I have decided not to wait to a furure time to respond here. So, I will give a brief response;. * The standard SDA understanding has been that EGW referred to the Bible as the greater light and to herself as the lessor light. It has not been that of God being the greater light and her being the lessor light. However, EGW did not believe in a dictated, word for word, verbal inspiration of the Bible. Therefore, she did believe in God being greater than the Bible as a book. * EGW never taught that she was infallible. Multiple examples of her teaching on this could be given. the following is one such: * Yes, EGW was doctrinally wrong at times. She was not perfect, and never claimed to be. She, like you and I, grew in her doctrinal understandings over time as all humans dop, or at least should do. * Yes, some of her teachings are not represented in the Bible. She gave a lot of administrative guidance that you can not find in the Bible. The SDA emphasis on vegetarian eating goes beyond what the Bible says. This is one of the reasons why the SDA Church has teachings that are not required for membership.

All of my young life, I had to have vaccines mandated. We are mandated to have driver license for a car. Seat belts are required or mandated, you have to stop at a stop sign, can't park anywhere you choose. Public health is something that everyone should want. People and children are dying. I work for the unemployment and people have told me they are scared to go to work. They want a job but do not want the COVID. I have heard complaints since last year of people quitting because of the health conditions on the job were not followed and they have certain illness and others just do not care! Yes, I understand. It's who you are and that's a tragedy. I am going to continue to pray for you. I will continue to reach out to you, hopefully you will realize I just want us both to pray through this crisis. Gustave, I tried to tell you that all along. Sometimes when we disagree it not for anger or I don't respect you and what you are commenting on. I just believe in, justice, truth and peace. The Catholic Church have been one of the greatest gift givers. Their charities are the best and I have seen many nuns who work tirelessly. Let me say this to you Gustave, I believe that many Catholics are some of the most sincere people you can find. Their faith is outstanding! I have a lot of Catholic friends also! What I comment is what their beliefs and the Bible differ, not the people by any means.

No one on here has said that Presidents don't do executive orders. And executive order that mandates things for the public is the problem. In fact no one is even saying he does not have the ability to mandate for federal employees because they are under the executive branch so he rightly can order them to do certain things. The same goes for the military he can mandate by executive order for them as he is the commander in chief which makes him the person in charge of the military.

That's true; however, insurers, including Medicare and Medicaid providers do have the ability to refuse reimbursement for those antivaxxers who require hospitalization. The government should step up and deny Medicare to those who refuse to be vaccinated. There are plenty of people, trained professionals in biosciences, who are qualified to make that decision for others. An acquaintance of mine, an elderly lady, was discovered to have "terminal" cancer. She was doomed by any standard; nevertheless, her daughter demanded that every possible modality of modern medicine be utilized. Of course, she wasn't paying for it. The taxpayer was. I asked the physician about the situation, why would people demand everything when there was no hope, especially in an 80+ year old patient. He could have just blurted out "Because they are stupid." Being a professional, instead he said "Because they are medically unsophisticated."

Tens of millions of people have been vaccinated. A few have died. But guess what. In the normal course of things, among tens of millions of people, many will be dying anyway. Now you are getting it. Dying at approximately the same time as you get the vaccine does not mean the vaccine did it! Anyone notice that a ton of others reasons to die have disappeared. Anyone getting the flu anymore? Heart disease? Anyone dying in car accidents? I say that because some have died related to a MVA and the hospital asked them for permission to list the cause of death as Covid! And offered them cash to do it!

Any idea how or why they died "because of the vaccine?" Did they have an allergic reaction such as anaphylaxis or Stevens-Johnson syndrome? What kind of shape were they in before getting vaccinated i.e., frail/asthmatics/diabetics/obese? Were they apparently healthy people who just suddenly died after getting vaccinated? Condolences to those who survive them.

At the beginning of this thread Bonnie askrd a question about SDA employees being required to take the COVID vaccine. I consider her question to be a valid question and it is of interest to me. I am asking people I know the same question. This is the response that I am getting: * SDA denominational leaders are waiting to see how local governmental authorities formulate a response to the directive of President Biden. IOW, this thinking is that President Biden does not directly tell them what to do. It is the local government that tells them what to do. * Once SDA denominational leaders have advice (directive) from the local governmental authorities, it will be vetted as to whether or not it is legally binding on the Church. In addition, ethical considerations will be considered to include our responsibility to people at large. * Within the context of the above, denominational leaders will formulate a local policy that will apply to their congregations and employees.

I wonder about vaccine efficacy. As mentioned, AIDS took ~ 15 years to develop an effective treatment. Still no vaccine I've heard of. Covid developed a vaccine in ~ 1 year. I wouldn't expect that Covid vaccine is as efficacious as others that were years in development. Depends on the virus. Cold and flu shots are not 100% effective, other vaccines must be more effective. Anyway, I only took one micro class and our teacher told us we were dumber than other classes. Better find a physician whose view you agree with and take his/her advice.

I found the "ignore" feature on various websites to enhance my online experience tremendously. One website I frequented had more people on ignore than not. When I studied microbiology, our teacher told us we were the dumbest class he ever taught. He based that remark on our test scores; consequently, even though I had one of the best scores in the class, I knew it only meant that I was a bit less "dumb" than others in the class; nevertheless, being less dumb and a few years of experience working in the field of infectious disease, specifically, taught me that pharmaceuticals do a lot more good than they do harm when it comes to treating infectious disease. In some cases, they appear miraculous.

I reject any and all statements made by EGW or the White Estate that are not explicitly backed up by scripture.For example, EGW states that Jesus did not enter the Most Holy Place until 1844. The Book of Hebrews is quite clear that Jesus entered the Most Holy Place soon after His Ascension. I'll believe the writer of Hebrews rather than EGW.

I've had a few Jesuit acquaintances. One was what people might call a "real cool guy." He looked and dressed like a California surfer. Perhaps he was or had been. The "remnant" were deep in apostasy themselves, having gone down into Egypt to worship the queen of heaven. When rebuked by the prophet, they insisted that their betrayal of the queen was what brought Babylon into their city. They didn't care about the LORD, he was nothing to them. If only they had served the queen of heaven faithfully, all would have been well, so they thought. America's enemies can just sit back and wait for the country to destroy itself. Then maybe Russia and China can sort out world domination.
