I can t help expressing my thoughts about this following statement again:

I was shown the company present at the Conference. Said

the angel: "Some food for worms, [sISTER CLARISSA M. BONFOEY, WHO FELL ASLEEP IN

Jesus ONLY THREE DAYS AFTER THIS VISION WAS GIVEN, WAS PRESENT IN USUAL

HEALTH, AND WAS DEEPLY IMPRESSED THAT SHE WAS ONE WHO WOULD GO INTO

THE GRAVE, AND STATED HER CONVICTIONS TO OTHERS.] some subjects of the seven last

plagues, some will be alive and remain upon the earth to be translated at the coming of Jesus."

Jesus clearly makes a distinction between people who walk after worldliness and people who focus on heaven. Jesus even calls Peter Satan! It would be a worldly interpretation if we said that this is clearly a wrong prophecy because all the people at the conference have past away. The angel only said 'some' but did not explicitly said that it concerns only the people at the conference. It would be ludacrous to believe that Ellen White wrote millions of words to be learned in a few decades. It is my conviction that the angel used the people at the conference to show Ellen White what would happen with her true followers in general. I surely hope that we are the last generation before Jesus returns.

I don't know if I would go all that far. I think most are sincere with their beliefs.

But either case ... I don't know that it really matters what Ellen White was saying. It really does not concern me. I think we can get the principles of her messages without picking them apart. Take what is Biblical and throw out the rest.

The only ones that would really be concerned with this statement are those that want to prove she is without error. I don't subscribe to that thought. So, which ever way it is ... I DON'T Care.

"What are we going to do about TruthSeeker. The Father said , "I thought you knew ALL things". The Son said "This one has me stumped". So, the Father hatched a plan and shared it with the Son. "You are to go down to Earth and DIE ... that TruthSeeker might live". Thus the plan to predestinate that TruthSeeker would be saved.

It was done as planned. The Son signed the contract in His own blood. And TruthSeeker is now predestinated to be saved.

The Father and Son have now been united again and they are watching it all play out. The Son is saying to the Father ... "What if TruthSeeker doesn't accept the plan?" And the Father says "Have faith my Son". "Have faith".

I think that Seventh-day Adventists are used to the fact that we are the only Christian church who keeps all 10 commandments. With that in mind we have the tendency to think that everything our church teaches and our professed prophet says is always correct. We were taught, or should I say, since I studied in SDA schools, I grew up thinking that EGW is a prophet of God and a pioneer of the only commandment keeping church and thus end up thinking that she should never make mistakes.

truthseeker007, it would be nice if you could share with us the source/reference that you saw this thing that you talk about i.e. Ellen White claimed that an Angel told her that some of the conference would be alive at the return of Jesus.

Blood + acceptance =salvation. The blood was shed for all but only a few in comparison to the population of the world down through the ages will be saved. What makes the difference? Only those who truly accept and act on that acceptance will be saved.

Exactly, But the acceptance includes the acts. And of course if we truely accept the salvation we will accept the relationship and nurture the relationship with Jesus that makes it possible for us to grow more like Him daily.

That's a wonderful verse, and one that gives us all hope, but It helps to put things in context and to remember other verses on the same subject, lest we misunderstand what it means.

For instance, don't forget, among others, "Let every one who names the name of the Lord abstain from wickedness" (2 Tim. 2: 19, NASB).

Also, "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace might increase? May it never be!" (Rom 6: 1,2).

I don't think you should ignore errors. But you should put them in their place. Take what is good and throw out the rest.

God is not waiting for particular political events to happen before He can come. He is only waiting for the church to be prepared, and when she is ready, He will allow those events prophesied in the Bible to happen. God wanted Christ to come for His church a long time ago, just He planned for the Israelites to go right into the Promised Land. It was only their stubbornness and refusal to believe and obey that kept them out and caused them to die in the wilderness. The same has been keeping the church from entering into the heavenly promised land.

GREAT POINT! I've never though of it that way before! At the same time I think it's not only the church, but the world that is given some time also.
