Growing up as an Adventist we had a predominantly vegetarian diet, but would maybe have some chicken on Christmas or at my grandparents' place. I'd moved away from that and was pretty omnivorous for a lot of years. My two daughters and their partners are both vegetarian, and a fair way toward veganism, and have been for some years. For one of them it is mostly about the environmental impact of animal agriculture, for the other it is mostly about animal welfare and avoiding cruelty. I'd been reducing the amount of meat I ate for a while, and decided this year to be vegetarian for January and vegan for February. It's going well so far and I'm enjoying it: there are a lot more options than there used to be, but it's also about getting past simply substituting 'shmeat' for meat and just cooking entirely plant-based dishes. I think I'll find veganism harder, because I do enjoy an omelette and milk in my coffee and a cheese platter. So, after February, I'll probably go back to being vegetarian, but also minimise use of other animal products like milk and eggs, and choose things like free-range eggs to make that as ethical as possible. I realise there can also be issues with various plant-based foods too, and would work to minimise those. I don't think perfection is possible in this imperfect world. One of the trickiest things of course is that my beloved wife is less keen on vegetarianism, which will be fine: we can eat different things sometimes. Anyway, no big announcements, really, more an interest in discussion and in sharing experiences. One of the things that's been really interesting is that our daughters led us by example, but never judged, preached or scolded. Just stayed in relationship with us and ate what they chose. If asked they'd tell us why, but there was no active evangelism.

The reason is simple why YAHWEH uses prophetic time instead of man's calendar years because they are off! It all has to do with the lunar/solar Calendar that was given in Creation. Also, most do not understand what the flood actually did, there was so much water that earth was moved from it original place during Creation. The word season should not being used for the Hebrew words "ulov'adimem," which means appointed time, place, or YAHWEH Special meeting or appointed days! Gen 1:14 Before the flood, the earth temperature was neither cold or hot nor was there any rain. The people were tall, the animal were of great sizes and the vegetation was large as well. There were no mountains only hills and plains and the cursing of the ground was only thistle and thorns. Man had to till it but it reaped abudance of crop all the time. The crop would grow because of the abundant of dew, the temperature and the clean air and chemical regneration of the soil and the air. However, after the flood thing changes, the people height shorten due to eaten animal flesh and the change of the weather and bacteria that were formed. Animals shorten their size for killing and eating animals and the green verbage was not the same. It was during the flood that bacteria and other pest were created to eat up the decayed bodies of both people and animals. Mountain were causes by the tossing of large waves, the movement of the land being broken up there was a lot more going on then we relize. Scientist think suns HE Created dies, or stars are being created in Orion Belt. They think they know what a Quazar is or a Nova. Never been out there to see but only through a telescop that is manmade!They still do not understand what black matter is, or why the Universe has no bottom. Zillons on Zillion x Zillions of constelations are in the vast Universe hanging on what? Do you know! The secret things does belong to HIM and what HE share with us is HIS WISDOM and MYSTERY that even Satan cannot fathom and you think you can. Get a life, you can't. Each prophet had visions of time, and it was an angel of YAHWEH that send them the understanding and you have the nerve to think you can figure out YAHWEH'S MATH! You cannot and will not only the wise that he chooses will understand! You have turn you back on THE CREATOR thinking that you have all the knowledge that HE choose to give to the one HE wants. People that have pride and shows no humilty is not who YAHWEH CHOOSES. They are humble people, fill with reverence and adoration for THE MOST HIGH! Good point; but what does THAT have to do with not keeping the original seventh-day Sabbath? Sometimes in Adventist circles, I have attended communion on days other than the Sabbath. That does not mean that the Sabbath has been changes, moved, or omitted? Are you sure this is all there is to it?

Two Flights Took off Simultaneously Most airlines are happy when their first jet takes off, but Concorde got a double-dose of that happiness: Two planes took off at 11:40 a.m., one in London and one in France. These were the first commercial flights for the company after years of testing. The supersonic speeds cut air travel time substantially, but the cost of fuel at the time—and the amount of fuel that the planes consumed per flight—made the tickets expensive. The plane became a symbol of wealth and privilege. Only One Photo Exists of the Concorde Flying at Supersonic Speed The Concorde flew at an average speed of 2170 kph - that's twice the speed of sound. A Royal Air Force Panavia Tornado once asked if it could practice an intercept of the Concorde, chasing it all the way out over the Atlantic, eventually giving up. On another occasion, the Concorde purposefully slowed down so the pilots of the fighter jet could snap a photo, said to be the only one of the plane flying supersonic. At least once, air traffic control had to ask the Blackbird pilots to get out of the way, so the supersonic jet could land at JFK Airport in New York. The Concorde Was Much Faster Than Other Commercial Planes It took eight hours for a regular commercial jet to fly from New York City to Paris. However, the supersonic Concorde could make the same trip in less than 3.5 hours. Its maximum cruising altitude was 60,000 feet at a speed of 1,220 mph, which was over twice that of a normal subsonic aircraft. The Russians Built a Copycat Version of The Concorde While militaries of the United States and Russia raced to the moon, civil aviation companies raced to supersonic flight. Dubbed the Tupolev Tu-144, this Russian plane was, unsurprisingly, a spitting image of the British/French Concorde creation. The Russians actually beat the West to supersonic flight on the 26th May, 1970, becoming the first commercial plane to exceed Mach 2. The primitive prototype was shortlived, however, following a horrific crash at the 1973 Paris Airshow when its pilots attempted to show up the Concorde in a head-to-head face-off for aerial superiority. This all but sealed its fate and saw the Concorde victorious commercially.
