OTC Hearing Aids: There is a lot of confusion over the value of Over The Counter Hearing Aids. The July/August issue of AARP Bulletin has an excellent article on this subject. Yasef Salaam was one of five teen males convicted of a horrific 1989 crime. In full page advertisements a wealthy person called for them to be sentenced to death. In 2002 another person confessed to that crime and that led to the five being released from prison. Recently Dr. Yusef Salaam was elected to a New York city office. In my opinion, he stands today as an example of what is best in our elected officials and as one who has integrated his religious beliefs into his personal life. I wish him well in the future and I hope that he continues to advance in politics

Leon Gautier, last member of French D-Day military commando, dies at 100 PARIS (AP) — Leon Gautier, the last surviving member of an elite French unit that joined U.S. and other Allied forces in the D-Day invasion to wrest Normandy from Nazi control, has died.
