Watering while Black
Rahab and one other reacted to stinsonmarri for a topic
If you did not know what happened, then why would you say that Ham was not a good guy? The Bible shows what happened; you just accepted the lie that was told to you. You do not realize that YAHWEH had Moses to show about Nimrod, and he is black and the only ruler of all the people of the then know the world. They followed him into sin. Even though he was a sinner, all paganism comes from him, including the mother-child that even the Catholic Church observes. But YAHWEH felt a reason to speak about him. I know he is a six, a symbol to clarify that flesh has lost its perfection of being a seven! YAHWEH showed that Babel became Babylon, which symbolized the holy city in the end, which is near! I do not know why you get so upset, but it is the lies and all denomination beliefs! So why did Noah get drunk and wake up and curse Kenaan? If you are sick, then I suggest you pray and ask THE HOLY SPIRIT to assist you. Because he was black and was accused of something because of the color of his skin! Benjamenites were never accused of being cursed and supposed to be enslave people. I will pray for you! Blessings to you!2 points -
Adventism Today

Addventism Today: The following article suggests that we can learn how Adventism today compares with that of it in the days of our founders and that learning is facilitated by looking at Adventist reactions to recent election issues. NOTE: it does not get into who should have received Adventist votes. It does not evaluate the candidates. https://atoday.org/what-progressive-adventists-can-learn-from-the-2024-presidential-election/1 point -

Adventism & the '24 Election: The election is over. The people have voted. The following article suggests that this election has something to teach us about our place in the world today. It is not intended to suggest that the results were either good or bad. https://atoday.org/what-progressive-adventists-can-learn-from-the-2024-presidential-election/1 point -
Personal--Gregory Matthews

Absolutely. I ask for and receive a bit more than is normal. The actual injection may (sometimes) feel just like a small sting. Afterwards. my eye may (sometimes) feel a bit scratchy. I have lubricant eyedrops at home that I can use to ease that feeling. Sometimes (not always) I may have black spheres of the medication floating in my visual field. They go away, sometimes quickly and sometimes by the next morning. By the next morning my vision has returned to my normal. But for several hours after the injection, my vision may be limited. I can see the broader field. But, i am not at the place where I can do normal reading and I stay off the computer in general. Of course i do not drive.1 point -
NAD Finances

NAD Finances: The article linked below reports in some detail on the current (November 2024) financial picture of the North American Division. It makes for interesting reading. Frankly, my personal position is that we must reduce upper-level overhead and provide increased support on the congregational level. I do not believe that every position currently on each organizational level is either needed or helpful. https://spectrummagazine.org/news/nad-reports-stable-finances-leaders-call-for-more-local-funding/1 point -

Watering while Black

Theophilus: Here is the problem: "Michael Jennings wasn't breaking any laws or doing anything that was obviously suspicious; the Black minister was simply watering the flowers of a neighbor who was out of town." Just like in this story, you do the same thing. I gave proof, but it was not to your satisfaction. Where does it say that Ham and Kenaan did anything? You see and believe what you want. That is your choice, but because I said the problem started back in the Bible, you have a problem with it. That tells a story because all of this mess of hating today is what happens with Noah and his two sons! You sadly do not want to see it. Many do want to see how one brother's children could hate their cousins so much to make them chattel slaves. I gave a true account of a Biblical story that Noah lied about. You did not see it because the Bible says to study; that word means to research. What is sad is that Ham went in and saw his father naked, as Moses recorded him. He turned to his brothers and told them who were outside the tent. Ham told them to get clothes for their father to cover him up. Yet, a whole array of lies were produced that have never been proven! Then Noah wakes up, and words are added and arrays of lies to make it appear that a child did some sexual act on his grandfather! You accepted those lies! Then you do want to know that Noah had no right to curse his grandson! Kenaan was a child, and the Bible proved it! You still believe the lie that Ham was not a good guy. You did not prove or give any reason why you made that statement. I did prove Noah lied; what did Kenaan, a child, do? It was way off base to people like you who do not want to recognize the problem! I gave a Biblical account of the problem of hate and accusations that go back to Noah! Since this story, many brothers from all ethnic people hate and kill their brothers because of what their brothers have. It could be anything, but it belongs to the brother! YAHWEH showed Cain what he did to his brother, and no one argued, including you, against it—but dealing with skin color, oh boy! Today, they try to embrace Kenaan, trying to make him white; isn't that something? Our ancestors enslaved Chattle people over Kenaan, and now he is white. It is because of what the Kenaanites have done that there is a swift change. It is sad, and a lot of people will be lost because they refuse to see the problem. The hatred that Satan has for YAHSHUA is demonstrated by using families to wreak havoc on each other. That is why THE SON died, and you can't see the problem! Sad! Oh! Prunes are good for cleaning out your system. Thanks!1 point -
Adventists & Catholics

Adventists and Catholics: The History of a Turbulent Relationship is a 2024 book by Reinder Bruinsama. It is of interest as a historical study related to how the developing SDA Chruch related to the Roman Catholic Church. One addressed issue of interest is whether or not Rome is different in any way from what it was in the early days of the SDA Church. The following article is a review of this 346-page book. NOTE: It is on sale on Amazon for $100. https://spectrummagazine.org/culture/books-film/how-reinder-bruinsma-challenges-adventisms-fundamental-premise-on-catholicism/1 point
