    The Orphan Keeper

The Orphan Keeper is a 400+ page book that is substantially true and partially fictionalized story that is well worth your reading. It is inspirational. It has a 4-page study guide that can be used in Christian study groups. It also has a 3-page listing of major parts that have been fictionalized. Briefly it tells the story of a young Indian boy who was kidnapped in India, placed in an orphanage, adopted by a U.S. couple who raised him to adulthood and his return to India to recover his past and locate his parents. I recommend it. https://www.theorphankeeper.com/

    SDA Wish List

William G. Johnsson, a former editor of the Review has proposed a wish list of seven (7) things that he would like to see in the SDA Chruch. See: https://spectrummagazine.org/arts-essays/2021/top-seven-my-adventist-wish-list

    SDA Wish List

Oh Wow!!! Fantastic!!! I'd like to mention the tapestry of Adventism. This is what makes us so special. I worry about some of our subgroups wanting to make their thread THE TRUE Seventh-day Adventist and force the rest of us to comply. Some are in those who want to give up the Investigative Judgment, some who want to force us to all be the folk who like subgroups as Focrum7, and scare people away from other ideas, or even the Adventist Theological Society with the list of ideas you need to sign. I'm reminded of what Graham Maxwell said about the 27 and the book on the 27. That the 27 were purposely written in vague open ended style to accommodate the various approaches to Adventism, but some church leaders wanted the book to be written to give the way they hoped the 27 would be understood. He was enthusiastic about the 27 but not so enthusiastic about the book. I like the suggestions Elder Johnson offered for expanding our tapestry!

A Young Earth & an Old Universe in Adventism

I agree. Science has no answer to anything prior to the so-called Big BAng. SDAs differ as to what the Bible says about the age of this Earth and its status at the point of organization. In my understanding the Bible says nothing about the age of the universe. It only says that God created all and all that God created was good.
