Age of the Universe
phkrause reacted to Gregory Matthews for a topic
The Big Bang is postulated to have occurred something like 13.8 billion years ago. The creation of the Universe is suggested to have begun about 13.7 billion years ago. The recent Webb telescope had discovered what is presently the oldest known galaxy, which is thought to have come into existence at about 700 million years after the beginning of the Universe. If this is decided to be accurate, it is likely to change scientific thinking of the beginning of our Universe. On the Trinity

I think it would be of value for Dr. Peckham to respond to the comments that Gustave has made to the Review articles. I am attempting to contact Dr. Peckham and invite him to respond. However, I am finding this to be more difficult than I had thought it would be. I do not expect to know if I have been successful for several days. I have attempted to contact him today (March 9, 2024) in the following ways: * By e-mail, I have an address, but it is limited and I am not on the list to send to him. * By telephone, I have a work phone number, he won't hear my message until he goes to his office. * By mail today, that will take several days to get to him.1 point -

Lodi Memorial Hospital
phkrause reacted to Gregory Matthews for a topic
Labor Unions & the SDA Church is an issue that has resulted in some interesting doctrinal positions. Individual SDA members are allowed to join labor unions and to assume leadership positions in them. On an International basis, in some nations, probably the majority of SDA members are also members of a labor union. There are cases where a labor union has defended the right of a SDA member to refuse to work on the Sabbath. However, the SDA Church has taken the position that it has a religious right to refuse to bargain with a labor union. The situation at Loma Linda is an example of this. Now, a new situation at a hospital in Lodi has arisen. See the following article. https://www.lodinews.com/news/article_3308b794-dc2e-11ee-be89-c38de03aecc1.html1 point -
From Islam to Judaism: Timor-David Aklin’s Tumultuous Journey
phkrause reacted to Kevin H for a topic
Leah has at least one star in her crown! Let's pray for Timor-David as he continues to grow. We need to pray for Christians, especially the Arab Christians, as well as Jews and the Muslims. We all have so much truth, but sadly, none of us fully see our potential in the word of God; but at least Christians and Jews are searching. Islam has so much truth that they are ignoring as they choose to be political and hate. Pray that God will raise up a "Mohamad Luther".1 point -
