I've learned to be very cautious when reading things from Adventist scholars but at 1st glance the premise of the article is something I agree with - I'm pleasantly surprised here phkrause! Aquinas and St. Augustine wrote about this.

We are living in a time when it is important not to be misunderstood. The bottom line is that the murder of Charlie Kirk was a terrible crime. He was not a perfect person, but that does not negate the fact that it was a terrible crime. In an effort to prevent misunderstanding, I am asking that we refrain from commenting on any imperfections that we may think are related to him, regardless of whether they are true or not. Violations of my request will be considered for removal. NOTE: I have discussed this with Stan who is aware of my decision.

No one has ever "given me a hard time" for going to Church on Saturday hobie. I estimate 1/3 of the time lately my Wife and I go to Church on Saturday. I've noticed a pattern with some Seventh-day Adventists - in their making claims about the Sabbath (St. Patrick was a sabbath keeper, Denzel Washington was a sabbath keeper, etc.). Going to Church on a certain day doesn't make one a Christian but one can't be a Christian without believing in the Trinity and all it requires.

Gustave, thank you for your always polite and considerate response. I am personally ashamed of some of our members and sad to say SDA clergy that could take some lessons from you. The quick and mostly negative response to other beliefs he had /voiced was sickening. At least let the man be buried. He has a grieving wife and two very young children, What is posted online will be there in years to come for them to read.At least until the man is buried I would think something positive could be said or maybe nothing at all
