Guest truthseeker007 Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I am soooo depressed. I ve got a meeting somewhere but i don t know the place and time. If i don t appear on that meeting i ve lost another college year. Satan is desparately trying to stop me, he causes documents to disappear in stuff of other students, he works upon the minds of those that are supposed to help me. Please pray that i ll find out where and when that meeting is, i ve tried everything, but didn t receive any answers, not from my teacher, not from fellow students, not from my coordinator, not from the secretary. This is soooo typical, I am going to destroy that serpent i hate him sooooo bad, i can t believe i ever felt any sympathy for him at all. I won t bother him burning slowly in the flames till dust. Can t wait till see that happening! Quote

Remember that. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Lineman Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Hey my friend, Thanks for the song you posted a few days ago. What an awesome tribute to our God. I haven't been on the forum for several days, except to post a video now and then, but just wanted you to know that even though I am writing way late I have been praying for you too. In fact, there were times while at work that I suddenly felt the urge to pray for you specifically. It is totally amazing to me that God not only knows what is on our hearts (our concerns, our problems, our prayers) but He sends the answer just when we need it. Just like Pam said above, "prayer works. God was working behind the scenes for you before you even asked. Remember that." I have come to the place where I don't just think that maybe He answered, but KNOW He has answered specific prayers. I hope that you see this too. The emails you received did not just come by accident. You asked and God answered. And usually He waits until we have given up hope on ourselves. Praise the Lord for His kindness. How can anyone be an atheist, seriously? d Quote Visit and Share the BibleTimelines.com URL ! (Explain the Gospel in just a few minutes, or maybe even seconds.)
Guest truthseeker007 Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Thanks Lineman, nice to see u again. I ve went through very very hard times. I am talking out loud with myself accidently all the time. I am feeling so depressed. Today a medic car was driving by, i thought to myself, i should throw myself before the car. I am very very tired and i hang on, but i don t know why. i am exhausted. There is one problem i really need prayers for. For more than 13 years i have some sort of plastic inside my right ear. It was supposed to leave my ear naturally, but this hasn t happen. Now i can hear with my right ear only about 40-50 percent. With my left ear i can hear about 80 percent. It s very difficult for me, because i never hear what anybody is saying, causing more isolation, loneliness, sadness etc. Soon i have a trip for college to the Chinese embassy and i probably am not able to hear anything, if nothing changes. If somehow, God pulls the plastic out of my ear as soon as possible, i ll never have doubts about God again. So therefore i would like to ask anybody, to pray for my right ear. To be honest with you, i am afraid while i am asking this. It s like we all build our beliefs on things we cannot see, so it s strange to talk about things that are 'real'. You probably know what i am trying to say. Anyway, i need prayers, For now, suddenly while i am typing this, my right ear is open, i can hear a little bit more now. I still have these sea noises though, please pray that God will heal my right ear and i will never doubt his existence and presence again. Quote
Administrators Gail Posted November 27, 2008 Administrators Posted November 27, 2008 TS- Can't the doctor take out the plastic? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Guest truthseeker007 Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Only by using very painfull methods. The left one had to be sucked out. It hurted so bad, since then i have always been afraid to get back to the hospital again. I don t want a painfull bleeding ear and stuff. It s no option unfortunately. Quote

Lineman Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Hi TS, I see you are the "featured member" today. Congrats! How in the world did you get plastic in your ears anyway, or should I not be asking? How long has that been in your ear, 13 years? (You said that it was suppose to come out on its own. When was it suppose to be out?) Whatever, you can be sure that there will be more than one person asking for this to be done for you and because Jesus has promised that when two or more agree on something it will be done by Him. It is important for you to tell Him that this is what you want as well, OK? Thanks by the way for giving us something specific that we can be asking God for on your behalf. That helps a great deal. For one, you will know that it is God who answered your prayers and therefore that He is not only real, but also really cares for you. Please keep us posted. (Praying now.) Lineman Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 TS, I know how easy it is for us humans to make promises that we fully intend to keep, but also how easy it is for us to forget our promise. For that reason, my prayer for you includes a request that, after this plastic comes out of your ear and you can hear well again, whenever you begin to doubt God and His existance you will be given a short time of total deafness in that same ear until you remember your promise to God. Fair enough? (This is what I would want God to do for me and so it is also my prayer for you.) Blessings my friend, d Quote Visit and Share the BibleTimelines.com URL ! I still have these sea noises though, please pray that God will heal my right ear and i will never doubt his existence and presence again. I think I know and understand what you are saying. None of us have ever seen God. We have never really felt a physical "something" next to us that we know is God. None of us can scientifically prove that He is real, yet we all have seen evicence of that fact. We all have felt God and know that He is with us, yet it is hard to put your finger on anything in a way that we can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that He is real. Ellen White talks about an "experimental" relationship with God, one where after seeing what He has done for us and for others we can KNOW that He is. The Bible is full of stories about how people have been blessed by God in ways that leave no doubt and faith comes by hearing these stories. But the biggest "proof" comes when it is our own requests that are answered in ways that there can be no other way it happened. This is the experimental relationship we each need. I understand the fear you have too. When God removes this plastic from your ear there will be no excuse for not believing in Him and that can be scarry, especially when most of what you have heard about Him is evil. I am hoping that you will soon see that He is NOT evil at all, but full of love and concern for YOU. You have been suffering with this for 13 years. God is a LOVING God and He will take this from you. Then you will know that all of the bad you have heard about Him was wrong. You have nothing to lose and ETERNAL life to gain when you learn to trust Him completely. Quote Visit and Share the BibleTimelines.com URL ! Guest truthseeker007 Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Thanks Lineman, i think we are on the same level. I think it is fair what you suggest, that as soon as i am starting to doubt about God, even after the plastic is removed, i become deaf again. But oh man if God would pull that stupid piece of plastic out of my ear, i would be thankfull unto death. I hope God will answer our prayers. If he does i have learned some important lessons: - God works through his people - God does care about peope - God is real and there when you really need him I feel like i really need my right ear to heal. It prevents me from talking to anybody, i am not able to hear sermons, lectures etc. It is really really annoying... Quote
Members phkrause Posted November 28, 2008 Members Posted November 28, 2008 I'm in agreement with Lineman. I really like what he had to say. You are still on our pray list. Woody Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 TS ... I am praying also. And since I have the longest ears on the forum ... I especially know how important they are. But my prayer is that God in His infinite wisdom ... will do the best for you. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Lineman Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 TS, You can see that there are at least 3 people praying for you right now, plus yourself. (My thanks to PK and Red for joining us and I am sure that there are even more who are praying for you, but would rather not let us know about it. ) I think that this would be a good time for you to promise the Lord that when He heals your ear that you will not be putting junk music, etc. into it anymore. You mentioned that you find yourself talking out loud. That is not a bad thing, but keep in mind that the Bible tells us that what we say actually works on our own minds, so if you find yourself saying bad things out loud (either about yourself or about God, etc.) make a conscious effort to say something out loud that will counter act what you have just said. God can and will help you with this, so just ask. As soon as your ear is healed (right after giving thanks and praise to your Creator) would also be a good time to change your signature from "atheist" to "believer" or something. :smilewink: d Quote Visit and Share the BibleTimelines.com URL ! Guest truthseeker007 Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Lineman you are right, if God heals my ear i will never wear headhones again and listen to hard music! It s a promise. So i geuss now all i can do is sit back and wait and let God do the work for his glory. I also have asked the members of the three angels message forum to pray for the same thing. So now let s hope that God comes through... Quote
Morepork Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Hello Truthseeker, I can relate to your problem with your ear, and I understand how it must be driving you crazy. I had a plastic tube in my ear for 18 months after my ear canal collapsed. The tube restored the collapse, but I have been left with a hole in my eardrum and not much hearing, and as a musician,I find it very frustrating. The sea noise you talk about is tinnitus, which I have in both ears at 2 different levels of pitch. If I focus on the noise, I could easily go mad. I choose not to focus, but to distract myself in other meaningful activities. Yes, I have been annointed twice, but I still have this debilating problem, and because people can't see it, they expect you to hear everything! I don't believe we can bargin with God in saying "If He heals, I will never.......... Put your absolute trust in Him,and He will sustain you. Twentyfour years on, I can say, God is my help! Morepork Quote Morepork
cricket Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 [aside] Morepork, a friend of mine had the same problem you have with the hole in the eardrum. He's undergone surgery now to repair the hole and everything is looking good. It may be something you could consider as well. Have you asked the doctors about another procedure? Might be worth a try. Lineman Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 It's important, I think, to remember that sometimes God does not answer prayers in the ways that we want Him to. But that doesn't mean He hasn't answered, or won't. Pam, you make a good point, but I think that this is a little different. Paul had some kind of "thorn" that He asked God to remove and God said no. I think that the difference is that Paul knew God was real and he already knew what He was like. TS is wanting a "sign" to prove that God is real and what kind of God He is, kind of like Gideon asking if what he thinks God has told him is really from God. It is my belief that us asking that God show our friend TS what he needs is exactly what Jesus was doing the whole 3 1/2 years during His ministry, trying to demonstrate to whomever that God really does care about the individual, He cares about each one of us. It is also my belief that God wants this to happen, because it is for His glory. This is about God showing TS who He is, so it is for both God's benefit and TS's. God is about saving souls and TS wants to know if this God is the kind of God that he wants to allow to run his life, Someone he can trust. The promise is that if we seek Him and His righteousness with all our hearts we WILL find Him. Pam, thanks for the reminder though. You are very right in that sometimes God will answer in a way that is totally unexpected. I have had it happen in my own life (more than once) and not that long ago. Guest truthseeker007 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Morepork i understand what you are saying. It s soooo annoying. I am glad that at least my left ear is normal because the plastic tube was removed about 10 years ago. But i agree with Lineman i cannot trust a God without knowing if he is there for me and cares about me. Lineman is absolutely right. I want to know if the SDA church is God s movement and if God really cares about me. Jesus gives so many hope in the New Testament, and i think that if we really need it, if we have searched God all our lives, if we are willing to sacrifice everything for God, that we should be allowed to consume that hope so i can pass hope to others. Think about the valueble lessons i would learn if God healed my ear: - I would know that the SDA church is God s movement - I would know that God cares about individuals - I would know that God works through his people - I would know that i could evangalise for him - I would know that i could help others whose prayers are unanswered by explaining some of the necessary conditions involved To be honest with you, i have serious doubts about whether there is a biblical God, whether he is good or bad, whether he is a liar or speaking truth, whether the SDA church is from God or the devil. I am on the brink of giving in to atheism totally, or consider the God of the bible equal to other Gods. Maybe every religion is inspired by some sort of being who explains himself in different regions, cultures etc. in different ways. Maybe the people subjected to these religions started competing with each other about who the greatest God is whereas they all have their same origin. If God doesn t heal my ear, i am not willing and able anymore to believe in the SDA doctrines. Then i can do no other than give in to the claims that Ellen White had a brain disorder, was a plagiarist, the views of Desmond Ford etc. Then i am seriously worried about this movement. Then i would name all of the misunderstandings and the fear, legalism etc. in the movevement and present them as a perversion of the true God. There have been sooooooo many false money loving prophets in sheep clothes, i think Ellen White is not specific enough to be able to find out whether she is from God or not. Quote
