Hmm... I thought that temptation came from within us, that pesky sinful nature again... Satan uses it to his advantage, for sure, and attacks our weak points, but there has to be something in us to "link up" with what he tries to throw our way. Just a thought. Temptations come from within and from without. sky Jesus talked about our lusts rising out of our evil hearts. So when the enemy plants a thought in our minds (Job chapter 1&2 illustrate this), our carnal heart responds to it. This is why the enemy tries to tempt us on those things we are most attached to. But this is also why people can become confused when an alien thought arrives in their mind, it can also cause great guilt, because they think they are responsible for that thought, when all they need to do is turn away from it and turn to God...
