Kountzer Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I read that book once. I think I have a copy of it at home. It scared the begebbers out of me. Good halloween book. His other, similar book "beware of angels" is also very good. His books on prayer are very good also. DB Quote I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs. rush4hire Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 I've said this before, that those with a similar history to yours know firsthand the Great Controversy between Christ and Satan. It's funny how Ellen White blows Satan's cover wide open, and yet, has no experience in the occult. It is in doing the Lord's work where we experience firsthand the Great Controversy between Christ and Satan. [color:#BF0000]Eph. 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. In working to save souls, you will realize you are in a very real war. You will see the evil angels fighting tooth and toenail to keep souls in darkness. That's their home and the means whereby they find expression in this world. They don't want to get kicked out. They don't even want to be made known. [color:#BF0000]Luke 8:31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. Matt. 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. You are also taking away their stuff. It's like the Lord, through you, is committing armed robbery. [color:#BF0000]Matt. 12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. 12:30 He that is not with me is against me ( - because we are at war - ) Many times the devils can win them back through enticement and intimidation, and they will cast off their convictions. But there's a chance the ones they lose will turn against them. Where they had an habitation, they now have a bitter enemy that will continue doing more damage to Satan's kingdom. It's a double loss. BobRyan Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 I have read several of Roger Morneau's books in the past, though not very recently, and found themprofitable. That includes the Journey to the Supernatural. One thing that impressed me, which he wrote, was his warning about trivialising demon possession to everyday occurrences, and becoming obsessed with such. My overall impression is that we probably do not remember each day the supernatural powers which would like to enslave us, and that one day we will appreciate the protection we have been given. His incredible answers to prayers book series is amazing - fantastic -- encouraging us all into a more consistent prayer life. His Trip into the Supernatural -- is very revealing -- so also the video - - . Interesting comment he makes there on the importance that the cult (that he was a member of for a few months) said that Satan places on evolutionism. in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." rush4hire Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 His incredible answers to prayers book series is amazing - fantastic -- encouraging us all into a more consistent prayer life. I read that book. It reminded me of Benny Hinn's "This is Your Day" show, and the 700 club, where intercessory prayer and miracles are commercialized. In this book, Roger Mornay goes on telling about the people who have written to him with prayer requests and he prayed and God answered. It's blessing seeking. Do you know 100 times more people testify how prayers are answered when they go to Benny Hinn's "anointed" shows, that rake in over $200 million / year? And as always, there's his trademark testimony about his "Satanic High Priest" oracle. That's weird. How can people feel comfortable with that? I read one other book about prayer, which is much better. I think it was by Randy Maxwell. It offers wisdom and experience so you can learn to pray for yourself. And it's not only prayer. It's a balance of prayer / study / and sharing. These 3 things are represented by the incense, the candlestick, and the showbread you find in the sanctuary. I would not go anywhere near this guy's books or videos. I would burn them: [color:#BF0000]Acts 19:19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all [men]: and they counted the price of them, and found [it] fifty thousand [pieces] of silver. I cannot trust the spiritual discernment of anyone who loves this kind of material. It is unclean. I think we have a case of seducing spirits messing with God's people. Revelation predicts we'd have such problems: [color:#BF0000]Rev. 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not... Rev. 22:8 ....I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which showed me these things. 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See [thou do it] not.... Rev. 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. 17:7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel?.... Administrators Gail Posted October 22, 2008 Administrators Posted October 22, 2008 Uh, no. Fairly recently I've had a customer who has had a answer to prayer just like how he used to get. What you should do is talk to people who knew him. From what I remember from when he was alive, he was well received by church members in regular standing as a humble follower of Christ. He was well respected. When he died, he was booked for an appearance at a General Conference session, I believe (perhaps someone who remembers better than I do can fill in more details) As I mentioned before, it could be his French manner that might seem strange to you. But ask around and try to find someone that knew him. We have NEVER had reason to withdraw his books from our shelves at the ABC. Taylor Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Right Gail. He was a deeply committed, sincere and certainly not prideful man in any way. His books have been a great blessing to many. Quote

Guest truthseeker007 Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Rush i agree with Gail and Taylor. I truly believe that Roger is a sincere and honourable man. Anyway, i cannot prove that he is real but you can t prove that he is fake. Therefore we can only conclude one thing; we shouldn t judge this man. I kind of got the impression that you want to enforce your point of view on others. You really need to get rid of those feelings that make you wanna be a judge. Quote

rush4hire Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Just a couple more things, and I'll be done. I don't want to be too negative. Ellen White says no one can repent for someone else. “There is need today of such a revival of true heartreligion as was experienced by ancient Israel. Repentance is the first step that must be taken by all who would return to God. No one can do this work for another. We must individually humble our souls before God and put away our idols. When we have done all that we can do, the Lord will manifest to us His salvation.”—Patriarchs and Prophets, 590. Quote I cant make a sig with 30 chrs
rush4hire Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Think about this pen name. It looks like it was created to impress your subconscious mind with a shocking message, like the kind used in subliminal sales techniques. "Morneau" is pronounced: "MORE NO" Or even, to the subconscious: "MORE NOW" "Roger" is what they say over the radio as an affirmative, like "yes", (they actually use the word "affirmative", too). So it's like saying: "YES MORE NO!" or even "YES MORE NOW!" You see the subliminal message? I watched a video about how the secret societies cook up these kinds of messages. I wish I could find that video. I'm sure he owes alot of sales to this little trick. Quote I cant make a sig with 30 chrs

Guest truthseeker007 Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Rush even if Roger made some biblical mistakes, who doesn t? I even believe that God makes mistakes too. Making mistakes is part of being human. We can pick a thousand things of Ellen White that make her look insane. For Instance, she said that wearing a dress turned ladies into psychos. We all make mistakes. Do you believe we should judge persons by their mistakes? Do you want that to be the way Jesus will measure you? How would you feel if Jesus forgot all of the nice things you have done, your intentions etc. and only focuses on your mistakes? You are a prisoner of your own mentality and i pray that you are able to escape. The bible also says that acts of love cover many sins. Quote

My last name is unique too, but I can't help what the pronunciation of it is. This type of paranoia is not healthy. Actually he was NEVER a wealthy man from any sales he ever had. If you knew what kind of money SDA authors make you would laugh. They are never ever wealthy. They write for the joy of writing, becuase they have a message they want to give to the world. I also know that many such writers have re-invested their meager earnings back into their ministry, into helping people in a real self-sacrificing way. Quote

rush4hire Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 As someone mentioned, Rush your posts say much more about yourself than they do about Morneau. God made a covenant of everlasting peace with a man who killed apostasy with a javelin to stop a plague. [color:#BF0000]Num. 25:7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw [it], he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; 25:8 And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel. ..... 25:11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy. 25:12 Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace: 25:13 And he shall have it, and his seed after him, [even] the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel. You can't have that covenant if you are willing to lay down and just let apostasy run all over your people, and destroy them like a plague. I don't care if it got by the R&H and the ABC. I don't care if the GC has New Theology pastors on their payroll and have embraced the New Theology apostasy, in so much that they have persecuted those who love the truth. And again, no one has yet told me what the difference is between me pointing out the error in Morneau's books and how Ellen White pointed out the error in Kellogg's book, The Living Temple. The Lord loves you. But if you are willing to take your stand with apostasy, and against spiritual discernment, and let evil have it's way, then I would have to say, you are not converted. Administrators Gail Posted October 24, 2008 Administrators Posted October 24, 2008 Is there something wrong with praying that the Lord forgive someone of their sins? What Morneau did was ask for the shed blood of Christ to cover a person. Is there something wrong to entreat the Lord for that as well? Just curious... I don't see any difference with what Jesus and your example of Stephen did. They could very easily have said, "I forgive you for what you are doing" but they didn't. They asked forgiveness of God on the other person's behalf. Even if God was not willing to do that, it shows the attitude of forgiveness on the part of one for another. It's like Moses pleading with God for the lives of the Hebrew people for THEIR rebellion. He identified with them even though it was not his sins that deserved the punishment they deserved. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
