The State of the Church (SDA)

The State of the SDA Church: The article linked below runs for eleven printed pages. That is longer than many people will want to read. It posits that the SDA Church has transitioned to a time where it is facing critical issues related to mission and ministry. The issues that it raises seemingly lack an ability to resolve. In short, the future of the SDA Church may depend on how we begin to address these issues today. https://spectrummagazine.org/views/analysis/the-emergent-pastoral-staffing-crisis/

    Death Master File

The Death Master File is a subset of the Social Security Administration's Numident database file, computerized in 1961,[3] which contains information about all Social Security numbers issued since 1936. The Death Master File is considered a public document under the Freedom of Information Act, and monthly and weekly updates of the file are sold by the National Technical Information Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce.[4] Knowing that a patient died is important in many observational clinical studies and is important for medical research.[5] It is also used by financial and credit firms and government agencies to match records and prevent identity fraud. The data includes: Name (Given name, surname), since 1990s the middle initial Date of birth (Year, Month, Day) Date of death (Year, Month), since 2000 the day of month Social Security number Whether death has been verified or a death certificate has been observed. In 2011, the following information was removed: Last ZIP code of the person while alive ZIP code to which the lump sum death benefit was sent, if applicable. NOTE: While the above is an exact quote, I have made a change in the exact order of the above in order to make it easier to understand. General Brown Fired

On February 21 2025, President Trump exercised his legal authority to remove General Brown from his position as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Normally this is a 4-year position. As such, General Brown was the highest ranking person in the entire US military. He was over all branches of the military. I have been asked what his retirement pay will be. That is uncertain, due to the fact that all US 3-star and 4-star officer's retirement rank is determined by a vote of Congress. Congress may vote to retire him at either the 3-star rank ot the 4-star rank. If Congress does not vote his retirement at that level, General Brown will automatically retire at the rank of a 2-star officer. I have been asked as to what his retirement pay might be. I have researched it, factored in the important facts, and I have determined that his retirement pay will be as follows. NOTE: I have not considered retirement at the 3-star rank as I do not consider that likely, but it could be. 4-sta4r rank: $18,880.00 per month: $226,560.00 per year. 2-atar rank: $16,611.00 per month; $199,332.00 per year. The difference between he two: $2,269.00 per month; $27,228.00 per year. NOTE: For those of you who attempt to run the figures and think that the above amounts reflects his current Active Duty pay, you have misunderstood the system as his current Active Duty pay exceeds the above amounts.

    US Veterans

The federal government is the single largest employer of veterans in the country, said Randy Erwin, president of the National Federation of Federal Employees, a union that represents 110,000 federal employees. Nearly 30% of the more than 2.2 million federal employees are veterans, he said. More than half of those veterans are disabled, according to the latest publicly available data by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. Erwin fears nearly a half-million veterans could go jobless under Trump’s stated cost-cutting plan to gut the federal workforce and drastically cut federal spending — and he worries their struggles won’t end there.

    Adventist Longevity a Myth?

For the omega's 3,6,9, you might research chia seed. It is suppose to be high in the omegas as well as being excellent fiber. Seems to be some difference of opinion as to whether it is better than flax seed, but it doesn't have to be ground, as I understand flax seed does. God blesses!
