never a man! YAHWEH, HIMSELF prepare a flesh body for HIS SON! Heb 10:5; 2:4; Col 1:22; Phi 2:7 and in the Syriac Version of the Bible states: "THOU hast clothed ME with a body" MICHAEL was and is a SPIRITUAL BEING that was clothed in a fleshly body that HIS FATHER made for HIM. It is a DIVINE MYSTERY and the DIVINE BODY cannot die, the fleshly body did. I am not going to tell you anything else. YAHSHUA was and is THE ONLY ARCHANGEL as HE is THE ONLY SON of MAN! HE as ALL of THEM have POWERS we cannot fathom! I have faith to believe without doubt! So, I stand on THE WORD where is you evidence not from your mouth but from the WORD of ELOHYIM? Peace!0 points -

You do not read Pence in that Scripture at all! What you are doing is adding a false message, when the Bible clearly says don't. There will never be any Sunday law, the SDA myth! First, where is the words; :I saw or I was shown or the angel showed me," none. This was the view of the church and not of YAHWEH. Then notice that is says see appendix note 13, that they put in without EGW had in her original writing of this book. It is done is not in Daniel 12:1 show me! The Sabbath is not the seal, the sealing process will be done by THE HOLY SPIRIT! The angels flying from the east had the seal to show it would not be complete until the 144,000 called IsraEL are seal and the great multitude. You need to stop reading and ask THE HOLY SPIRIT to lead and guide you when you study the Bible! Happy Sabbath!0 points -

That statement looks rather judgmental. Did you come to that conclusion after reading all the posts on this thread or just the last few pages? Its really sad to see that all you want to do here is to quip back at anyone who dares to question your prophecy prowess. Setting yourself against us all as THE expert, who is never wrong, even when he is wrong, is hypocrisy, not prophecy. Trying to tell people they are "judgmental" because they made an observation of what they are seeing says more about you than the person you direct it at. The Bible commands believers to exercise "righteous judgment" in deciding right from wrong. "It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment." (Prov 18:5), and " Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." (John 17:24). Why are you on a Christian forum telling people to not do something that the Bible clearly tells them to do? Your "prophecy" is no different. Its just incantations of prediction. The Bible talks about "the sin of witchcraft." Maybe it's time for us to review that here? It is nothing but a rejection of the word of God to pump it out as "prophecy" when it has nothing to do with Christ, and dwells on the prediction mindset and its maker.0 points
