Dr. Shane Posted August 13, 2009 Author Posted August 13, 2009 Noah did not need the grace defined by Paul because he was just, lawful, and righteous (Strong's 2580), and for that reason God found him to have integrity, full of truth, without blemish or spot, upright and undefiled (Strong's 8549). That was before he started eating meat. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Dr. Rich Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Good point dgrimm, without plants around, one would have to eat the clean animals that went into the ark. But then what would the animals who ate grass eat? Trouble is, we just don't know and everything is speculation. Unless they had lots of seaweed around. Quote

Dottie Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Was Noah in the ark long enough after the ark landed for plant life to mature enough to be eaten by either Noah and/or the animals? Quote

Members phkrause Posted August 13, 2009 Members Posted August 13, 2009 From what I understand and not sure where I've heard this, but as at creation things were regenerated to grow quickly. Not sure how accurate that is but I believe I've read that somewhere, the Great Controversy, maybe. I'll have to check into it though. Maybe John or some else would know more. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Liz Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Perhaps, some of the animals went into hibernation? I know that not all of them would, but maybe enough did, so that when they finally were able to come out of the ark, that enough of the food was still available to eat until the new plants had a chance to regrow? Haldog Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 This Day With God (1979), page 210, paragraph 6 PP 92-- But after the Fall, men chose to follow their own sinful desires; and as the result, crime and wretchedness rapidly increased.... They delighted in destroying the life of animals; and the use of flesh for food rendered them still more cruel and bloodthirsty, until they came to regard human life with astonishing indifference. But I thought many SDA's were vegetarian. From this quote I'm guessing they aren't since they perform abortions for profit daily in their church-affiliated hospitals. Quote "You may not agree with everyone. But if you are an honest man, when someone says something you disagree with it’ll drive you to the Word. If you find out that you were wrong and change your thinking then you are the better for it. If you go to the Word and find out that you were right then you have been strengthened. But either way always go to the Word!!” Billye Brim
Moderators John317 Posted August 14, 2009 Moderators Posted August 14, 2009 But I thought many SDA's were vegetarian. From this quote I'm guessing they aren't since they perform abortions for profit daily in their church-affiliated hospitals. About 50% of SDA are vegetarian. Many eat no eggs or dairy products at all. What goes on in SDA hospitals has no relationship to what SDAs eat. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Haldog Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 HEY HALDOG I think this quote is talking about people that did not follow GOD dgrimm60 If your church is killing innocent babies through the workings of their hospitals (and they are frequently bragging about their health care system) then I question that they follow God. That was my point grimm. How can a church which claims to follow "all 10" of the commandments make such a grievous mistake when it comes to life? Quote "You may not agree with everyone. But if you are an honest man, when someone says something you disagree with it’ll drive you to the Word. If you find out that you were wrong and change your thinking then you are the better for it. If you go to the Word and find out that you were right then you have been strengthened. But either way always go to the Word!!” Billye Brim

Haldog Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 What goes on in SDA hospitals has no relationship to what SDAs eat. That is not true! I can walk into my local SDA hospital (SMMC) and get an abortion for my wife or girlfriend but I can't get any ham or bacon. <edit>Can't get the ham or bacon in the hospital cafeteria that is. Quote "You may not agree with everyone. But if you are an honest man, when someone says something you disagree with it’ll drive you to the Word. Stan Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Haldog I am not sure that is completely true regarding abortion, there was a news release done in the past, they do not do walk in abortions and most, if not all, do not do non-life threatening abortions on demand, that you can get in other hospitals.
