Here's a verse that has a lot of relevance for this day an age: Matthew 26:52 Yeshua said to him, "Put your sword (gun, rifle, AR15, etc.) back where it belongs, for everyone who uses the sword (gun, rifle, AR15, etc.,) will die by the sword (gun, rifle, AR15, etc.).

Why are you an Adventist? or What do you like about Adventism?

HD, it has been said that knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, that wisdom is that you know not to put a tomato in a fruit salad. You asked me something very personal on a public platform, and in a way that if I gave this answer last night it would sound like I was covering up a "yes" answer, so I was open in saying "No, we did not have the type of relationship that you asked about." However, a question like that is something very personal. Between myself, God, and whether or not there is a third person. Outside of this the only two other possible people to be included may be a hurt spouse or a child where it effects their inheritance or health history. I think that it is safe to assume that you do not fit into one of these three to five possible situations. Canaanite religion and a good deal of paganism would have these be community issues. Canaanite superstition thought that they needed to come together and unite the life forces to help Baal and the gods of life gain victory over the leviathan, Mot and the gods of death. Their superstitions also made them think that they could steal some or all of someone's life force to bring what their victim's home would have had will now transfer to the abuser's home in Canaan. The Hebrew religion did not allow for this, and wanted to leave these to something private between the family members and God. You showed the knowledge that around this situation there is the possibility of sin, but you did not show the wisdom to leave the question in the privacy where it belongs and not be called into public where a silence or a note like this could be taken as a confession of guilt. Your question was irresponsible, uncalled for, and outright mean. The point of my post is that in the way the Lord has lead me, I have had the privilege of sharing friendships with some very dear people who superficial Christianity does not have room for, but who have a living relationship with God and who I believe that there is plenty of room in heaven for them. And that Adventism's views of issues such as the great controversy and the destruction of the wicked helps me to be able to see more people in heaven. And that one of the things I love about Adventism is our powerful God who has plenty of room for heaven, and that the only ones who will not be there are those who's character is so controlled by selfishness that they will find it hell to live in His presence.
