When will Iran attack our (US) fleet?
BlessedMan and one other reacted to Gregory Matthews for a topic
Today is May 17, 2020--A day on which HCH has predicted something big will happen. Nothing specific. Perhaps something big will happen. If so it will be a random happening. it will not be because the Bible predicted it. If nothing big happens it will not be because God & the Bible failed. It will be because HCH failed again.2 points -
20 year Celebration of this community.

WOW, 20 years since this community started. We had celebrated the birth of children, mourned the death of members, rejoiced when some got married who met here. Some have been 'cursed' for being in the wrong political parties. We have seen people join the church thru here and have seen people leave the church thru here. What are your memorial moments?1 point -

It was September and miracle of miracles, schools opened again. Shira Rabinowitz showed up at school with her 4 kids aged 12 to 6, the youngest of whom, Shlomo was starting first grade. Rabbi Lipshitz, the school principal asked Mrs. Rabinowitz what she was going to do all day now that all of her kids would be back in school, even little Shlomo who was starting first grade. Shira replied immediately, "Cartwheels.”1 point -

The so-called "secret" rapture is one of the biggest lies ever told by the nominal churches. It is going to be a far thing from "secret." The Bible is clear that "EVERY eye shall see Him..."1 point -

Well, it is May 18, 2020 all over the U.S., even in Hawaii. Let us look at the happenings of the day to see if anything big happened: * People died from the COVID-19 virus. Well they have been dying every day and will continue to die for some time. Not this. * My main computer crashed with a total failure. But that happened on the 16th, not the 17th. It did not stop me as I am using a 2nd computer. The Bible is not concerned with the functional state of my computer. I could go on. But the bottom line is that HCH was wrong again, as expected. He has demonstrated time and again that he does not understand the Biblical teachings as to End Time events. It gives me no pleasure to say that.1 point -

{taken from Our Father Cares} Truths That Transform The truths of the Bible, treasured in the heart and mind and obeyed in the life, convince and convert the soul, transform the character, and comfort and uplift the heart. . . . The Word makes the proud humble, the perverse meek and contrite, the disobedient obedient. The sinful habits natural to man are interwoven with the daily practice. But the Word cuts away the fleshly lusts. It is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the mind. It divides the joints and marrow, cutting away the lusts of the flesh, making men willing to suffer for their Lord. The service of Christ is a heavenly and holy and blessed thing. The Word is to be diligently searched, for the ministry of the Word discovers the imperfections in our characters and teaches us that the sanctification of the Spirit is a work of heavenly devising, presenting in Christ Jesus the true perfection that if maintained will become a perfect whole in behalf of every soul. We are educated in Bible lines to become complete in Christlikeness and to see His Father’s face in Him who gave His own life for the saving of the soul. If you are an intelligent Christian you will maintain religious vitality and will not be deterred by difficulties. . . . You will work the works of God in gloom as well as in glory, in shade as well as in sunshine, in trial as well as in peace. The truth must be treasured up in your heart as well as incorporated in your being, so that no temptation and no argument can induce you to yield to Satan’s suggestions or devices. The truth is precious. It has wrought important changes upon the life and upon the character, exerting a masterly influence over words, deportment, thoughts, and experience. The soul who appreciates the truth lives under its influence and senses the tremendous realities of eternal things. He lives not to himself, but to Jesus Christ who died for him. To him, God lives and is very cognizant of all his words and actions.1 point -

5 Things You Didn't Know About The NYSE On May 17, 1792, the New York Stock Exchange was founded by brokers meeting under a tree on what is now Wall Street. Here are five surprising facts you probably didn’t know about the NYSE... It Isn’t America’s Oldest Stock Exchange The New York Stock Exchange was established in 1792 when a few dozen merchants and stockbrokers gathered in front of 68 Wall Street and began trading. Yet despite its age, the NYSE doesn't have the distinction of being the first U.S. stock exchange. That instead goes to the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, which was founded in 1790. As the center of economic power shifted to New York from Pennsylvania, the Philadelphia exchange waned in importance, as the NYSE gained financial supremacy – a role that it maintains to this day. It Originally Used “Deer” to Deliver Stock Quotes Before the age of the telephone or any other suitable technology, the exchange would employ runners who would run from the exchange to the offices of local brokers to deliver quotes on the stock. These people were known as ‘deer’. From 1903 stock orders were sent by way of pneumatic tubes. This practice continued until the 1960s despite telephones being available from 1878. The NYSE Is One of the Few That Uses Floor Traders Electronic trading has caused many trading floors around the world to close, but it is still alive and well in New York. The NYSE is the only place in the world where the trading floor is still used. Designated brokers and market makers remain on the stock exchange floor matching sellers and buyers as well as minimizing the volatility of share prices. Although there are far fewer floor traders than there used to be, 500 to 1,000 have responsibilities on the NYSE trading floor on typical days. The Stock Exchange Used to Ring in the Day With a Chinese Gong Until 1903, a day at the NYSE began by ringing a Chinese gong. The gong was replaced with two brass bells that rang at the same time, but it was annoyingly loud and one was moved to a separate room to lower the noise. There are four bells used now, which are located in the four main parts of the stock exchange, and they are rung each day at 9:30 a.m. and again at closing at 4:00 p.m. The bell is rung for 10 seconds to open the exchange in the morning and for 15 seconds to close it in the afternoon. Any deviation from those times often sees traders booing the ringer! Guests Are Invited to Ring the Opening Bell A little boy, age 10, was the first person to ring the opening bell as a guest back in 1956 as a prize in a television quiz. After the 1990s, the practice of inviting a guest to ring the bell became more common and was granted to companies who had just announced a public offering or were starting a new business unit. Celebrities such as Sylvester Stallone and world leaders such as Nelson Mandela and Tony Blair have also pushed the button that starts the day.1 point -

Ye Shall Receive Power

{taken from In Heavenly Places} In Touch with the Infinite There is an education which is essentially worldly. Its aim is success in the world, the gratification of selfish ambition. To secure this education many students spend time and money in crowding their minds with unnecessary knowledge. The world accounts them learned; but God is not in their thoughts. . . . There is another kind of education that is very different. Its fundamental principle, as stated by the greatest Teacher the world has ever known, is, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness" (Mat_6:33). Its aim is not selfish; its purpose is to honor God. . . . God is the source of all wisdom. He is infinitely wise and just and good. Apart from Christ, the wisest men that ever lived cannot comprehend Him. They may profess to be wise; they may glory in their attainments; but mere intellectual knowledge, aside from the great truths that center in Christ, is as nothingness. . . . If men could see for a moment beyond the range of finite vision, if they could catch a glimpse of the Eternal, every mouth would be stopped in its boasting. Men living in this little atom of a world are finite; God has unnumbered worlds that are obedient to His laws, and are conducted with reference to His glory. When men have gone as far in scientific research as their limited powers will permit, there is still an infinity beyond what they can apprehend. Before men can be truly wise, they must realize their dependence upon God, and be filled with His wisdom. God is the source of intellectual as well as spiritual power. The greatest men who have reached what the world regards as wonderful heights in science are not to be compared with the beloved John or the apostle Paul. It is when intellectual and spiritual power are combined that the highest standard of manhood is attained.1 point -

It happened for God. Did not happen for all of human kind. Besides prophecy is not always for man's edification, nor for man's glory. It is all for God’s Glory and Plan.0 points -

I think that folks have it backwards. Satan told the church that Jesus Christ was a lie. That they thought a history was the combination of Zues and Krishna is a lie. Satan is very deceptive and convince people of anything. Krishna was the result of Hinduism adopting the Gospel of Thomas, one of the disciples of Jesus Christ who went to India. It was Hinduism which incorporated Jesus Christ, not the other way around. It was Satan who gave the Greeks themselves a pantheon of God's as science fiction, as they were themselves coming up with the beginning of science on earth. It is telling that God allowed western thought to see the end of Thanos, the God of death just last summer. With all the science fiction gods of the whole world, and their own attempt to eradicate Death/Thanos. Who just with a click of his fingers wiped out whole populations indiscriminately like Jesus declared in Matthew 24, the Olivet Discourse. Two will be together, one will be taken the other left. Satan and God are now in alignment for the next 6+ years. The rapture will happen like a thief. But it will happen on God’s terms, not Satan's nor how we think. It is the 5th and 6th seal of Revelation 6.0 points
