Um, you know, after reading the description I had two reactions.

1) Sounds like demons. No single animal could drink that much blood in one night, right?

2) I think I saw glowing read eyes staring back at me from the bushes one night when I was 12 and living out in the country in WI.

Their job (other than the purely physical one you discovered in googling them) is to sever the silver cord that binds spirit to body.

If you have ever done much reading regarding astral traveling (which is forbidden to Christians and not very smart given what creepies are lurking out there ANYWAY), you will find all these instructions to "follow the silver cord" that ties your astral self to your belly button.

Well the silver cord is one of the four things that if severed or broken causes death.

Sex Magick breaks the golden bowl (which is what protects us from demon possession)

Abba has not seen fit to teach me about the others yet. I hope He never has to... It's scary.

Those who have escaped and spent many long years in counseling and recovery (who I know) have told me that because they (the chupacabra) are physically manifesting they believe the end is incredibly close... and while Revelation is spiritual, as above so below, it will also play out very literally.

Now... I expect naysayers to come and tell me why I'm wrong.

Um, well, I've never seen one of these before, but two things:

1. I've already been visited by a black "hollow" (yet slightly visible) demon that was taller than me (I'm 5' 1"), an angel that was at least 6-7 ft tall (no one else saw him, and he also was so transparent that I wondered if I was seeing things), 2 dreams about Yeshua that no conservative Adventist would believe because they both go against common teachings to some degree (yet are both Biblical anyway, IMHO), and I saw a black shadow of a head travel across the lower corner of my bedroom wall once.

2. I know that I'm Protected by God and Trust Him to do that, regardless of what I've seen or experienced. I'm His Bride. I'm His. I'm His Responsibility. It isn't for me to commit Blaspheme by trying to do His Job for Him. I can tell such demonic forces to leave me alone in Yeshua's name, and they have to obey. But seriously, I'm not afraid of them. Because I know that God is Greater. Haha - that whole Allah Akbar thing is true. It's just too bad it's been so badly abused that now everyone who's not Islamic is afraid of it.

I have no clue about any silver chord or Sex Magic or golden bowls (other than a golden something or other that has the prayers of the saints in it, in Revelation). I'm guessing that I don't need to go there if God hasn't Lead me there Himself, which I don't believe He specifically has.

Um, well, see, this wasn't in my periphery vision. It was in my full view, and it was not cast by anything that I could actually see. There were no windows or mirrors that could have cast that shadow, nor was there anyone walking outside, and had there been, the shadow would have been bigger and more fuzzy. It was clearly a shadow of a head (no body) that was just traveling for a couple of feet at the bottom of the wall where the carpet meets it. Then it just disappeared.

To me, that's what life is all about. Risks and such. But I've come to the realization that I really have no such risks - fears are just in your head and that's all. Even if they are fears of real things. The fears themselves are just in your head. But Perfect Love casts out all fear! I'm not scared of the existence of demons (who apparently are rather unintelligent - they argue with and hate each other, from what other witnesses have told me). I simply have God, and He has me. I'm not afraid that He'll let anything like that happen to me unless it's Supposed to, and I figure that if He Leads me to it, He'll Lead me through it. I just prefer to focus on Living the Saved Life that He's given me, and not worry about the rest. Life's too short to worry when God's got it Covered, and it is still true that, when my "number is up" then, well, it's up - but at the same time, it's not over 'till the fat lady sings! Honestly, if I saw something like that (again?), sure, I'd scream. And then tell it it has to go away in Jesus' name.

What happens after that is up to God, and I'll simply be out of it. 'Cause really, this whole world is a battle ground between Him and demons anyway. I refuse to be a victim. I'd rather just ignore the whole stupid thing after telling them to bug off, and be happy living my life apart from it all, knowing that God will take care of it on His own. It's His battle, not mine. My battles are of the heart and in relationships with people. Even then, I have to look to Him and my relationship with Him in my heart to fight that one. Those are the demonic battles that I believe we humans are Given to Fight, because the Fight makes us stronger in our hearts and in Relying on His Love for us.

Also, one way that I can know that such appearances of these creatures to humans is a demonic thing is that, so far, I've not read of any accounts of human beings being killed by them. Even satan wasn't allowed to take Job's life. Just to seriously rough him up. I'm sure that people who were not Spiritually Aware of God's Protection did need therapy. Probably even those who were Aware. But it's comforting to me to see that at least so far, I've not found any evidence that they've been Allowed to kill anyone. They're only Allowed to scare those who God wishes to Allow that to happen to, and it's at least sometimes so that people who don't really believe in Him will learn for themselves that there really is a spiritual realm out there - on that includes Him.

Thanks I have to remind myself of this all the time. I don't care what shape or form demonic beings take - they sure cause a lot of trouble in the minds of people who aren't yet strong in knowing the implications of this statement as it applies to all situations.

Hi Clio. I am saying that Satan can only occupy ground that we give to him.

Sometimes parents pass occult stuff onto their children. This ground too can be reclaimed by the Lord Jesus Christ. We can renounce the enemy in Christ's name and ask Him to take back the ground we gave to the enemy.

I would say that you understand the principle perfectly. However applying the principle in spiritual warfare tends to be much harder.

I think our carnal nature wants to "help" Him somehow, and people don't just ask in total faith. Too many buy into the idea that the demonic don't really have power in this realm, so why would they need help getting rid of it?

They do have power in this realm and it is subject only to Abba's power and that of His Beloved Son. Even angels can be delayed by the regional princes. Witness Daniel. The angel was delayed 21 days by the prince of Persia, who met him and fought with him. He apologized to Daniel for being late, I think. If not an apology, the angel did offer an explanation as to his tardiness.

As we grow closer to the time when "The" AC manifests physically, we will see more and more demonic activity. The veils are indeed thinning.
