bonnie Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Getting back to the topic at hand... All I know is I'm getting tired of these Islamic terrorists screwing everything up for everybody. I travel alot and it makes me mad that the airlines are having to go overboard to make the experience as taxing, tedious and frustrating as they possibly can. It take the fun out of going somewhere. Yes, yes, I know that it is for the safety of the people but come on. The rules are so easy to circumvent, are redundant in most cases and basically a burden on those law abiding citizens who travel simply to travel and not to enact some terrorist plot. I think we all are. Many of the rules do nothing and this one could have been prevented. People are pretty resourceful in finding ways, but most could be stopped. This guy didn't even have a passport if the news is correct Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman

The 'no water' or 'bottles with only 50 ml or less in them' makes no sense. Does someone want to tell these guys how much nitroglycerin it takes to blow something up? A mere fraction! If a chemical bomb takes more than a litre, then can't 5 terrorists take their small bombs and combine them together in the bathroom? If they are worried about chemicals in water bottles, make the people take a swig right there in security. If they don't die, then they can take it on. Pretty simple and people can actually bring their own water instead of paying exorbitant prices for water in the terminal. Now I hear that carry on luggage is banned when flying into the States! No carry on luggage! I sure hope that this doesn't apply for those taking flights within the States as we always fly out of Seattle.Great money making ploy! Now they charge people for stow away luggage when they didn't before, and now they force you to put more underneath for more money!! It's ridiculous! Quote www.corbel.theacaistory.com

I don't know that I believe the silly rules have a money making conspiracy behind them so much as busy work makes people think they are safer. hch Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Quote: This event {9/11/01} that changed the world as we know it is identified in the book of Daniel, but who among us has found it? Perhaps that's because it has not made its way into our Sabbath School Quarterlies yet? Quote: Kind of a cheap shot at many that have and continue to study their bibles faithfully that do not agree with you I certainly was not intending to shoot anyone. I asked a question - who among us has found it? But to anyone who was injured or in any way wounded by my question, I apologize. Quote: Sorry, don't think that 9/11 had any religious or prophetic importance.Other than another in man's cruelty to man and getting worse. I speak of what I know. I won't venture to speak for another especially someone who I have yet to become acquainted. As I understand our history, if there was a disagreement regarding Bible prophecy or doctrine, the early pioneers of the SDA Church used to gather; pray and study together until all the facts were reviewed. Then and only then would they come to a conclusion. But now when facts are proffered, SDA's in general refuse to look, discount what they have not studied, and dig their heels in. Is that a good example to set before the world? But alas it is the standard that is so prevalent in the world. We see it at Revelation Seminar and the like. When new truths are offered to non-SDA's that is exactly what they do. They reject diet, the Sabbath, the Sanctuary, and everything else that cuts across what they hold dear. Has the standard of the world crept in unawares to become the standard of the SDA Church? Or have so many people come to the truth from other persuasions that they have brought some of the world with them? Quote: 9/11 was a wake up call for God's Remnant people. So many things happened in reaction to that tragedy that we should be forewarned that should another earth shaking event come (and it will) the rapid response of our panicked nation will be mind-boggling. Surely the final events of earth's history will be rapid ones, and 1/2 of the Ten Virgins will awake too late. Quote: It was a wake up call in the sense of how fast your world can change and it be your final day on earth. It could likely be as you say if another 9/11 occurs. I don't know that and neither do you.Current events are taking an interesting tone without another 9/11 It is good to honestly admit to what we do not know. That says allot about a person. But how can anyone venture to say with any degree of accuracy what another knows or does not know? I have found 9-11-01 in Daniel 7 and to date no one who has read my book Put-Out The Light has refuted the facts. On the contrary. They affirm that we are living in the end of the endtime. If I have misspoken, correct me to the glory of God. If anyone does not see how I came to a conclusion that they have not experienced consider the facts and embrace and cling to truth. As Brothers and Sisters in Christ let's lift up each other in prayer and be gentle lest we break a bruised reed and cause needless offense. Every prophetic statement that I make is based on my personal study of the Scriptures. Though I am a 4-generation SDA with roots going back to Maine and 1844, I don't have a secondhand relationship with Christ or a superficial secondhand understanding of SDA teachings or Bible prophecy. God called me to study Daniel and He has blessed that study with the very things that we need to know in the very hour in which we live. If 9/11 has not aroused us from slumber to search for the deeper truths in the mines of the Scriptures and Spirit of Prophecy, the next disaster will set things in motion that will preoccupy us so much that we won't have time to do our homework. That seems to be Satan's plan. Keep folks so busy with the cares of life that they are taken off guard, by the very things that are plainly spoken of in the Bible. loudcry.2007@gmail.com Quote His child Henry Bible student/Author https://www.loudcry101.com

But alas it is the standard that is so prevalent in the world. Since 9/11 any number of people have found it foretold. You are hardly the only one. It may come as a shock to you that others, myself included are quite familiar with Daniel and Rev,and do not find what you claim to have. Quote: We see it at Revelation Seminar and the like. When new truths are offered to non-SDA's that is exactly what they do. They reject diet, the Sabbath, the Sanctuary, and everything else that cuts across what they hold dear. This topic has nothing to do with your claims at all. Quote: Has the standard of the world crept in unawares to become the standard of the SDA Church? Or have so many people come to the truth from other persuasions that they have brought some of the world with them? What does the standard of the SDA chruch have to do with this topic. Or are you saying your claims to understanding Dan 7 as telling of the 9/11 attack has been discarded as lowering the standard of the SDA church Quote: It is good to honestly admit to what we do not know. CyberGuy Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 You know this is the second time someone tried to light a bomb with a match or something. Stupid on a closed plane where passengers will not tolerate that kind of supicious acts. Sooner or later someone will learn how to detonate a bomb via some batteries to send a slight electric charge to some explosives by pressing a button inside ones coat. Fortunately Al Qaida does not seem to have savy enough bomb makers to make something that complicated. This attempt will make it so we put more complex scanners that can see underneath ones clothes, Those already exist. I have gone through them. Not as intrusive as a patdown. Still unnerving that they can see you as if you had no clothes on. (Grin) Quote Riverside CA
