Taylor Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Number one these books do not teach apostacy in my opinion. Number 2 they are not sensational..any more than "miracle stories from the mission field" are sensational. We serve an awesome powerful God who does miracles in people's lives, whether rescuing from Satanism, or rescuing them from postmodernism, or rescuing them from atheism or addictions. Quote
Taylor Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Sorry Rudywoofs if you felt that was too "in your face" in my last response, sorry to Rush4Hire. I just feel passionately about a God that can do incredible things, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions even if I don't agree with them at all. I am also very uncomfortable with the ideology that sees evil in people who, as far as I know, were or are very dedicated to God and sincere humble Christians who have not profited from "being sensation" but have tried to tell their experiences so as to benefit others in their walk with God. Woody Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Rush, I've read Ellen White, and you're no Ellen White. Sorry, just couldn't resist! To Dan Quayle and to Rush4hire .... [color:#BF0000]Duet. 1:17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; [but] ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment [is] God's... James 2:1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, [the Lord] of glory, with respect of persons. Acts 10:34 ...God is no respecter of persons This was a principle of righteousness in the days of Job, long before Moses. [color:#BF0000]Job 13:10 He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons. Job 32:21 Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man. And this: [color:#BF0000]Matt. 10:41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. There's a world of difference. Steve Wohlberg never had anything to do with the occult, so he can give a more reliable perspective on the thing. Jesus gives us information about the our enemy, and Ellen White gives alot of information, and many prophets also do. But none of them ever worshipped devils themselves. And certainly they would not have gotten their information from a non-repentant, Satanic priest. That priest would have also been deceived, so his information would be no good at all, as I've said: [color:#BF0000]2 Tim. 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. And there's no mentioned of Roger Morneau on Steve Wohlberg's web site, whitehorsemedia.com, so he must not have considered him a credible source about such matters. Google search: "Roger Morneau site:whitehorsemedia.com" amazingfacts.com is another web site I trust. They also have articles about spiritualism and the occult, and also never reference Roger Morneau. Google search: "Roger Morneau site:amazingfacts.com" Anyone that endorses Roger Morneau is going to lose credibility. Quote I cant make a sig with 30 chrs

Guest truthseeker007 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Rush come on man. Do you really believe that a person who was a dedicated adventist for more than 40 years was willingly or onwillingly deceiving people? What about the people that rescued him? They were sincerely asking God to get to know somebody they might help so they knew that the Sabbath was really important. These are the most humble and fair people i ve ever seen. In Holland we do have Roger Morneau his books on an adventist website. There is absolutely nothing that can convince me that he is a money loving liar. People are often accusing other people in order to hide their own struggles with sin, either concouisly or unconscously. This movement is not about who has got the most pure truth, but to point others to the basis biblical concepts of creation, sin and redemption. This earth is only between 6 and 10 thousand years old. Soon lies will never exist anymore. Roger Morneau surely has helped me strengthen my faith. If you are worried about apostate adventism you should rather worry about yourself. Because once the crisis breakes loose, only then we can make a distinction between real adventists and fake adventists. Adventists who love their life, who are not willing to be hated, persecuted and die for their principles, these are apostate adventists. Right now, we don t need division within this movement. God will take care of this movement the way he wants it. You are not God. I love Morneau as a brother and i don t care about his background. Even if he used to sacrifice little children on the altar of Satan, i still love and respect the brother. He is a new creation of Christ and as such you can not reject him, for to reject him is to reject his creator. Quote

Administrators Gail Posted October 24, 2008 Administrators Posted October 24, 2008 Quote: It's good to plead the blood of Christ on a person's behalf. But they need to be convicted of sin, not feel free from the burden of sin, until they have received that by their own prayer to God. No one can do that for another. Don't you believe this testimony, Gail? Originally Posted By: EG White Quote: “There is need today of such a revival of true heartreligion as was experienced by ancient Israel. When we have done all that we can do, the Lord will manifest to us His salvation.”—Patriarchs and Prophets, 590. I'm not saying that a person does not need to be convicted of sin or repent. Repentance is a gift of God. Without God's help we have no clue as to what our sins really are. Our selfish hearts will not admit or even know what the depth of our sin is. We have an inkling when we suffer the consequences that it could be our own fault, but unless God shows us our true state we will more than likely blame Him or blame someone else for our sins. What we do when we pray for others is become agents of mercy, entreating God's mercy for them. When people are not able to see clearly or pray rationally for whatever reason, why would it be wrong to pray on their behalf that the sins that have separated that person from the Lord be covered with the blood of Christ, in order that they may be able to repent? The prayers of many mothers have worked on this principle for wayward children. The mothers do not give up because their children have not repented. They hold the wayward ones up before God continually because of their love for them. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
rush4hire Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Rush. would you please check a dictionary for the difference between the words "where" and "were"? Thank you for pointing that out. I have had that defect for years and I think I know why. When I was 15, I spent alot of time reading Piers Anthony books, the bad effects of which still plague me, to this day. When I came across the "were-wolf", it puzzled me. I knew how it was pronounced, but it didn't seem the correct spelling. So, because of that, when I say "where", I think "were". So now you know the story. You may have actually cured me, in fact, by bringing this to light. Quote I cant make a sig with 30 chrs
rush4hire Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 The prayers of many mothers have worked on this principle for wayward children. The mothers do not give up because their children have not repented. They hold the wayward ones up before God continually because of their love for them. I commented on that principle here: http://clubadventist.com/forum/ubbthread...html#Post195097 I mentioned how Job interceded for his children. I suppose more needs to be said: [color:#BF0000]Job 1:5 And it was so, when the days of [their] feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings [according] to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually. "Job sent and sanctified them". That means Job would have sent teachers to teach them the ways of God. That's how we are sanctified: [color:#BF0000]John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. ... 17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. And Job makes sacrifices for his children in case they sinned. What we don't see, here, is Job whipping out a prayer list of hundreds of random people whom he has never met before, but who are special because they, or someone they knew, put their faith in him and wrote him fan-mail. We don't see this kind of thing anywhere, except in the Charismatic movement. And that movement was raised up in the Catholic church as an arm of the Ecumenical movement. But to be fair, in the Bible we see Peter's shadow healing people who have faith to be healed, (Acts 5:15). That was special. And special things happened with Paul: [color:#BF0000]Acts 19:11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: 19:12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. These miracles are signs that the Apostles of Christ have a special testimony that it's important for them to hear. That is that they should believe on Christ, who was raised from the dead, for the remission of sins. Without such miracles this testimony would be just unbelievable. But what testimony do the Charismatics give? What is the message of Benny Hinn and Pat Robertson who can heal you through the TV? They don't teach the resurrection, but the immortal soul. They don't teach the remission of sins, but they teach people to break God's law. So in spite of their miracles, their testimony is false. And God is now calling for us to, based on the testimony of Jesus, see through these miracles, and to focus on the teachings and doctrine. [color:#BF0000]Matt. 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 24:25 Behold, I have told you before. Matt. 16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign... What is the testimony of Roger Morneau? 1. That he is special, like the "anointed", famous, charismatic, ecumenical evangelists. Why is he special? Because he worshipped the Devil. So the message is, if you want to be special, worship the Devil. 2. It's OK to consult a spirit medium, even though God said not to do that. [color:#BF0000]Isaiah 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? 1 Chron. 10:13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD ... and also for asking [counsel] of [one that had] a familiar spirit, to inquire [of it]; Roger Morneau constantly consults a spirit medium for information. He is always referring to this Satanic High Priest for revelations. So, if we need more insights, we need to find ourselves a Satanic High Priest, and he will tell us everything we need to know, right? It's all bogus. God is not the author of confusion. If this testimony where legitimate, it would match with others, and would match up with Scripture and EGW. I have said Alberto Rivera's testimony was, for the most part, legitimate, because it matches up with many other testimonies, and with Ellen White's statements. But this is not the case with Morneau. rush4hire Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Here's a quote from "A Trip Into the Supernatural": The gospel ministers who have been conversing with demonic spirits through possessed individuals should count themselves fortunate that they did not live during Bible times if they had, their careers would have been short ones. ..... Do not speak to demonic spirits even to command them to depart in the name of Jesus. Let the Holy Spirit do the Work. Even Jesus said that He depended on the Spirit of to cast out demons (Matthew 12:28). This is another erroneous teaching. All we see is Jesus and His Apostles commanding the devils to come out. Moderators John317 Posted October 25, 2008 Moderators Posted October 25, 2008 In this same video, Roger assures us that the Seventh-Day Adventists are impervious to Satan's deceptions because they keep the Sabbath. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Guest truthseeker007 Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Of course, the sabbath sunday issue will be the decisive point in which you are able to prove your loyalty to God. Didn t Ellen White said that satan would impersonate Christ and that the only way in which you could make a distinction between the true one and the false one is by keeping the sabbath? Therefore, Morneau is absolutely right. I am thankfull for Roger his testimony because it confirms the truth from the other side. I have more doubts about Rivera than Roger Morneau... Quote

rush4hire Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 In Ministry of Healing, Ch. 16, "Prayer for the Sick", we read: Often some form of vice is the cause of feebleness of mind or body. Should these persons gain the blessing of health, many of them would continue to pursue the same course of heedless transgression of God's natural and spiritual laws, reasoning that if God heals them in answer to prayer, they are at liberty to continue their unhealthful practices and to indulge perverted appetite without restraint. If God were to work a miracle in restoring these persons to health, He would be encouraging sin. {MH 227.3} Quote I cant make a sig with 30 chrs

So if you're already convinced, then you don't need to read this post. Here's a copy of "A Trip Into the Supernatural" Go to page 24 on that pdf. He goes on and on saying it's dangerous, and it's a sin to cast out devils, like how Jesus did it. He says that to speak to a devil, to command it to come out, is consulting a devil. The gospel ministers who have been conversing with demonic spirits through possessed individuals should count themselves fortunate that they did not live during Bible times if they had, their careers would have been short ones......
