The Seven Last Plagues

The passages from Ezekiel and Isaiah have been shown to you before, again and again, but you do not believe. So if you were to read them one more time, will you accept them?

"Behold, therefore, I will bring strangers against you, the most terrible of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and defile your splendor. They shall throw you down into the Pit and you shall die the death of the slain in the midst of the seas. Will you still say before him who slays you, I am God? But you will be a man, and not God, in the hand of him sho slays you. You shall die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of aliens; for I have spoken, says the Lord." Ezekiel 28:7-10.

"All the kings of the nations, all of them, sleep in glory, everyone in His own house. But you are cast out of your grave like an abominable branch, like the garment of those who are slain, thrust through with a sword, who do down to the stones of the pit, like a corpse trodden underfoot." Isaiah 14:18,19.

And as we have already seen before, Mrs. White, in G.C. p.672, quotes Ezekiel 28:6-8,16-19 and applies them to Lucifer after the 1000 years.

"Notwithstanding that Satan has been constrained to acknowledge God's justice and to bow to the supremacy of Christ, his character remains unchanged. The spirit of rebellion, like a mighty torrent, again bursts forth. Filled with frenzy, he determines not to yield the great controversy. The time has come for a last desperate struggle against the King of heaven. He rushes into the midst of his subjects and endeavors to inspire them with his own fury and arouse them to instant battle. But of all the countless millions whom he has allured into rebellion, there are none now to acknowledge his supremacy. His power is at an end. The wicked are filled with the same hatred of God that inspires Satan; but they see that their case is hopeless, that they cannot prevail against Jehovah. Their rage is kindled against Satan and those who have been his agents in deception, and with the fury of demons they turn upon them.

Saith the Lord: 'Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God; behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness. They shall bring thee down to the pit.' 'I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. . . . I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. . . . I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. . . . Thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.'" Ezekiel 28:6-8, 16-19. Great Controversy, 672.

Now please don't tell me that these words don't apply to Lucifer because that won't work. It says clearly that he will be brought down into the pit by the hand of the most terrible of the nations and that he will die at their hand. I don't care if he is the last one to die.

There seems to be some dispute as to whether the first part of that chapter is talking to Satan. Immediately after the part you use, it starts talking to the "King of Tyre" and identifies him as Satan.

"You have been in Eden the garden of God;" and

"You are the anointed cherub that covers;" and

"You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, till iniquity was found in you."

And for the King of Tyre it says I(GOD) will cast you to the ground, I will lay you before kings,

I(GOD) will bring forth a fire,

I will bring you to ashes.

Where as for the Prince of Tyre, it does not identify him as Satan. It even refers to him as a MAN. "yet you are a man,"

But even if it were Satan, what would make " They shall bring you down" stand above "I WILL BRING YOU DOWN"?

Why would "They" be correct, and "I" be incorrect?

You see? That line of reasoning is far from being conclusive, like you make it out to be.

Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.” Rev. 16:1.

The Temple spoken of in this verse IS IN HEAVEN, therefore the command to pour out the bowls of wrath some as a result of a decision made by God.

And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever, Rev.15:7.

Again, we clearly see the seven angels being given the seven bowls containing the wrath of God by other heavenly beings (the four living creatures). We know for sure who gave these creatures the contents of the bowls and that is the God that lives forever and ever. This cannot be Satan because he will not and has not lived 'forever and ever'.

These bowls are punishments for those wicked that dwell on earth during the Great Tribulation and cause harm to the righteous.

So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful sores came upon the people who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Rev.16:2.

Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and amazing, seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is finished. Rev.15:1.

These 7 bowls are poured out on the wicked in the same order as the 7 trumpets were on the world.

Satan does not have anything to do with the 7 bowls of wrath, except to watch helplessly as they are poured out on his minions.

I believe you are right Musicman, which dosn't happen very often. Maybe we should just keep this to ourselves.
