The Accidental Adventist
phkrause reacted to Gregory Matthews for a topic
Amy Leach has authored a 240-page book published this year titled: The Salt of the Universe, Praise, Songs, and Improvisations. As a former Adventist member it should not be a surprise that her book is critical of Adventism. What is surprising is that she considers her Adventist background to be an essential part of what she calls her "accidental Identity." She then goes beyond that to acknowledge her fundamental love for the Seventh-day Adventist Chruch, and its members. For a review of her book see: https://spectrummagazine.org/culture/books-film/reviewing-amy-leachs-salt-of-the-universe/ Amazon is selling the book for less than $18. Error Correction
GayatfootofCross reacted to Gregory Matthews for a topic
Error Correction: Recently the news media has reported on an alleged New York law that was said to require all restaurants located at rest stops in New York to be open every day of the week. I may (?) have reported on this. That report contained a factual error. The actual New Youk law only requires that future restaurants located at rest stops be open every day of the week. It does not require that such present restaurants be open every day of the week.1 point -
