When God brought Israel out of bondage, He implemented laws which some might consider draconian. Various offenses were punishable by death. There was no freedom of religion or speech, for that matter. Illegitimate children were to be aborted. A potion was administered by a priest to that end. Sexual immorality was punishable by death. A system, cities of refuge, was devised to deal with murderers, for which execution was commanded. Homosexuality was explicitly forbidden, no doubt because it was practiced in Egypt. Even with a system like this, the people were ultimately all killed. A new nation was brought forth. Many of the things which God punished with death are now openly practiced in America. A China-Russia military alliance could be as devastating to America as Babylon or Rome was to Israel. People worry about the shaking. There are other things to be concerned about.

I am not employed by a conference or mission. But I hold evangelistic meetings. Later this year I will start a new set of meetings. Evolution VS Creation. There is a lot of scientific evidence proving evolution is impossible. Dr James Tour has many videos on it. The difficulty is to make the complex, a simple thing to understand.

That's not what is being reported here. Seem like a miscommunication between two federal agencies. Two men, one from each agency got confused and started shooting. GC EXCOM voted to confirm the dates for the 63rd GC Session, scheduled for June 20–29, 2030, in Indianapolis, Indiana. GC President Köhler said the dates were set slightly earlier than usual to reduce travel challenges and avoid major holidays and peak travel periods. The goal, he noted, is to ease flight congestion, lower costs, and improve logistics for international delegates attending one of the denomination’s largest global gatherings. The decision also builds on earlier plans for Indianapolis to host the 2020 session, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, preparations were already underway. “We were just a few short months away[…]and then COVID-19 shut down everything,” GC Associate Treasurer Sabrina D’Souza recalled while presenting the motion. She framed the 2030 session as both a return to those plans and a continuation of the church’s regular global meetings. During the discussion, a question was raised about whether future sessions could be held outside the US. Responding, Köhler said leaders are already considering options for the 2035 session. “We are evaluating different locations[…]United States [and] outside of the United States,” he said, noting that decisions will take into account visa access, transportation, costs, and infrastructure. He added that, as a global church, future sessions will aim to better serve members from all regions. --------------------- There were many problems leaving the last session from that small airport. Many complaints. By 2035 two giant airports will be open in Asia. One in the Philippines is under construction and it is planned to have 4 active runways. The largest amount in the world.

But for now, we can have a round of 'Happy Sabbath' this Sabbath, 'Feliz Sabbado' for Spanish, or even 'Shabbat Shalom' which is the traditional Hebrew greeting means "Sabbath [of] peace" and is used to wish someone a restful and peaceful Sabbath. Commonly used from Friday sundown to Saturday evening, or in the hours leading up to the Sabbath, as a blessing for wholeness, well-being, and a taste of the "World to Come". Or a "Gut Shabbos" (Yiddish for "Good Sabbath") or the Aramaic "Shabbata tava" this Sabbath.

This is common throughout the world. The church members have no common purpose. In churches where they know their mission, there is no growth problem. Once, after many months, I convince a district pastor with 12 churches, the importance of community service as a mission. Then his wife was transferred to another island and he went with her. Churches without a mission, stumble along. It is not a simple thing to get the local church into mission mode.

If mission is important to you, consider the JWs. Their congregations are/used to be training schools for their members to do personal evangelism. Members were/are expected to devote certain hours every month to door to door evangelism. Members who excelled in this work might secure a paid position to do evangelism in other parts of the world.
