I have stated for years that EGW has been overlooked when she wrote clearly these words: How shall we search the Scriptures in order to understand what they teach? We should come to the investigation of God’s word with a contrite heart and a teachable and prayerful spirit. We are not to think, as did the Jews, that our own ideas and opinions are infallible, nor with the papists, that certain individuals are the sole guardians of truth and knowledge, that men have no right to search the Scriptures for themselves but must accept the explanations given by the fathers of the church. We should not study the Bible for the purpose of sustaining our preconceived opinions but with the single object of learning what God has said. Some have feared that if, in even a single point, they acknowledge themselves in error, other minds would be led to doubt the whole theory of truth. Therefore, they felt that investigation should not be permitted and that it would tend to dissension and disunion. But if such is to be the result of investigation, the sooner it comes, the better. If there are those whose faith in God’s word will not stand the test of an investigation of the Scriptures, the sooner they are revealed, the better, for then the way will be opened to show them their error. We cannot hold that a position once taken, an idea once advocated, is not, under any circumstances, to be relinquished. There is but One who is infallible—He who is the way, the truth, and the life. Those who allow prejudice to bar the mind against the reception of truth cannot receive the DIVINGE enlightenment. Yet, when a view of Scripture is presented, many do not ask, Is it true—in harmony with God’s word? But by whom is it advocated? And unless it comes through the very channel that pleases them, they do not accept it. So thoroughly satisfied are they with their own ideas that they will not examine the Scripture evidence with a desire to learn but refuse to be interested merely because of their prejudices. There is a need for a much closer study of the word of God, especially should Daniel and the Revelation have attention as never before in the history of our work. We may have less to say in some lines in regard to the Roman power and the papacy, but we should call attention to what the prophets and apostles have written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God. They dare to put out and demand the Ten Commandments to be in every classroom in Louisiana and Oklahoma, forcing all teachers to teach Bible classes. The problem with the leaders and us is that we never really listen to EGW when she says things I was told the angel said instead of things she bases on her own beliefs! We need to realize we cannot believe like the Protestants or the Catholics. EGW came out of the Methodist Church, and many beliefs were still with her, and that is why she realized before she died that things once believed were errors and had to be eradicated. Yet we have refused to listen to the letter she sent to Brother Chapman from Petoskey, Michigan, on June 11, 189. I have been shown that it is the device of the enemy to lead minds to dwell upon some obscure or unimportant point, something that is not fully revealed or is not essential to our salvation. This is made the absorbing theme, the “present truth,” when all their investigations and suppositions only serve to make matters more obscure than before, and to confuse the minds of some who ought to be seeking for oneness through sanctification of the truth. There are many mysteries that I do not seek to understand or to explain; they are too high for me and too high for you. On some of these points, silence is golden. The king of Sodom was there with the King and Priest Melchizedek, and when Abraham came, he raised his hands to YAHWEH and not to any god! That title was nonexistent. The Commandments, they do not keep themselves, and do the SDA observe all of them as they claim? I would like to know where in the Bible does it mentions Sunday Blue Law or the Papacy is going to force people to keep it. It is the Evangelicals who are trying to force people to keep their false ideas of the Commandments. The problem with SDA is that we wanted to be accepted when we were not to be of the world. We were supposed to be peculiar; instead, we changed, becoming just another church denomination! Israel had the same problem, and they are gone. Their DNA is not found; the people's blood tests are traced back to the Middle East. The Bible said in Gen 9:27 that Shem's children will be replaced by Japheth and Deut Chapter 28, the curses and complete destruction of the Hebrews seed! Because they did not keep the Covenant! The Jews are not the Hebrews or Israel; they stated that fact themselves in their 1980 Almanac. They do not accept the teaching of YAHSHUA but the belief of the Pharisees, which is called Rabbinical Judaism. In Israel, the majority do not keep the Sabbath, and the orthodox Jews make the Sabbath so strict, which is not Biblical but based on the Mishina and the Talmud! YAHWEH vs. God and Christianity. If Christianity was the correct title, it appears strange that YAHSHUA never called HIS disciples to use it. YAHSHUA called Paul to lead the Gentiles to the truth and never mentions it! Moses gave the generation of the sons of Noah and stated the Gentiles were only Japheth children. (Gen 10:5) Yet, the Pharisees wrote and denied the Kanaanites their birthright given by ELOHIYM. (Gen 8:18) The Pharisees went even further and stopped the people from using YAHWEH NAME! But now, the Greek Gentiles accepted Paul's teachings in Antioch, and when Barnabus was sent there, this was the first time the disciples were called Christians! None of the other assemblies was this ever mentioned. Then, if it was so important, why is it only mentioned three times in the Bible? It is a question that many believe that the followers of YAHSHUA wrote the Gospel first. Both the Pharisees and the Priest hunted the people who call themselves "The Way," and killed many of them and threw them into prison. (John 14:6, Acts 9:2; 22:4; 24:14, 22) They had the writings; are we that naive to think the disciples would not have written down the stories? The Gospel needed to be preached, and the Bereans are the proof because they searched the Scriptures to see if these things were so. (Acts 17:10-15) Paul wrote the Book of Hebrews for the Hebrews who should have understood the truth of the MESSIAH. They also wrote because many sects of false leaders were everywhere, and sadly, it was the Greeks and the Romans who accepted Constantine's false beliefs. Paul saw it and wrote that the mystery of iniquity was already starting! (2Th 2:7) Anyone can look and see that god is Theos, and Etymology online will trace it back to Zeus. Then from Zeus, the supreme god of the ancient Greeks and master of the others, 1706, from Greek, from PIE *dewos- "god" (source also of Latin deus "god," Old Persian daiva- "demon, evil god," Old Church Slavonic deivai, Sanskrit deva-), from root *dyeu- "to shine." That is Lucifer, who wants to be like THE MOST HIGH! (Isa 14:12-14). The Jews, the Christians, Islam, Mormons, Hindus, Satan worshipers, and much more use the word God!
