Richard Holbrook Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Anyway, so I told my friend Dennis to pray out loud when stumpy came around, and to use the name of Jesus Christ. He started doing that and reading the Bible, and eventually stumpy left him alone. He's been stumpy free for years. Quote
wayfinder Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 RH, you are right about the Freemasons. Albert Pike was an evil man who appears to have had some powerful influence in his time, do a search on the internet for him. It seems he worshiped Satan and had a bracelet through which he communicated with Satan on a regular basis. He foretold of three world wars the first two have happened and were between the exact countries he foretold and the third would be between the "Christian nations" and the "Moslem nations". I am not advocating these prophecies, just saying that they are there. The book I had was old, early twentieth century. It was obviously connected to, or protected by, demons. I want absolutley nothing to do with anything evil. Quote

You should be able to get it-- or at least order it-- at the Adventist Book Center. And there are places on the Web where you can order it. Moderators John317 Posted August 8, 2009 Moderators Posted August 8, 2009 [Thanks for the link John. So Vaughn Allen is your dad? Yes. He passed away last Sept. I'll put up a link to the pictures of him, etc. The Review and Herald also published a biography of William Miller that he wrote, called The Urgent Voice. Richard Holbrook Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Sorry to hear that. I saw a pcture of him that you posted in the photo section. Quote

Richard Holbrook Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 I see the resemblence. You'll be able to see him soon. Can I get "The Urgent Voice" at the ABC? Quote
Moderators John317 Posted August 8, 2009 Moderators Posted August 8, 2009 You're welcome, Lutz13. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Moderators John317 Posted August 8, 2009 Moderators Posted August 8, 2009 Sorry to say the ABC doesn't carry it now, as R&H edition went out of print; but you can purchase it from another publisher, online: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Urgent-Voice/Pastor-Robert-Gale/e/9781572584471 Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Moderators John317 Posted August 8, 2009 Moderators Posted August 8, 2009 "Vaughn Allen" was his middle name, and he chose to write under that name because of the "controversial" nature of the subject. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Solja247 Posted August 9, 2009 Author Posted August 9, 2009 Wow I have learnt a lot, thanks for posting guys. Now I was thinking about this demonic possesions etc. And I think I have a conclusion. Satan is not that powerful. He was not even able to mimic the plagues God sent to Egypt. Satan has a limit. His main agenda is deception. Decieving people. So Satan would use deception much more than demonic possesions? I dont know its just a theory. Quote
Richard Holbrook Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Deception is his #1 thing, but don't assume that he is not powerful. Quote
Solja247 Posted August 9, 2009 Author Posted August 9, 2009 If God is on our side he is weak. Thats what I mean. Quote
Richard Holbrook Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 The power Satan has over the human mind is wonderful. He labors most earnestly to keep the heart bound up in self. {5T 149.2} Quote
