Demon Possession: The link below takes you to a 2018 article by Stephen Furgason published in the official SDA publication Adventist Record that discussed demon possession. It is of interest. https://record.adventistchurch.com/2018/11/01/28-fundamentals-the-day-i-attended-an-exorcism-my-own/ In the current article cited below, he updates the subject and develops it more. https://atoday.org/do-ordinary-christians-need-exorcisms/1 point -
What I Think I Know About Rev 17
phkrause reacted to news for a topic
Revelation 17 is one of the most difficult parts of the Bible to interpret, particularly verses 7-11. When I was teaching at Andrews University, therefore, I decided to make Revelation 17:7-11 the topic of a PhD seminar class. Five PhD students signed up for the class. For the first fifteen hours of class time, I […] The post What I Think I Know About Rev 17 appeared first on Jon Paulien's Blog. View the full article1 point -

Peter Yarrow

Glad that we live in a world where beautiful music is recorded. Also, while I have not found anything on Mary, I'm glad to have read how both Peter and Paul are believers, one a Christian the other Jewish, so we have the blessed hope of hearing their voices sing again! I hope that Mary will be there too.1 point -

Alpha Evangelism
phkrause reacted to Gregory Matthews for a topic
Club Adventist, as you know, is simply a place where people can get together to discuss, in a civil fashion, subjects, often religious, of common interest. Alpha Evangelism is a similar program of the local church, where people come together, share a common meal and in small groups freely discuss a daily subject of spiritual interest. Beginning March, 2025, the Gracepoint SDA Church will begin such a program. Registration is desired if child care is needed, and is helpful for planning the shared common meal. CEO's death and the World Burns
GayatfootofCross reacted to Asia Joe for a topic
The popularity of the man accused of murdering a CEO is deeply disturbing. The murder itself is not a surprise. We have had mentally unbalanced people doing murders for some time. But the making of him into some kind of hero, is deeply disturbing.1 point -
SDAs and Trump
phkrause reacted to Gregory Matthews for a topic
SDAs and President Trump: It is widely thought the Seventh-day Adventists, whether or it is true, largely voted for President Trump. In the following, lengthy, article eight SDAs tell us why they decided to vote for Trump. The article simply presents their views. It does not evaluate those comments as to whether or not they are reasonable. It simply informs. From that perspective, I find it interesting. https://spectrummagazine.org/views/eight-adventist-trump-supporters-in-their-own-words/1 point -
