Next: Why, according to the King James Version, can it be argued that Shem, Ham, and Japheth were triplets? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Liz Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I will take a stab at this one. Was it because in the KJV when it talked about "so and so begatting so and so" it was always father with first born son? Then it would say and he also begat other sons and daughters. But since it said Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth, it would stand to reason that they were triplets. How did I do? Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted February 18, 2009 Members Posted February 18, 2009 because in Genesis 5:32 it says that Noah was 500 years old when he begat Shem, Ham and Japheth. Same age for each of the sons' birth. Hence, triplets. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup.
