Hehe - thought of that much later as I was riding home. No, fine as Mr Adams' product is, I was thinking of the original Adam, and that dihydrogen monoxide stuff he was so hooked on...

Also tried beer and spit it out because it tasted like piss (sorry if that offends anyone).

I'm not sorry to hear you mention the word (a form of the word is in the Bible) but I am wondering how you came to know what, well, you know, tasted like. LoL

"And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he slew all the house of Baasha: he left him not one that pisseth against a wall, neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends."1 Kings 16:11 KJV

Course it's not politically correct in public nowadays or socially correct in mixed company.

If your beer tastes like pee, you're not choosing the right beer. ;-)

As an aside, when I went to college, in the bathroom, there was this question scralled on the wall-

Why does beer pass thru you so fast?

Below it was the answer-

Because it doesn't have to stop and change color.....

Perhaps we should start a poll to determine which tastes better ... beer or piss.

O.k. I googled it, water intoxication occurs if you drink 3 liters (just under a gallon) in a short amount of time--the people that they used for examples had done it in about 2 hours. For children it takes even less water and happens faster.

So if you are going to drink a gallon of water, you do need to take all day to do it.

Unless you consider Jolt, that soda that is supposively 100% caffeine.

There are no 100% caffeine drinks. One drop of pure caffeine is enough to kill you.

Jolt is a caffeinated soda pop that claims to have twice the caffeine and 2X sugar of any other soda pop out there....

So, with the sugar content interfering with caffeine absorption, you could say that Jolt his 100% caffeine...and be relatively correct... Sorta like being in the same rural Idaho neighborhood without a car...[and if you know anything about rural Idaho neighborhoods, you know that they are big....about a mile square.]

Nup, none at home at the moment...

The reason I don't drink any more wine or beer, etc., is not because I think one beer or glass of wine in themselves is sinful but because I know that if I do that, I will probably go back to drinking more of it than one glass or bottle. One or two bottles of beer or even a glass of wine is enough to make me feel high. That used to be good because I didn't have to spend much in order to get the affect I was after, but now that I've stopped drinking, it would be an unwise thing because drinking any at all would cause me to drop my guard if you know what I mean.

So while I wouldn't tell someone that it's a sin for them to drink a glass of wine, I would say that it is sinful to drink to the point of being drunk. My experience tells me that most people do not stop with just one glass or one beer.

I'm a member of the American Legion. I seldom go to their dinners and meetings, though, because not only are they on Sabbath but when I'm there, I'm tempted to drink. I could get a soda but I have to admit that I feel like getting a beer or mixed drink, and I know where that would lead.

I had lots of various kinds of booze in our house for about four years after I stopped drinking it. I kept it until I was sure I really didn't want it any more. Then I gave it away. I didn't want to get rid of it earlier because I was afraid I would just go and get more of it if I didn't have any in my house. Now I know my decision is permenant. I'm not tempted to drink any more as long as I stay away from bars or where it's readily available. I trust Christ to keep me; it's me that I don't trust.

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

And then there is another reason for abstaining, perhaps not from purely self motivation.
