I haven't gone through this entire thread; so excuse me if I'm off-base. God is beyond our understanding; and His ways are far beyond our ways. It's obvious that the pre-incarnate Christ and certain angels had the ability to put on flesh; hence parts. Does that mean that spirit beings also have "parts"? I don't know and I don't care.in my own little mental construct, God the Father is pure spirit; hence He is the spiritual manifestation of God. His appearance would be such an assault on our 5 senses that we would die. The gospels affirm that no one has seen the Father except His Son. Jesus, or God the Son, is the physical manifestation of God. It is He who walked with Adam and Eve, and spoke to Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Joshua. It was He who gave Moses the 10 Commandments. It was He who died on the cross for us because His "parts" were so badly damaged. IMHO, both the Father and Son are also interdimensional. He is not stuck in three physical dimensions; and a prisoner of time and space. There is at least one spiritual dimension that we mere humans are incapable of experiencing unless God opens the "gate" or our "spiritual eyes" for us.

Hi Stinsonmarri & PKrause, Both of you posted confused emoji's to my statement that I didn't believe that The Father was a flesh, bone & organ hominid but that Ellen did. Hopefully this will alleviate some or all of the confusion. Luke 24, 39: Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. John 4, 24: God is spirit, and those and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. The SDA's contemporary with Ellen White as well as Ellen White rebuked the Methodist Church (and other Churches ) specifically over their Creeds because regardless of the Creed they all affirmed that God was spirit and without body or parts. Affirmation that God was without body or parts was an affront to the SDA teaching that God (understood to be the Father only) DID HAVE A BODY and that the begotten Son of God pre-Incarnation ALSO had a body. Sabbath Herald, November 1, 1877: "It would be a hard matter to explain the mystery of the trinity as held by Trinitarians; because the doctrine is contrary to common sense and the Bible. It teaches ,that God has no body, parts, or passions that he is in no' place in particular, but is universally diffused throughout the universe, a mere essence, without form or shape. See the Methodist Discipline, the Episcopal Articles of Faith, and- others". What Mr. Canright is above saying is the direct opposite from below - which is & has been the historic position of Apostolic Christianity. As you will notice the SDA position explained by Canright also radically differs from Apostolic Christianity in the question of "passions". For anyone interested in why Apostolic Christianity takes the position it does in THIS area of Theology I would strongly recommend the book " DOES GOD SUFFER" by Thomas G. Weinandy. Or, if you don't want to read theological book which goes through the Scriptures showing God is Impassible you can watch the 3 minute video below. I take it seriously if someone tells me that they are confused by a post I've made - it means I've not done a good enough job explaining my position. I hope things are now clearer.

The "no private interpretation" text is often used as a cudgel to squash the opinion of anyone who doesn't accept the religious establishment's position. This use is especially ironic when used by the establishment of a religious movement that was born out of rebellion to the then established religious authorities. So, how many adherents does one need before an interpretation is no longer a "private interpretation"? Or, if it has nothing to do with the number of adherents, what is your interpretation of the phrase "private interpretation"?

Oh, you mean like the guns Obama sold to the Mexican cartel and for which the Mexican government is currently demanding that the US investigate? One of those guns was used to kill a US Border patrol agent. You can drag up as many anecdotal events as you wish, but it doesn't change the issue of abortion. And as far as this black woman that was raped, there was a chart posted here in this thread that showed over one half million black on white crimes in one year and a significant number were rapes of white women. Keep in mind that one of the threats of the violent ones in the very recent uprisings were people threatening to invade and create havoc in the suburbs including rapes. You don't get to order me not to tell you about abortion. And white babies get killed for love? Actually, I have read the stories of a number of people who were conceived thru rape, incest.They were very thankful that their mothers chose to give them life. And as far as those horrific acts on women or children, there is a virtual epidemic of statutory rape occurring of young boys by their teachers in this country. One boy, who was so raped, fathered a child and was forced to pay child support. Few of these perverted women do any significant jail time. Studies are out there that suggest that sex crimes by women are almost as frequent as sex crimes by men. Men and boys are not likely to report them, but the effects are devastating to their lives. Many men who do perverted forced acts on women were men who had previously been so taken advantage of by women. One forum I follow for male survivors of molestation tell many stories of women - teachers, baby sitters, older females members of their family who had molested them and they did not enjoy the experience as much as people joke about it. Already noted the number of crimes against whites. But who sold them into slavery when they were put on these ships? You don't go high! You cannot possible state with any certainty what medications the president takes or doesn't take! And no, we do not all know that he hasn't. This is one area that you and the public are being played. Also, one reason you should have taken science classes instead of history! Many of the studies showing no benefit from hydrochloroquine have been used to attack the president. However, they had a serious flaw or two. They claim all these dire complications of people taking the drug never minding that groups of people from two other medical diagnosis's take the medication all the time. The successful studies showing good benefits from this drug also always show it being taken together with zinc supplements. And guess what? When I heard the president say he was taking hydrocloroquine, he also stated he was taking zinc. So, if I were to come down with the disease, I would be more than happy to take hydrochloroquine, because it works. This was a quite rude comment for many reasons. First, I have not said anywhere that I in any way support inhumane treatment of anyone. My wife is black, my grandchildren are black, my extended in-law family is black. Beyond my wife, who I took on the federal government for and got her US citizenship, I also have been able to assist my nephew and niece to come to America. So, don't give me any such lectures about what I should be accepting. (Grandchildren are step-grandchildren, but I don't use that word very often!)

I don't believe The Father to be a flesh & bone hominid - the SDA Pioneers believed / taught that & Ellen White confirmed the SDA Pioneer's teaching by supposedly having visions.
